Avatar f tn I had an apendicitis a few years ago, it felt mite like a throbbing stabbing pain deeper inside, not like a pulled muscle at all. What your describing definitly sounds more like round ligament pain to me.

Avatar n tn I have rang my Doc, Heptatis C advice line and NHS Direct and every service has told me not to worry, as transmission via casual contact is very rare and my situation is almost an impossibility. I just wanted some further reassurance as this worry is getting me down and playing in my mind a bit. Thanks for any replies, and sorry to sound pathetic.

Avatar f tn Mines were burned when I was 12 and had a really bad case of apendicitis that turned into peritonitis. The acid burned everything on its path. Doctors told me that I was never going to be able to have kids. Luckily, I have a gorgeous 2 year old daughter! Good Luck to you!
Avatar f tn Ok thank you, could I be pregnant?
Avatar f tn For acute back pain without pre-existing problems I would suggest gentle stretching, hot packs to the area and avoiding prolonged sitting. Mild analgesics and muscle relaxants could help. Soaking in a hot tub and a gentle massage could also reduce muscle tension in the back area. Persistent pain and any weakness requires a medical consult.
Avatar f tn I have just rang but they are closed due to bank hols, I rang nhs direct as that's who they put me in touch with and someone ringing back within hour, the pain seems to be getting worse!

Avatar f tn That's not happened to me, but you could call NHS Direct on 111? That's what my GP suggested I do out of hours, as I've been bleeding this week. They were able to fit me in for a scan at my local hospital tomorrow at v short notice, so if your local hospital has staff around on the weekend you might not have to wait either. How much bleeding, and is it more red or brown?
Avatar f tn ive had blood clots before but only twice, mine were huge and im talking golf ball size so i was really worried and rung the nhs direct and a doctor told me only to worry if i got a fever, so im guessing blood clots are normal
1534233 tn?1523388856 ve not had anything checked yet, was only able to phone up NHS direct and their advice was ibuprofen and cocodamol. I cannot easily see a doctor as its next to impossible to get time off my work. In fact its difficult enugh to get time off work for hospital appointments! Any ideas on alterbatives to ibuprofen as I think my body seems to react badly to it sometimes and would rather avoid taking it?
Avatar f tn We brought her to the ER with severe pains in the lower right quadrant, thinking it might be apendicitis. Blood work, and Cat scan showed nothing...urinalysis showed infection. They put her on Bactrim. Next evening we brought her back to the ER because she was screaming in excruciating pain. After about 3 hours or so the pain just went away and the ER said it is probably an ovarian cyst. She is still having pain but the pain goes from the right hip area to the front area wherre her ovaries are.
676912 tn?1332812551 I think it has to do with gallstones and apendicitis..both of which are startlingly common during pregnancy.
543435 tn?1282242679 Ovarian Cysts Benign....chronic apendicitis (took it out) mesenteric adenitis (a benign inflamation of the lymph nodes). Not quite sure how they diagnosed the last one since they didn't do any biopsies but i guess we just trust their higher education right? Anywho, take care everyone...and I will still be around reading the boards. Just send me a shout if I can answer any questions.
