I'm really scared that maybe I might have an infection, because I have diarrhea and all that, sometimes I begin to sweat for no reason, do feel a little hot but my aunt says that I don't have a fever. I'm really scared that maybe I have an infection or something :( and I have pains in my stomach and back. Sometimes the pain is over my right groin.. I really hope it's not appendicitis but I doubt it considering the fact that it's been like this for more than 2 weeks.
Onset is quick--- surgery on Wednesday, ill by Friday, in ER by Saturday, diagnosed with sepsis and operated on, dead Monday. There were 4 patients admitted to the hospital the Saturday my mon was with sepsis. Three lived, one died. So, if you don't have issues of pain and possibly fever, I would not worry about a bowel perf.
Hi all. I have been going thru so much physically and emotional past few months,more than normal. The last 2-3 months I have had more pain and totally lack of interest in everything. I did have sepsis and was in hospital 7days. I've been out 3 weeks still no motivation. I'm on effexor as another pain med. Is all pain and stuff causing this or am I depressed and need to talk to Dr. Is being depressed causing more pain or pain causing depression? I'm so frustrated at all this.
2) can syphilis cause such a serious infection and sepsis-like symptoms 8 months after contraction? Bearing in-mind my immune system was very low because of the trauma of the RTA.
3) my symptoms are permanent nasal discomfort (for 7 months now) and a temoporary blister/red lump on the penis shaft full of pus which lasted only 2 weeks. How often does syphilis affect the nasal area and how often is the chancre full of pus?
It seems in England most are happy to leave them, but Im not convinced this is a good thing. She got Urinary Sepsis about two wks ago and ended up in hospital, and her speech at the same time because very weak and a bit slurred, and her swallowing problems which she had from when she was first diagnosed got worse and she is now having to breathe in after speaking, which she never had before. Im not sure who else I could take her to for a second opinion to be honest.
I just had a D&C for post menapausal bleeding. I started getting a fever and chills the next day. I called the surgeon and she had some blood work done and blood cultures. She put me on clindamiacin . I had sepsis in February after surgery for appendicitis now in terrified that it's happening again. When I had sepsis I only had a fever no shaking chills or anything else and it took 3 separate days of blood cultures to find it.

I had a baby girl ,my first, on Nov 21. I was in labour for over 24 hours and was eventually sectioned. The baby couldnt cry, they had to suck out liquor from her mouth. The doctor said my placenta had multiple infarcts, the liquor was brownish and the meconium was stale. they too the baby to the ICU but i eventually lost her on Nov 23. The Doctor said the cause of death was overwhelming sepsis and my water must have broken for sometime and the baby has been exposed.
I'm worried I have Sepsis, I currently have a bad infected ingrown toe nail, and I feel generally unwell since yesterday afternoon, so it's now been over 12 hours since I've felt like this.

"Sepsis" or infection of the newborn infant is caused by bacterial invasion of the amniotic fluid prior to birth. This can occur because the membranes that surround the baby are not totally protective, or can occur after the membranes are ruptured. Also, the longer the membranes are ruptured before the baby is born, the higher the risk of infection.
The infection is most often caused by normal bacterial that are present in the mother's birth canal.
Exactly 4 weeks later I developed appendicitis and had it removed via laparoscopic surgery, the surgeon said it was "messy in there". I have had no other symptoms suggestive of HIV.
My concern is the appendicitis was due to lymphoid hyperplasia (swollen lymph tissue) caused from a viral infection (HIV) given it occurred so soon after exposure.
It seems a bit out there to consider them related however I do see it as a possibility, but was unable to find any studies to confirm.
4. Appendicitis goes with nausea, vomiting and raised leukocytes in the blood. Appendicitis is painfull at any time you press on area. Bouncing sign is present: lye down on the back and press deeply sopmewhere on your lower LEFT abdomen, then release the pressure quickly. In peritonitis or appendicitis you should feel a sharp pain on the LRQ area. Peritonitis would also show marked inflammation in the blood.
I have other chronic conditions such as back and neck pain, basal cell carcinoma, and mental illness. My question stems from when I had sepsis 2 years ago, I almost died from the infection. Is it possible for sepsis to cause lung damage? I also have just recently had bronchitus again and that took about five weeks to get over. I can barely go around the block without being out of breath. I am on combivent and flovent, 4 times and 2 times per day respectively. I also have an emergency inhaler.

About a month or two ago, I believe I had strained some muscles while working out. The pain didn't happen right away maybe one or two weeks afterwards. At first it stemmed from my neck, shoulders, and upper back. Soon after I started to feel pain in my chest, both sides right by my armpits, lower back, and abdomen area especially on my right side. The pain is usually sharp. When I do sit for a long period of time, both my right and left sides hurt but more on my right.
Thus, it is prudent to see a physician as soon as possible and follow his/her recommendations for treatment. In sepsis, death often results not from the bacteria themselves, but from the toxic products (from killed bacteria) discharged into the bloodstream when such infections are treated with antibiotics.
