I feel as if I have another bowel obstruction and have been fairly sick lately. My gastro will only order a KUB Xray. This Xray has never shown my obstructions in the past.
For the past week, I haven't passed any stool. I've gotten sick every time I eat as well, but not to the point of vomiting. Yesterday my skin was very flush and I didn't feel well at all. The gastro ordered another KUB stat, which the radiologist said read as normal.
A urinalysis and ultrasound of the KUB may be able to help with the diagnosis. It would be best to see your doctor for furtehr evaluation and management.

What you describe could be a number of things, including pancreatitis, appendicitis, diverticulitis, ... or something else altogether.
This set of symptoms doesn't seem to be the type one can afford to ignore.

It hurts to walk and I must sit down with great care, I have performed some of the tests for appendicitis such as lying supine with my right leg bent and pushing over to the left...this results in much pain. Having been an EMT for many years I understand this could be appendicitis, however, I am confused about the pain free lapses. I live in the middle of no where with poor hospitals about 2 and a half hours away.
As far as I know, the most apparent symptom of appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix) is a dull pain in the stomach on the right side, that moves to severe lower right abdominal pain.

When I had appendecitis I woke up in pain with a lot of abdominal pressure and was admitted for surgery that day. It felt like I was really constipated or something (sorry TMI), and was nauseous. It sounds like the pain you are having is more likely related to the pcos. I have had ovarian cysts in the past and it felt a lot like what you are describing. I'm not an expert, just my personal experience.
An appendix is usually on the right side of your stomach and you will usually run a high fever with appendicitis. However, if you are still concerned, you can call your doctor and ask to speak to a nurse.
now i am developing the same pain again after about 20 hours, so i want to ask can it be appendicitis even if ultrasound doesnt show it? one of my friend got operated last month, she was having the same pain but ultrasound didnt show anything even then she got operated n now is fine!
Now the next day my lower right stomach is pretty tender, nowhere else, just lower right side. Should I be worried about appendicitis? Could it be tender from extreme gas and bloating?

A KUB is a diagnostic imaging technique that gives a picture of the kidneys, ureters and bladder and is one of the ways a conclusion can be reached about impacted bowels. My guess is that your son displays chronic constipation and impacted bowels and needs to be under a medically guided regimen.
No uti no kidney stones prostate exam from two docs said OK used fingers had CT scan kub was OK ultrasound on testicals was OK and kidneys . I'm starting to worry .
He should be examined by his pediatrician (including perhaps an x-ray procedure called KUB - kidney/ureter/bladder). The possibility is that he has some constipation or impacted bowels and this is what prompts the soiling. The only way to know is by having him evaluated.
Since you have urine as acidic in reports, calcium oxalate stone should be ruled out. Get an X-Ray(KUB- kidney urinary bladder) and an ultrasound abdomen done to confirm the diagnosis.
3) Third possibility is of interstitial cystitis. Although it is more commonly found in women but men may also be effected. Pain ranging from mild to intense in the bladder and surrounding pelvic region and perineum and anal region may occur in males. It may also cause discomfort in the scrotum or penis in men.
I've been std tested and had a kub ultrasound and still no answer . I've got 4 tiny bumps next to my peehole (meatus) both my doctor and dermatologist said it was nothing but it's burning all the time just in that one spot and It's doing my head in . Has anyone had the same problem ?

My Son 9years old after KUB test, it is found that Bilateral minimal hydronephrosis is seen. both lower ureters are mildly dilated,his right kidney measures:8.5 X 4.9 cm & left kidney :8.8 x 4.5cm.
He then took a screening CT in the lab and gave the report as Chronic appendicitis with 7mm thickness. Ficolith inside the appendicitis and advised to remove it whenever you feel free but not an emergency. The Gastroenterologist was not convinced and he asked me to take a Contrast enhanced CT. But the local doctor said it is not necessary and i don't have any acute episode and there is no such Chronic appendicitis.
Hi, this could be ureter stone, right ovarian cyst or appendicitis. If pulse is more than 80 and blood shows high TLC counts, is suggestive of appendicitis. In case of ureter stone, urine usually shows infection and ultrasound is diagnostic, pain is usually radiating in nature.
Well colon pain is colicky or dull in nature, do you have recent history of diarrhea?
I have been stressing big time over bills/ money problems... lost my brother.. I had a KUB xray a few months ago, a endoscopy/colonscopy late 2014. What can this be... I am overweight...
After couple of months taking medication the repeated result shows 5-6 HPF. I have no symptoms of fever or flank pain. The KUB X-Ray and Ultrasound are all normal and also the blood test including SERUM PSA.
The only problem which I have is mild burning sensation and pain while passing urine apart from that there is no problem.
Can you please advise on the same as I am really worried.
I have recently been experiencing right side pain and mentioned it to my GP. He sent me for a CT which confirmed mild appendicitis. Don't have typical appendicitis symptoms other than pain and some nausea. My doc says to get it taken out. I went for a consult with a general surgeon and he said he isn't 100% that's my appendix since I don't have all the acute symptoms. He said there is no such thing as chronic appendicitis and my doc says "oh yes there is". UGH...
hi im really worried i have appendicitis, i had diarrhea for 3 days, and now after all of that my lower right and lower left sides have a dull, tenderness to them, its not severe pain but im worried it might become severe. the more i think and read abut it the more it hurts. above my belly button hurt when touched as well, i do not have a fever, and i have not been vomiting, but once in a while my stomach feels like there s a dull kick in those three areas.

I have had my gallbladder removed lapo 2 weeks ago… I’m NOW expercing this sharp pain on my right lower abdominal area by my belly button, what are my chances of having appendicitis after gall bladder surgery? I want to avoid the ER, doctors and GI’s I went through so many test and so many trips to the ER during the period of 3 months to finally find out my gall bladder was only functioning at 1.
