I take both lactulose and rifaximin and they really are helpful. Make sure you take enough lactulose to have about 3 bowel movements a day for the med to be effective.
He has been treated for that, and his counts are good. As for the Mycobacterium, he has been taking lots of antibiotics, none of them seem to help. His T-cells are very low and lymphocytes are swollen. he has been taking:
Vancomycin, ETHAMBUTOL , KLACID, RIFABUTIN, MEGAXINE, MYCOBUTIN, SEPTRIM FORTE
do you have any other recommendations, since the antibiotics are not helping him...

These antibiotics, in most cases, will prevent infection to the fetus and newborn. These same antibiotics are also given to newborns with listeriosis.

Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

My issue is I started to feel better at the start of my my second round of antibiotics but now I feel bad again... I feel like I got tightness in the center of my chest like the top part of my lungs wont open up... I don't have to much of a cough or mucus production and no fever. But I do have asthma and do smoke since I was 18 and am now 21.

the proteins can come from vegetables like beans and similar or fresh eggs from animals in the wild or your neighbors so you know what you eat
I have a friend of mine in bad health right now. On top of that, he has this "hole" in his foot on his left heel. The heal is all hard and callused, with a hole in the middle of the callus almost 1/2 inch deep and 1/2 inch round. The inside looks very raw like a raw piece of meat. I have had a severe problem with ear infections in the outer ear. I get it severel times a month, and have taken antibiotics, but it always comes back. It is eating away at my ear, but my doctor just keeps prescribing antibiotics.
The ear does not produce any earwax, and I have been told by a different doctor, that the lack of earwax can be the cause of infection.
Is there something I can do to stimulate the production?
If the actually gut lesion and gut permeability is caused by a specific bacterium, then the latest antibiotics which is not out yet publically will surely cure it in the future, but I doubt this is the case. Why? Because TMAU2 patients have been put on harsh rounds of antibiotics and the condition returned straight afterwards.
Currently I think the only difference between TMAU2 and PATM is where on the gut is happening, added with bacterial species and how severe it is.

But not too slaty as this will make dehydration worse. The best meat stock for dogs is water in which unsalted meat and vegetables have cooked. An unwell dog is more likely to feel interested in some home cooked meat and vegetable stew, than dry kibble!
