Avatar f tn I might be pregnant and my psychiatrist told me not to worry about the embryo. He told me that even while I'm taking 15 mg of Aripiprazole and 50 mg of Sertraline daily, there is no danger. I'm really worried. if I'm pregnant, would these doses harm my embryo being taken daily?
Avatar f tn What is the lethal dose of aripiprazole, quetiapine and lamotrigine? Mix of them.
Avatar f tn Hi I'm on 50mg of methadone and 10mg of aripiprazole and I'm wondering if I should keep taking the 2 together as it makes me mega drowsy and also is this combination a thing to worry av about can someone let me know please?
Avatar f tn ve decided (and sent an email) to talk to the NP at the pain clinic about switching me over to a long-acting medication for my pain. I'm thinking it will give me better relief. Even though I'm on a high dose now (45 mg. every 4 hours of oxycodone,) my pain seems to return after 2 to 3 hours. And I did have a bad flare-up this weekend; most likely due to the fact I ran low on medication due to my script not coming in the mail. Now it's a question of which medication???
774805 tn?1235948571 yes antipsychotic and called abilify in ireland and Us.
Avatar m tn I would try replacing the Aripiprazole (Abilify) and the Sertraline (Zoloft) by taking 25mg of 5-HTP 3x Daily for 1 week as anymore than this could induce Serotonin Syndrome. I would then recommend swapping the tablets out for a 5-HTP transdermal patch which will release a more even dose of 5-HTP throughout the day especially if you have BPD as otherwise the oral form could cause mania.

Avatar f tn Hello! Im 18 and im currently having an abnormally long period with a very heavy flow i’ve never had this bad before and a rotten smelling thick bloody discharge. I have been pretty stressed recently but I don’t think stress can cause this. This is the 8th day i’ve been on it. My last period started on may 9th and ended on may 15th. before that i had not have a period for over 11 months . it also had a very heavy flow but did not smell this rancid or bleed as much as my current one.
Avatar f tn BT pain is not a new concept. Of course, I've had pharmacists ask (when reading my Rx), "What is BT pain?" Chronic pain is not taught in medical schools, except as a side. Perhaps we need a new word -- when people see "chronic pain" they probably believe its like the pain of a broken bone, only it lasts longer. I have no idea what kind of education a pharmacy PhD grad receives on the disease state known as chronic pain.
Avatar f tn While many doctors do prescribe a short acting med along with the long acting med, the short acting meds are typically written to be taking AS NEEDED for breakthrough pain (of course, also giving a time frame such as every 6 hours) - the breakthrough meds are not typically written to be taken EVERY day. In fact, the goal of a long acting med is to reduce the need for breakthrough meds. therefore, you may or may not need to take any more narcotic than what is in your long acting med.
656111 tn?1273820739 I was wondering which do you think I am better off to be on short acting med or long acting med? Because when I take short acting percocet which is 10/650 and I am only allowed to take 2 times a day. But when after I take one, I would say within 3 hours then pain comes back slowly then in real pain and I'd have to wait until its other time to take 2nd pill of percocet. I'm just sick of it. So what do I say or bring this issue up to my primary doctor when I see him on Nov. 25th?

Avatar f tn Venlafaxine is used to treat general anxiety and abilify(aripiprazole) is used to treat depression. Good luck!!!!
Avatar m tn s hard to understand here though is the drug is long gone from your system. How could it be to blame for the low libido? You've had your testosterone level checked, correct? You say that is higher than normal. Do you suffer the originating disorder that caused the need for the antipsychotic? Do you see a psychologist?
Avatar f tn I take 40 units Lantus (long acting), and sliding scale Novolog (fast acting) insulins. My bg is always so high in the mornings, I have to take Novolog and wait for sugar to come down to eat. I've had diabetes for many years, but never knew for sure which one! My dr would switch my diagnosis all the time. But went to endo and they did a blood test, and said I'm type 1. I'm angry my dr. never did anything about this.
Avatar f tn I have just started taking Aripiprazole(Abilify) and have found it to have some beneficial effects on my mood. However I am also finding myself to be extremely drowsy. I have heard that this side effect wears off with time. Has anyone else experienced this? It's the first antipsychotic I've taken that's had any effect so I don't want to stop it but the fact I can literally go to sleep while standing up is making my life difficult.
Avatar f tn You could try taking it in the morning because it typically keeps people awake and causes restlessness. Also, when i first started on aripiprazole (abilify) i experienced some side effects but they went away after a couple of weeks. Hopefully yours will go away as well, if they don't go away, however, talk to your psychiatrist. You don't have to deal with any unwanted side effects if you don't want to. That is what mine always tells me anyways....
601045 tn?1291292518 My son who is three and ahalf has started acting out at daycare. He wont go to sleep at daycare, he has been screaming at his teacher, hitting her and trying to bite her. This is not like him at all. My friend said I might need to look into counceling since he has had a rough past. He is not my son by blood, his daddy and I are married. Him and his little sister came to live with us about a year ago. His biomomma never calls or anything. He hasnt seen or talked to her since March.
Avatar n tn The long-term efficacy of aripiprazole in the treatment of schizophrenia has not been established. The physician who elects to use Abilify for extended periods should periodically reevaluate the long-term usefulness of the drug for the individual patient." You may already be aware of this classification, but just thought I'd clarify for others who might be reading this post.
Avatar f tn You took it for too long to stop cold turkey. It could go on quite a while. I hate to see anyone go through that! I know all too well how it feels, and it's awful!
Avatar n tn Like mom every weekday dad every weekend. I dont know how long you have been in the picture but I know with my oldest son when his grandmother started watchin him while I worked he was like you said a perfect angel after he got used to going there and getting a routine he acts up with her, before he would never do that. I think his problem is the juggling around. I think once that is stable he will calm down. He will get use to you being around and will settle down.
