angiogram

Avatar f tn Am I to understand it's not normal to be asleep, or put to sleep, for the angiography? I was put on the table and talked a few seconds with the nurses then I just went to sleep and I'm not sure if an IV was attached to knock me out or not, I know I just went to sleep waiting for the process to start.
1741156 tn?1311072815 I AM 29 AND I APPLIED FOR SSD OVER A YEAR AGO AND WAS DENIED. I HAVE SEVERAL HEALTH PROBLEMS FROM CHRONIC PAIN IN MY BACK AND NECK WHERE I HAD CERVICAL AND THORASIC FUSIONS,A CRUSHED PELVIS SO I WALK WITH A LIMP AND I CAN NOT STAY ON MY FEET FOR NO MORE THAN10-15 MINS.
Avatar f tn Well, I am not a doctor but, as I have had several angiographic procedures, give you my opinion anyway. This procedure is very quick, almost painless and gives the best information about the blockages of the heart. In many cases, the blockage is repaired with a stent during the same procedure. The whole procedure will take about one hour.
Avatar f tn My overall health is good (no diabetes etc) and retina is attached. Fluorescence angiography showed dye leakage which was attributed to avulsed vessel (s) and OCT showed an ERM. I decided to have a vitrectomy after getting the opinion of 2 retina specialists to release traction. That was 8 days ago. Endolaser photocoagulation was applied and SF6 gas was used. My concerns: 1. I’m in face down position.
Avatar m tn Troponin T and Troponin I are accurate and are only released by cardiac muscle. If elevated, then they usually suggest angiography because there is a very high possibility that MI has occurred. Troponin also remains elevated for up to 14 days. Should you go for Angiography? Given the results of the test, I think the question is really "is it worth the risk not to have angiography".
Avatar n tn Actually yesterday only we got reports for CT Angiography, in which it says that her right artery is about 95% blocked. and both her left arteries are 50% and 25% blocked respectively. Docs say that CT Angiography is just an idea of heart. However, to get a complete picture, they suggest to go for regular angiography with piercing the vein in wrist and putting the wire. Is it right that the CT Angiography isnt very accurate? Is there any better test than the regular angiography also?
Avatar n tn On the basis of this cardiologist advised to get CT coronary angiography. The result of the CT coronary angiography as given below: 1.Eccentric calcific in the RCA and distal LAD causing mild (20-30%) luminal narrowing. 2. No evidence of hypo perfusion or perfusion defects in the resting first pass myocardial enhancement. Now our cardiologists has advised to get catheter angiography to rule out further. Please advise me what should me my course of action.
Avatar n tn He was undergone a Treadmill test, a few weeks ago and the Doctor observed borderline positive Treadmill Test and suggested an Angiography. He undergone Angiography a couple of days ago and the report said that the Right Coronary Artery is 100% blocked. According to the Cardiologist, who performed Angiography, the blockage is old. But, my father has no pain (Angina), no fatigue and other common symptoms of Coronary Artery Disease. He’s perfectly alright.
Avatar n tn An angiography will give the doctor a better look into what is going on inside of your heart and arteries. It is a tool used to diagnose, and give the doctor a picture of what needs to happen for your treatment. I hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Another question doctor which is better for diagnose flourascen angiography or OCT angiography ?
Avatar m tn Thank you very much for the suggession for CAT Scan instead of angiography. I shall discuss with my Doctor too . It is his suggession only and could be done whenever I want to do. So will also consult other Doctors too. My sister is not a Heart Patient but as she felt some breathlessness, she went for Angiography. All her reports of Heart, Kidney, Lever are NORMAL.She is a Diabetic patient . But she is suffering from soars on her legs and pains when she walks.
429171 tn?1205560206 Hi doc, Thank your for your reply I really appreciate it. what is MR angiography?I had been going for physical therapy for more than 3 months now but it seemed it wasn't helping me.my neurosurgeon ordered for EMG/NCV for my left leg due to ankle jerk absent and it came on S1 abnormalities. But he told me when he ordered the 2nd mri he said the dics looks fine.which i'm still having the same pain and symptoms.
Avatar n tn Thank u for ur suggestion. My coronary angiography alongwith angioplasty and stenting to circumflex branch of left coronary was done on 23 july. What are the precautions now?
1926971 tn?1682474897 Fortis,Max, and others told me that the angiography has been half done and results were blown up for a 4 artery bypass and so I was suggested a renewed angiography as hardly any die had been injected. Secondly they performed the angiography and prepared me for a four artery bypass without knowing my blood group which I had to tell them that my blood group was B(negative) after which I was asked to to televise in media for donors and discharged till I found six with B(negative).

LCX: distal LCX shows 50% stenosis 6. OM 1: large, normal 7. RCA: non-dominant. proximal, mid and distal RCA shows Tandem plaque with 30%-70% multiple stenosis 8.
Avatar m tn thanks for your reply. The doctors have prescribed some tablets for the disease and they said that the disease can be cured by tablets itself. is that so.. is it is necessary to a surgery. could you please clarify this.....
Avatar f tn The gold standard is coronary angiography. I think you should undergo coronary angiography after the excision biopsy as you’ll also be assured if the coronary angiography comes out to be normal. I hope that helps. Please do keep me posted. Kind Regards.
Avatar f tn Hi I am a 50 year old female who has already had left cartid endarterectomy in 2010 and have just recently had a stent for left circumflex coronary artery approximately 90% in severity. Upon reading my results I came across some information I don't understand in the reading it said mild diffuse disease in LAD but high grade stenosis. I understand that it means blockage of some degree but does this mean I have future issues to worry about?
