appendicitis

Avatar m tn well you could have a simple internal inguinal hernia, or an intruding hernia(especially if you lift heavy weights, its funny im about your same size, and about the same age...im going to med school, but i would say its a hernia or some sort of muscle tear or strain...i had the same thing when i was doing a lot of heavy lifting, and i had to stop lifting for about three weeks to get it to stop hurting, as for the chest pains, i was getting those to...
Avatar n tn This is just my personal opinion. Your son cannot cause an appendicitis. He could probably bruise himself or scrape up his skin or something, but he ain't gonna cause that appendix to rupture. Now, I'm not a doctor, but to me that's just common sense.
Avatar n tn Appendicitis is commoner in the early teens to thirties. It can however occur in any age group. The pain typically starts up in the abdomen, or around the belly button called umbilicus, then it moves to the lower right abdomen. In some individuals, the pain starts straight in the lower right abdomen. It gradually builds up in severity, initially niggling.
Avatar n tn Another possibility is diverticulitis, which would be more common in somebody in late 40s or older. I don't see your age on your profile. Diverticulitis is often linked to constipation.
4770653 tn?1358955382 Shes been having abdominal pain on the lower right quadrant for the past 3 weeks with vomiting only in the mornings and as missed school because of this. Her peditrician said its not an appendicitis since the pain is gone now and all her blood tests have come back negative. I want to find out why shes vomiting and why shes having the lowe right pain. Can an appendicolith casue vomiting and the pain in the lower right quadrant and what can be done. Please help.
Avatar f tn Appendicitis does not spread in families or acquired congenitally. But if your family has got a problem of allergies, like esinophilia,it may run in families and finally lead to esinophilic appendicitis, which is a rare condition. Considering you have normal history from background,I do not think that yu are prone for acquiring appendicitis.Talk to your Doctor if you have any strange symptoms of abdomen or any other and get evaluated.
Avatar n tn You have mentioned that you were diagnosed with appendicitis. Was an appendectomy done? In this case I would suggest that an abdominal ultrasound may be done to ascertain the cause of the pain. A baseline urinalyis and urine culture may also be helpful to determine if infections or urinary tract stones may be present. I do not think the fungal infection has been causing the pain. Unless the area is swollen and severely infected the tenderness may be noted when the skin is palpated.
Avatar f tn Depends where you live. Some schools has specific restrictions and depends if your doing public or private school. For my city you don't have to do pre school but by kindergarten you have to be age 5 before starting in September. So pre school would be age 4. But it's public school so doesn't really matter when you register as long as it's before the deadlines they have no choice but to accept you.

Avatar f tn I was just wondering what type of surgery they will need to do, how long the recovery time and hospital stay would be because Im only a junior in high school and I want to know how long I would need to be out of school.
10973934 tn?1414701423 My friend had two girls by the age of 18, dropped out of high school didn't have a job right off the bat but now at the age of 20 she has her own place a great job (no diploma or GED). Yes education is nice to have but many people are wasting money on it and not even finding good jobs. My boyfriend n I are expecting in feb and he dropped out 3 years ago (senior year) and never got his GED and has a great paying job.
982463 tn?1248639793 i was that way all through high school. it's not good to give in to it...though i know it's much easier. it turns out i missed out on a lot in school by letting this control me. but my point is i'm 24 now and things change a LOT from your age to my age. now i'm not nearly as uncomfortable in social situations as i used to be. i'm also not nearly as uncomfortable as i used to be with talking to other people i don't know. anyway...
5670884 tn?1374749288 My sister had appendicitis when she was pregnant. If the pain doesn't go away after a while, look up the symptoms of appendicitis and see if that sounds possible, and if so go to the doc.
Avatar f tn We were classmates in high school, but didnt travel in the same social circles, so he never spoke 2 words to me in 4 years. He was a star soccer player, from an upper middle class family. He was popular and fun and had a large circle of friends. I'd say he was an A-group player. As for me, I was a quiet, so-so student from a lower middle class family, the only girl in a family full of brothers, so I was sheltered and kept my circle of friends very small throughout school.
Avatar n tn It takes time and patience. Just please finish school and go to college it will help in the long run.
Avatar m tn On to the other symptoms, I have been having weird twitches all over my body, but most frequently right above my left ear, in my left side, in my legs, in my right neck, in my left eye and a couple of other places. I drink caffeine a bit (I am in law school and I need it) but it usually is only a cup of coffee and maybe a Vault a day. I don't drink too heavily, though when I do, these twitches seem to get worse.
Avatar f tn my five year old son experienced a nose bleed in school yesterday during an outing for lunch. The teacher described it as a significant amount of blood but I can not give an exact estimate on volume. she stated that it soaked a formal dining room napkin. he stated that his throat started to hurt him and then the nose bleed started. Today he is complaining of abdominal pain and refuses to eat. He also has a temp 101.6.
4734947 tn?1358531198 I had random pain when I was at school in my lower quadrants that would gradually get worse and go away then come back later. This went on for a couple of weeks so I took the magnesium citrate which was so awful I felt so nauseous. A couple of days after I still had pain tho it was more in the upper right quadrant. So I went to the ER. the first thing they had me do was an X-ray. They saw what they thought was a blockage in the upper right quadrant.
Avatar m tn m a 19 year male college student, and I have had this problem for several years. At random moments, usually pretty rarely, I will get a sudden, sharp pain in the lower right area of my abdomen. It will cause me to panic for the brief second that it lasts (i'll clutch it etc..), because it feels really severe. It always goes away though, and since it's been a problem I've had for a long time, I don't really think it's a big issue.
Avatar n tn love you? Will he stick by you from now until the baby is 21? Are you done with school and have a great job that gives you insurance, maternity leave and retirement benefits? Is he ready to go to work to support his family and can earn a family wage? Does he want to marry you? Does he talk about providing a good life for you and the baby? Love is wonderful. But being only 17 does matter.
Avatar m tn I know you will say I need checked out and I agree in my brain, but the other part of my brain wants to know if these long pain free periods over the course of 3 or so months without a perforation are typical of appendicitis issues? So, in summary, I am curious about the long course of this and the pain free periods. Thank you.
Avatar n tn When I had appendecitis I woke up in pain with a lot of abdominal pressure and was admitted for surgery that day. It felt like I was really constipated or something (sorry TMI), and was nauseous. It sounds like the pain you are having is more likely related to the pcos. I have had ovarian cysts in the past and it felt a lot like what you are describing. I'm not an expert, just my personal experience.
Avatar n tn As far as I know, the most apparent symptom of appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix) is a dull pain in the stomach on the right side, that moves to severe lower right abdominal pain. http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/digestive-diseases-appendicitis The above website explains different symptoms that could accompany appendicitis.
