I am 38 female, i was diagnosised with a malrotation in 94 was adult and had 4 kids, complications with each pregnancy and lost my lost baby out of the blue towards the end of my pregnancy. Then after that I was diagnosised with a malrotation. Since life has been crazy for me. I have had so many surgeries, and the past 2 years i have had to see a motility doctor cause of my whole gi tract. What symptoms do you have? How are things with you? Do you have issues? Love to hear from you.
If I understand all of the research I have been reading, I do not have malrotation but nonrotation. loops on right side along with the duodenojejungal junction located to the right of the midline.
Does that change anything as far as whether a specialist should be looking at this more or not? I am symptomatic with the same symptoms that show up for an adult that has malrotation.

He was told it was adhesions and to live with the pain if he could. He insisted something was wrong, and that they go in and look around. He was right, and we lost him at 31. This is not to scare you but to make you aware that if his doctors don't know what is causing his problem, they won't go looking for answers, you need to get your husband to another GI specialist.
My GI did the endoscopy and said I did not have a malrotation. Which test is better? And if I do have a malrotation, would that explain my symtoms?
They would include- Rotational Chair Testing, Videonystagmography Testing, Computerized Dynamic Posturography Testing, Audiometric (Hearing) Testing, Evoked Potential Testing. I deal with dizziness and off balance (in addition to a ton of other symptoms) and was found to have 25% vestibular damage thru the testing I mentioned. I also had abnormalities mentioned in the mastoids when I had a MRI. Damage was supposedly caused by a "virus"...
He has a balge on the left side of his stomach when he cries it gets bigger. Hes been having a hard time pooping and when he does he cries like crazy. They is a history in my family of hernias and my doctor said it can be genetic. Im just wondering if it can be a hernia.
As there is associated dull right abdominal pain,hence urinary infections,kidney infections ,tumors,appendicitis,worm or flukes infestation,
intussusception or malrotation,endocrine causes and hematologic causes like sickle cell anemia and Henoch Schonlein purpura can be suspected.
In my opinion, your son should be seen by a pediatrician right away.Various investigations are required to confirm a diagnosis.
I am wondering if basic training would exacerbate my abdominal condition gastrosgesis, malrotation, adhesions...or exacerbate my ileocecal valve and sac. Went into the navy basic training with a bowel obstruction. A nightmare of pain. Surgeon remarked my ileocecal complex looked mutilated?
Exactly 4 weeks later I developed appendicitis and had it removed via laparoscopic surgery, the surgeon said it was "messy in there". I have had no other symptoms suggestive of HIV.
My concern is the appendicitis was due to lymphoid hyperplasia (swollen lymph tissue) caused from a viral infection (HIV) given it occurred so soon after exposure.
It seems a bit out there to consider them related however I do see it as a possibility, but was unable to find any studies to confirm.
4. Appendicitis goes with nausea, vomiting and raised leukocytes in the blood. Appendicitis is painfull at any time you press on area. Bouncing sign is present: lye down on the back and press deeply sopmewhere on your lower LEFT abdomen, then release the pressure quickly. In peritonitis or appendicitis you should feel a sharp pain on the LRQ area. Peritonitis would also show marked inflammation in the blood.

About a month or two ago, I believe I had strained some muscles while working out. The pain didn't happen right away maybe one or two weeks afterwards. At first it stemmed from my neck, shoulders, and upper back. Soon after I started to feel pain in my chest, both sides right by my armpits, lower back, and abdomen area especially on my right side. The pain is usually sharp. When I do sit for a long period of time, both my right and left sides hurt but more on my right.
An appendix is usually on the right side of your stomach and you will usually run a high fever with appendicitis. However, if you are still concerned, you can call your doctor and ask to speak to a nurse.
I am experiencing exactly what you described now today would be the 4th day... everyone saying I should be at the ER but I am terrified of hospitals. My pain constant in my back on the sides like the flank area and that's a constant dull ache it radiates to my abdominal but there's a sharp pain that goes straight through to the back Right side of abdomen two inches from my naval ...
I have contact nausea and slight unsteadiness. I have had a CT of my head and a ECG of my heart to rule out anything extremely serious.
At times the nausea gets soo bad i feel like i may faint.
Also the pains in my abdomen seem to get worse when i eat or after a night out drinking. Then the pain gets very sharp and spreads to the left side and lower left of the back, i get hit by a sudden feeling of weakness and have to lie down.
now i am developing the same pain again after about 20 hours, so i want to ask can it be appendicitis even if ultrasound doesnt show it? one of my friend got operated last month, she was having the same pain but ultrasound didnt show anything even then she got operated n now is fine!
30 am with bad stomach pain (top middle), bloating, and gas. I went the the ER about 6 hours later and received indigestion meds. I felt much better outside of mild abdominal discomfort from gas still. Now the next day my lower right stomach is pretty tender, nowhere else, just lower right side. Should I be worried about appendicitis? Could it be tender from extreme gas and bloating?

Last night I started having a dull pain on the right side of my abdomen, across from my belly button, it went away today but came back around lunch time. It went away again and now at 2am it has come back. I pressed on my stomach a bit and it send a shooting pain through my belly button area. Its not SUPER painful, just more of a discomfort. I've also started urinating WAY more in the past hour and I'm not sure if its related but my knees began aching REALLY bad out of nowhere.
t have a gallbladder because of a malrotation. It sounds like what you are talking about is an intra-hepatic gallbladder. Usually the gallbladder is attached to the undersurface of the liver by peritoneum. Rarely, the entire gallbladder is located within the liver. Removal requires that one go through some liver tissue to get to it.
d been suffering from a fever, lower/midline abdominal pain on my right side, and severe diarrhea for several days, and was told by my doctor to go to the ER to rule out appendicitis. Besides my signs/symptoms, the only abnormal finding was a slightly enlarged appendix in the ultrasound and CT. I was told to keep an eye out for things, and to go back asap if things got worse- which they likely would within a reasonably short amount of time.
As soon as she left the bedside, I told my ex I still thought it was appendicitis. The surgeon got there and heard the story, saw the white count, and examined him. He said it was gangrenous appendicitis and started an IV. Then after 6 hours or something he took out his appendix.
So yeah, it can be confusing sometimes. The thing they most often confuse it with is diverticulitis. That can be even worse than appendicitis though.

What you have described are classic symptoms of appendicitis. I recommend that you see your doctor as soon as possible to rule this out or go right to the ER for evaluation. If appendicitis is ruled out, this could be anything from some constipation to a stomach virus, or even somthing like an ectopic pregnancy. This really needs to be evaluated. Good luck.
