A calcified concretion in the appendix considered diagnostic of appendicitis in the acute abdomen.
Exactly 4 weeks later I developed appendicitis and had it removed via laparoscopic surgery, the surgeon said it was "messy in there". I have had no other symptoms suggestive of HIV.
My concern is the appendicitis was due to lymphoid hyperplasia (swollen lymph tissue) caused from a viral infection (HIV) given it occurred so soon after exposure.
It seems a bit out there to consider them related however I do see it as a possibility, but was unable to find any studies to confirm.
He then took a screening CT in the lab and gave the report as Chronic appendicitis with 7mm thickness. Ficolith inside the appendicitis and advised to remove it whenever you feel free but not an emergency. The Gastroenterologist was not convinced and he asked me to take a Contrast enhanced CT. But the local doctor said it is not necessary and i don't have any acute episode and there is no such Chronic appendicitis.
Hi I have had a bunch of tests done and still do not have any answers. I started out by eating and then just throwing up right after eating. Now it seems my symptoms have changed and it is 2-3 hours after eating that I feel nauseated. I am basically living off of promethazine and compazine. I am miserable and irritable. I have lost about ten pounds so far. I tend to feel better in the mornings. I also get motion sickness very easy.

There is no need to be concerned about being on levelen continuously. I too was put on it for years. It is supposed to help with the pain & the prevention of endo. Plus with very painful periods you should not have to endure them every month being on levelen. I've seen a few gynos over my time & they are all in agreement.
I was hospitalized on Friday night with sever pain to my right side the doctors have stated its either the start of appendicitis or a torn ligament. Awaiting test results. I'm on complete bed rest until I get the results if it is appendicitis what will they do and is there any chance it could hurt my baby. Also got the results of my last blood test which indicated my liver function was down.

ok so a few months ago i went to the doctor because my side hurt but with in five minutes he called my mom and told her he was sending me to the ER because it might be appendicitis. at the ER they did CT scans, ultrasounds, and many other tests to find out what what was wrong but the only thing they said they could find was swollen lymph nodes in my pelvis and a cyst on my ovary.
I went to hospital with severe lower abdominal pain. After several tests, they noticed a cyst or tumour (radiologist's words exactly) on right ovary, and swollen appendix and elevated white cell count. Surgeon opted to not to an appendectomy as he felt that I have a cyst which leaked fluid causing irritation to appendix. I was not prescribed any antibiotics or painkillers. The pain has since eased off - now sporadic.
They did an Ultrasound which was highly susceptible for appendicitis it showed that it was not compressable, had minimal hypermiea, I was very tender and showed top normally enlarged. So since on Ultrasound it was highly showed appendicitis they took me right away to have a CT Scan with contrast which didn’t show any inflammation of appendix but showed two cysts on right ovary largest measures 2.1cm. So doctor in ER confirmed that my right quadrant stomach pain is due to the cysts.
Hello and welcome! There aren't any doctors on this forum so I'm sure you'll get several ideas to consider. First, your mom needs to get you to a doctor. This pain has gone on long enough and doesn't seem to want to resolve on its own.
Lower right abdominal pain can be caused by many different things. The organs in that area are intestines, appendix and female reproductive organs. You might have an ovarian cyst cooking on your right ovary.
I am being treated for the infection. At the same time as the appendicitis I went to the emergency room for kidney stones. I had lithotripsy done for that 1 week ago to remove the stone. Over the past year I have experienced the following symptoms... I have been to many different docs and the emergency room and don't know what to do. All of these symptoms may not be relevant, but I thought more information the better.
I had to go to the hospital, They said it could be kidney stones, appendicitis,or ovarian cyst. I have a history of abnormal paps and endometriosis, I am scared it is cancer. I dont have insurance if anyone can share some info I would realy appretiate it.
off and is a sharp pain. The first time it happened I thought I was getting appendicitis. I suspected a cyst but never got it checked out until I haven't been able to conceive as I am trying to get pregnant. I had a U/S and they told me I have a 2cm complex cyst. That seems to be a small one & I was told to wait 6 weeks for a repeat U/S. It has been about 4 weeks & tonight I am in such excruciating pain, it hurts even to walk. The pain wraps around into my back.
Could be appendicitis . go to the doc.
I have previously been told I have IBS, appendicitis and also Fibrolygima because i was having issues with feeling like i had pins and needles in my arms and legs, i also had my appendix taken out as they thought i had appendicitis which it turned out not to be.
I have had an ultrasound of my stomach and pelvis and the nurse could not find anything, i told the nurse all of my symptoms and even she advised she thought this is what i had.
What you describe could be a number of things, including pancreatitis, appendicitis, diverticulitis, ... or something else altogether.
This set of symptoms doesn't seem to be the type one can afford to ignore.

It hurts to walk and I must sit down with great care, I have performed some of the tests for appendicitis such as lying supine with my right leg bent and pushing over to the left...this results in much pain. Having been an EMT for many years I understand this could be appendicitis, however, I am confused about the pain free lapses. I live in the middle of no where with poor hospitals about 2 and a half hours away.
As far as I know, the most apparent symptom of appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix) is a dull pain in the stomach on the right side, that moves to severe lower right abdominal pain.
