For about 1 year now a little over I have had pain in my lower right abdomen. It would come and go but now it is more persistent and has not gone away for the last month or so. When i bend over it agravates it or walk ect.. there is NO bump there and my family doctor has told me that if it were something 'bad' it would have shown up by now in other organs IE if it were cancer.

This time it lasted almost two hours but was much worse than last night. I almost went to the emergency room but now it has subsided. I still feel slightly nauseous and a bit tired. Anyone have any insight?? Would be greatly appreciated.

Im 10 weeks pregnant and got my appendix removed yesterday (saturday) they told me about the risks with the anastesia and baby, but they also told me that if i left it in and it ruptured id lose baby for sure. Anyone else have their appendix removed and had a perfectly healthy baby?

I think I would take him to the ER if you are not able to see his physician. Someone should see him today.

I have all if the appendicitis symptoms ( bloating, diarrhea, constipation, severe abdominal pain followed by vomiting) but aren't these all pregnancy things to? I'm 41/2 weeks.

Please call your doc and request to be seen and perhaps to have some liver and pancreatic enzyme level tests done. The location of the pain can be a bit 'tricky' but in some who have had gallbladder issues that resulted in irritation to the common bile duct, postcholecystectomy problems could be related to that irritation.

I want to know whether a mass could have been detected in the previous CT screening and if so why the report was like chronic appendicitis? What will be symptoms for ileocecal pathology.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community! It might be an appendicitis. If it was just a stomach virus causing the pain he probably would have had diarrhea or vomiting. Even though the appendix is located more to the right, the pain can something be in a different place. I would recommend taking him to the ER asap and asking for a CT scan with contrast of his abdomen. Good luck.

My motto is: never ignore lower right abdominal pain. Get to the doctor or ER. I'm thinking ER would be best as a doctor can't really do much in his office; you'd end up in emergency surgery anyway if it was determined to be appendicitis. The tests that would determine that would put you in the ER anyway for speed. It could be a cyst, too. If you have a temperature, I'd be rushing.

I had an emergency appendectomy that morning. One thing to keep in mind...the pain was never severe, like people often describe it as. It did become more constant that night, but never unbearable. Appendicitis is a life threatening condition if your appendix bursts, so you may wish to see your doctor just to be safe.

Hey just had Acute appendicitis and had to have emergency surgery to remove appendix. Now I had a lump under my skin just above my elbow that is below my skin. it seems as though it is attached to my vein or just by the muscle. It does not hurt but I am worried sick it could be something serious.

And is it in the lower part of your abdomen down toward the groin, or higher up toward your rib cage. I think appendicitis sometimes hurts in the right lower part of your abdomen, while gallbladder pain hurts on the right also, but it is usually a sharp grabbing sensation. Try not to panic. you will get to the bottom of it. Do you have an internal medicine doctor?

Is there any way I have chronic appendicitis that is coming and going? The pain is usually in the area of the appendix. Also as a side note, I had right side testicular pain that started up around the same time the abdominal pain started years back. Not sure if this is related as the pains seem to happen usually at different intervals.

I'm am a 29yr old Female. at 1am this morning I awoke to stabbig pains in my abdoman. I thought it might help to relieve myself, but that didnt help. You have mentioned that you were diagnosed with appendicitis. Was an appendectomy done? In this case I would suggest that an abdominal ultrasound may be done to ascertain the cause of the pain. A baseline urinalyis and urine culture may also be helpful to determine if infections or urinary tract stones may be present. I do not think the fungal infection has been causing the pain. Unless the area is swollen and severely infected the tenderness may be noted when the skin is palpated.

I wouldnt wait too long with a pain like this , how is he doing now, always in my opinion if in doubt get a child checked out.

I recently was pregnant and started getting odd cramping sensations that I had never felt before, it ended up being appendicitis, I miscarried I think due to appendicitis, and just had an emergency appendectomy. I'd say follow your gut (no pun intended) For me the "sensations" did not feel "right". When in doubt go to the ER. If I would have, it's possible I could have saved my pregnancy-also possible that it was doomed from the beginning.
