t take offense at what I am going to say, but there is really no other way to say this - if you had to ask the question about the AKC allowing the registration of puppies resulting from a parent/puppy breeding, you do not have the knowledge of breeding necessary to even consider inbreeding. The results will be disastrous.

In a previous thread, concerned with the reliability of fibrosis tests like biopsy, Fibroscan, Fibrotest, FibroTC, etc., I mentioned a simple fibrosis index I recently discovered called the AST-to-Platelet Ratio Index, or APRI, that can be calculated from blood tests, and which has been shown to have a high level of reliability.

t know how much money the AKC has, but if HSUS could give about $20 Million (10% of their assets), the AKC could chip in and partner that money with funds already allocated for the USDA for enforcement of existing laws, we might make a bigger dent in the puppy mill industry. Its all about working together and stopping the "in-fighting" that accompanies any attempt at creating new laws.

I guess my advice is a lot different than the others. We had a male AKC dog that lived for 16 years. He was so amazing and was never sick or had allergies. We always talked about breeding him but never got around to doing it...something we have always wished we had done since he would have added a lot to the gene pool. We now have a female that is really the cream of the crop in temperament,beauty,intellegence,and health. We plan to breed her one time.

I toured around 22weeks and I turned in my registration papers at 32 weeks. Im 35 now.

Agree with AKC, it is normal.

The intermediate scores approximate the intermediate fibrosis stages. I have now calculated my APRI score for the seven blood tests done between 2006 and now, and the graph of the scores shows a steady progression from early to later stage fibrosis, which is apparently what has happened. That is, I'm a fast progressor (65 years old, geno 1b, etc.).

I am unable to see what the cost of registration is? I just returned from an interesting vacation and am totally exhausted (isn't that what vacations are for?), so maybe the registration fee is in bold letters on their website but I was unable to see it? Does anyone know what the registration fee is? Thanks for your help!

I had some really odd symptoms with Yasmin and begged my dr to take me off of it, since then I was on Apri, which is just generic desogen. Initally did much better on this one so I'm not sure how yaz/yasmin works but I can say my withdrawal bleed "period" got way longer on it- I used to only bleed for 4 days on Aleese, then gradually this increased and due to weight gain and water retention switched to Yasmin...
