aricept how does it work

m momentarily off the Aricept, my work performance has declined. Basically it looks like I have to keep taking Aricept in order to do my job. So my question is, do I tell my employer about my cognitive problems? It sounds like I could lose my job, get a poor performance evaluation, all that that implies, because I'm having cognitive difficulties. My immediate supervisor knows about my diagnosis. Will revealing that I'm having cognitive problems be a bad idea?

Let me know how you do - I'm curious to see whether I'm an anomaly, or whether Aricept really does help cog fog.

my mom also took it and it made her worse we took her off of it, its only to last a year and help slow it down but i have talk to lots and they say same thing you are there was no difference , just the cost of the meds. sorry its so hard to watch our love one go down, but you will be blessed for being there and doing all your doing . m glad you guys brought this up. I had no idea that Aricept worked that way. Does it give you a lift too----you know like ritalin?

once my handgun was missing and he accused her or her friends (when the last time I saw it HE was taking it to show his friends at work for hunting season). Right after he became sober he was very forgetful. 2 years ago he put 1,000 cash in the spare room from his Christmas Fund to pay off the credit card bill when it came along with my Christmas Card ... he can't remember where he put it. We're still searching for it to this day. Any ideas?

D'oh-oh'oh! Evidently I'm not 100% better! I haven't been on Aricept for 70 days - it's only been 40+ days, maybe 50. Dunno what I was thinking. I've never before had to worry about whether I could overdose on a drug. I think I accidentally took two one time - I had a hard time sleeping, and felt a little like everything was in high-resolution. Little hard to explain, but easier if you've ever taken hallucinogens.

I have no diagnosis, but my problems with concentration and clear thinking are what trouble me most. Good luck with the Aricept, I hope you update us on how it goes. Is is really ok to just keep an eye on Seizures? I have an epileptic brother, maybe your seizures are not nearly on the same scale but I hope you are in no danger from them and that there is some way to get them under control.

Never worked for me but, it does for some so definitely worth a try.

I am starting the slimfast program tomorrow. My question is does it really work? I am also in a wheel chair..But i do get my legs walking 1 or 2 hours a day .

Keep us posted to see how you're doing! If it works I'll try it when I'm close to my due date or over due..does it taste gross? Or does it just end up giving you a ton of gas??

t know anything about that - all I know is that before Aricept, I was in a gray mist, and after five months of Aricept, everything seemed to make more sense. Before Aricept, it was as if I had low water pressure - I just couldn't get enough juice in my brain to put thoughts together. On Aricept, suddenly my brain could make connections. The only trippy thing I noticed was an almost hi-def moire behind my eyeballs when I went to sleep.

I did it and it was right about me having a girl amd my hair dresser did it and it was right for her having a boy...

If a person has not been diagnosed with alzheimers but is taking aricept, is it okay? will it hurt to be taking it?

Those are standard anti-depressents. However, I personally know about Aricept because I tried it for tardive dyskinesia and had a pretty poor response. My grandfather was prescribed Aricept for age related memory loss after a cardiovascular impairment. He couldn't tolerate it either. That doesn't mean at all its the wrong medication generally. Its just it has a fair amount of side effects for some people.

Take in a list of all medications with all OTC supplements as well and work with a pharmacist about how, if and when to take medications.
