Is there any way I have chronic appendicitis that is coming and going? The pain is usually in the area of the appendix.
Also as a side note, I had right side testicular pain that started up around the same time the abdominal pain started years back. Not sure if this is related as the pains seem to happen usually at different intervals.
I am having sharp shooting pains in my right side abdomen if I sit or lay still I am fine but when I get up and try to step on the ground especially with my right let it feels like someone is stabbing a knife in me and the pain is excruciating it has been going on for a few days and I cant tolerate it much more cause I am tired of having to stay in bed cause walking is too painful anyone have any idea of what could be causing this I almost feel like I am going to pass out cause of the pain I
ulcer/perforation, costochondritis possibly, and maybe an inflammation of stomach/duodenom/upper GI as others mentioned.
You'd need to note when this pain usually starts, if it's after you eat a certain food, or if you even get headaches or quite possibly describe the pain on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst. I hope you find out what's up, gooduck!
If it is your right LQ then i would suggest heading to your nearest Emergency dept., as appendicitis can be dangerous. Before applying heat packs and/or massage it would be wise to rule out any internal problems such as perforation and/or bleeding, as applying either will exacerbate said conditions. As you have described several symptoms that could be related to this. have you noticed a decrease in bowel movements? Blood in your stool? nausea? Lethargy? Systemic weakness?
Your mother is at risk of - just from having cancer growing into her duodenum- bowel perforation, obstruction, and bleeding into the bowel.
I did a search on Iressa in ovarian cancer. The data is not comelling.
com/articles/colonoscopy-guide-endoscopic-screening-and-therapy - this says perforation from over-inflation is rare with modern equipment, which fits with what I'm finding. Most articles about over-inflation and perforation are from the 1980s.
I can't find any other injury as a result of over-inflation than perforation.
You don't say what happened, so if it wasn't perforation, maybe your injury was caused by something other than over-inflation?
Do you that you have fibroid polyps in the colon? Or other fibroid tumers elsewhere? Usually if it is polyps, the dr will remove them for testing while he is in the colon.
My mom and seven aunts were nurses and said that surgery can cause a puncture or perforation, but a rupture technically occurs prior to surgery. Is that correct? My daughter-in-law had an LA last night for a ruptured appendix. Thanks!
I'm a 29 year old female and three months ago I ended up in the ER with a micro-perforation of the bowel. Previous to this I weighed 144 pounds (I'm 5'7) and my diet was just whatever I wanted, mostly crap food. But it wasn't an issue because I have a fast metabolism and I didn't care much about what I put in my body. I am also a smoker.
Luckily, I didn't have to have surgery for my perforation - it healed up over three days of intravenous antibiotics in the hospital.
Exactly 4 weeks later I developed appendicitis and had it removed via laparoscopic surgery, the surgeon said it was "messy in there". I have had no other symptoms suggestive of HIV.
My concern is the appendicitis was due to lymphoid hyperplasia (swollen lymph tissue) caused from a viral infection (HIV) given it occurred so soon after exposure.
It seems a bit out there to consider them related however I do see it as a possibility, but was unable to find any studies to confirm.

I've had H. Pylori and the treatment is not something that should cause extreme pain or surgery, however, if there's something else going on, it's best to find it now than to wait until it becomes an emergency. Please see your doctor.
I have been doing my studies on the internet and came across perforation of the uterus. Does any of my symptoms have any link to this. Would a scan detect perforation of the Uterus. I am schedule for a surgery in about 6weeks time and I am really scared.
My fiance recently had a colonoscopy in which the doctor found a polyp. The polyp was removed and everything seemed fine until early the next morning, he had severe abdominal pain. The doctor directed him to the emergency room to have a ct scan. They found that during the polypectomy, the doctor removed too much and made a "micro-perforation" in his colon. He was admitted to the hospital for four days under close watch with lots of fluids, antibiotics and pain meds.
I have seen a couple questions regarding this issue, I have been a recreational cocaine user for 4 years , usually couple lines every other weekend, No i am not addicted, yes i can and will stop, There are no guidelines for this as far as how much and how long you need to use for a hole to form, But i know i will refuse to get help as far as a doctor is consernered.. Does a small hole heal? and what am i looking at if i do not seek help?

Bouncing sign is present: lye down on the back and press deeply sopmewhere on your lower LEFT abdomen, then release the pressure quickly. In peritonitis or appendicitis you should feel a sharp pain on the LRQ area. Peritonitis would also show marked inflammation in the blood.

About a month or two ago, I believe I had strained some muscles while working out. The pain didn't happen right away maybe one or two weeks afterwards. At first it stemmed from my neck, shoulders, and upper back. Soon after I started to feel pain in my chest, both sides right by my armpits, lower back, and abdomen area especially on my right side. The pain is usually sharp. When I do sit for a long period of time, both my right and left sides hurt but more on my right.
The ENT said that there is a 90% chance the perforation will heal on its own- I see him in 3 more weeks to determine if the perforation is healing.
Since I have seen the ENT my tinnitus has been all over the place. I began noticing a high pitched sound in my right ear (GOOD EAR). After a week after the tinnitus started in the right ear, the tinnitus began to reduce in my left ear (YAY). However... about 7-10 days after this change, the tinnitus has returned in my left ear.

I have contact nausea and slight unsteadiness. I have had a CT of my head and a ECG of my heart to rule out anything extremely serious.
At times the nausea gets soo bad i feel like i may faint.
Also the pains in my abdomen seem to get worse when i eat or after a night out drinking. Then the pain gets very sharp and spreads to the left side and lower left of the back, i get hit by a sudden feeling of weakness and have to lie down.
now i am developing the same pain again after about 20 hours, so i want to ask can it be appendicitis even if ultrasound doesnt show it? one of my friend got operated last month, she was having the same pain but ultrasound didnt show anything even then she got operated n now is fine!
30 am with bad stomach pain (top middle), bloating, and gas. I went the the ER about 6 hours later and received indigestion meds. I felt much better outside of mild abdominal discomfort from gas still. Now the next day my lower right stomach is pretty tender, nowhere else, just lower right side. Should I be worried about appendicitis? Could it be tender from extreme gas and bloating?
Thoughts?
Last night I started having a dull pain on the right side of my abdomen, across from my belly button, it went away today but came back around lunch time. It went away again and now at 2am it has come back. I pressed on my stomach a bit and it send a shooting pain through my belly button area. Its not SUPER painful, just more of a discomfort. I've also started urinating WAY more in the past hour and I'm not sure if its related but my knees began aching REALLY bad out of nowhere.
Additionally, I get severe pain from loud voices and music. Its really interrupting my life. They tried tubes and I am waiting for the hole from the tube to close as well as a spontaneous perforation. Seeing another specialist in NY feb 8 hoping for answers.
Why the pain from the loud noises? No expert I've seen can answer this.
