I also would add, if you are wanting to give a medication to a cat (or a human), there is not a lot of room for error. You have to be dead correct on what is wrong, what should be given as a result, and what amount to give. And that is if you have meds formulated for the species you are treating. It's just never a good idea to take someone else's medications.

I was put on Cipro and the culture report has a list of 11 antibiotics and how helpful each is for this type of infection. Amoxicillan isn't even on the list for E-coli. I would call you doctor again and ask what antibiotic WOULD help. I can't believe your doctor would just let this go! And always ask for copies of your test results. Good luck to you! I can relate, but I don't have the bad symptons you have. Just burning and a pressure feeling.

Because normally if it would be Syphilis you need a certain antibiotics/peneceline injected in your buttocks. And taking antibiotics when you don't have a prescription is not wise as for every bacteria a certain antibiotic would be best to use. Also if you don't take the right antibiotics in the right quantity the bacteria could get resistant to antibiotics.
I suppose your are taking the antibiotic that were allocated on you by your doctor. He will have all the answers for you, but don't try to take any other treatment without any prescription.

Yes, I also got a prescription for an antibiotic, and looked it up, it was class c, I talked to my doctor about it, and he refused to give me anything different, my new doctor gave me macrobid, it's class b (safest you're going to get) and worked great, you'll be fine!!

The symptoms can be due to balanoposthitis. Oral course of antibiotics is needed. In addition, please don’t use any cosmetics on the penis, instead use some topical antimicrobials like Bacitracin or Lotrimin. Also corticosteroids and topical immunosuppressants can be used but they are available under prescription. Also retract the foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis and foreskin.
Sunday, the pain got really excruciating, so I took ten ibuprofin...to no avail. I went ahead and took out my old script of antibiotics and Lortab and took one of each that evening, about five pm. The next day I went in for a pre employment drug screen.
A friend of mine told me that the Lortab will show up as positive for narcotics on my drug test. Is this true, and if it was prescribed to me two years ago will the prescript be null and void if I present it to the doctor?
