Common Questions and Answers about Appendicitis in korea

appendicitis

Avatar n tn You have mentioned that you were diagnosed with appendicitis. Was an appendectomy done? In this case I would suggest that an abdominal ultrasound may be done to ascertain the cause of the pain. A baseline urinalyis and urine culture may also be helpful to determine if infections or urinary tract stones may be present. I do not think the fungal infection has been causing the pain. Unless the area is swollen and severely infected the tenderness may be noted when the skin is palpated.
1310633 tn?1430224091 Seoul, South Korea (CNN) -- North Korea sent a fax to South Korea on Thursday, threatening to "strike mercilessly without notice" after protests against the secretive regime this week in Seoul. The message warned that North Korea would strike if "the provocation against our highest dignity is to be repeated in the downtown of Seoul.
Avatar f tn Gen. Walter Sharp, commander of 28,500 American troops stationed in South Korea, said North Korea should "cease all acts of provocation." The growing tension comes a week after Seoul accused North Korea of shooting a torpedo that sank a navy frigate in March. In furious reaction, the government of North Korean leader Kim Jong Il -- while indignantly denying that it sank the ship -- said it would cut all relations with South Korea.
5670884 tn?1374749288 My sister had appendicitis when she was pregnant. If the pain doesn't go away after a while, look up the symptoms of appendicitis and see if that sounds possible, and if so go to the doc.
Avatar m tn m a 19 year male college student, and I have had this problem for several years. At random moments, usually pretty rarely, I will get a sudden, sharp pain in the lower right area of my abdomen. It will cause me to panic for the brief second that it lasts (i'll clutch it etc..), because it feels really severe. It always goes away though, and since it's been a problem I've had for a long time, I don't really think it's a big issue.
Avatar m tn I know you will say I need checked out and I agree in my brain, but the other part of my brain wants to know if these long pain free periods over the course of 3 or so months without a perforation are typical of appendicitis issues? So, in summary, I am curious about the long course of this and the pain free periods. Thank you.
Avatar n tn When I had appendecitis I woke up in pain with a lot of abdominal pressure and was admitted for surgery that day. It felt like I was really constipated or something (sorry TMI), and was nauseous. It sounds like the pain you are having is more likely related to the pcos. I have had ovarian cysts in the past and it felt a lot like what you are describing. I'm not an expert, just my personal experience.
Avatar n tn As far as I know, the most apparent symptom of appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix) is a dull pain in the stomach on the right side, that moves to severe lower right abdominal pain. http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/digestive-diseases-appendicitis The above website explains different symptoms that could accompany appendicitis.
Avatar n tn s, it might be worth checking out. Normally, the muscles in the wall of the stomach contract in a coordinated way to move food through the stomach into the small intestine. The autonomic nervous system controls this muscular action. Diabetes can damage the autonomic nerves. This is called diabetic autonomic neuropathy. As a result, the stomach loses it's coordinated muscular activity and doesn't empty the stomach properly.
Avatar f tn I'm not really sure if I'm in the right place her but I'm becoming concerned. Last night I started having a dull pain on the right side of my abdomen, across from my belly button, it went away today but came back around lunch time. It went away again and now at 2am it has come back. I pressed on my stomach a bit and it send a shooting pain through my belly button area. Its not SUPER painful, just more of a discomfort.

Avatar f tn I understood that the USS Washington was going there for planned exercises as well. I am just not too for sure what angle China is going to use. They are interested in us financially, and I think they've bent over for N. Korea too. I am not a war monger. In fact, I dont like war at all. But if N. Korea tries anything threatening to the USS Washington, I say we let them have it with both barrells.
Avatar f tn Im 10 weeks pregnant and got my appendix removed yesterday (saturday) they told me about the risks with the anastesia and baby, but they also told me that if i left it in and it ruptured id lose baby for sure. Anyone else have their appendix removed and had a perfectly healthy baby?
1485826 tn?1309926347 To any HIV expert out there, Dear Sir or Madam, I am a 34 year old Caucasian male U.S. citizen who is currently working abroad. Last Spring, I applied for a teaching job in South Korea, and got the position. Right before leaving, however, on October 6, 2010, I did something impulsive... and probably somewhat stupid. I had sex with a call girl.
Avatar f tn My obe also insisted they do surgery, saying in pregnant patients if in doubt they should operate. Finally they did surgery and it was appendicitis! My obe apologised to me that I had to suffer so long. Fortunately my baby was ok. Now, your case may not be appendicitis, but the pain needs to be properly considered and closely monitored. Are you having fever? If so this is an alarm signal! Do follow up with your doctor and be persistent.
9497408 tn?1404140019 On the surface, your symptoms sound like appendicitis. Your elevated temp, the referred pain, all points to that. Sometimes ultrasounds do not reveal the true issue - they are not detailed enough. Personally, I experienced appendicitis much like you are experiencing. The "twist" was I had a cyst in my intestine as well. It took surgery to locate the problem(s). No test - and I had them all - revealed the truth. Go to the hospital. They are probably thinking you are drug-seeking.
