Avatar f tn Hi, and sorry I took so long getting to your post. I am not a doctor but can give you advice. Are you allergic to eggs? One of the side effects of the flu vaccine is "occasional vomiting or diarrhea." Obviously, if you are allergic to eggs you probably would have had a more severe reaction but people have different reactions to food allergies. Also, perhaps for you the vaccine seems to give you vomiting as the norm rather than occasionally.

Avatar f tn s causing your symptoms. If you are concerned about the vaccine and potential side effects, talk to the doctor or clinic who administered it to you. Instead of taking a vaccine for a disease that isn't even present in your country, you would be better served by finding a counselor who can help you address your irrational fears.
Avatar n tn Thank you so much for taking the time to respond, it is greatly appreciated. My last vaccine was over a week ago, and I have seen some fluctuation of the side effects since this post as well. They are fairly steady and constant, but I have noticed a decrease on occasion so am hopeful they may all pass soon. I’ve also began utilizing OTC pain meds daily which do help tremendously the constant headache.

Severe problems: • Life-threatening allergic reactions to vaccines are very rare. If they do occur, it is usually within a few minutes to a few hours after the shot. If the reaction is severe: What should I look for?
Avatar f tn ) My children are 8 and 9, I had them each get the nasal mist for H1N1 with no ill side effects. I know of several people who have gotten the H1N1 vaccine and no ill effects. My niece got it and she got it for her 6 month old baby, no ill effects. My daughter has chosen not to get the vaccine and not to have my 10 month old granddaughter get the vaccine. She has flown here twice with the baby cross country during the swine flu outbreak and luckily neither had contracted a flu of any kind.
Avatar n tn I got the pneumonia shot two days ago and today woke up to a very very red, hot to the touch and swollen arm from injection spot to elbow--is this normal
Avatar f tn Just for those who may not know, the H1N1 vaccine is included in the seasonal flu vaccine this year. Last year, I got both shots and had no problems w/the H1N1 vax. I just wanted to let you know that in case you might be wondering about the H1N1 part. In fact, I really didn't hear of any ill effects in the news from anybody taking the H1N1 shot.
Avatar f tn There aren't any side effects that i know of. It's to protect your newborn from pertussis so i always get it. I got it last week and my arm hurt slightly for 2 days but other than that nothing.
Avatar f tn As a middle-aged adult I am thinking of getting pneumonia vaccine as well. My doctor thinks that the current vaccine - which protects against 23 specific strains of pneumonia - is probably not of much use to an adult because adults are typically stricken by strains of pneumonia not defended by the current vaccine.
