angiogram

Avatar m tn if FFA means fluorscene angiography. Yes if OCT is done or if edema is visible with regular eye instruments.
Avatar f tn Am -10 myopic and it’s been like that for 10 years now my oct shows a central thickness of 261 and average thickness of 255 and volume of 7.2 ...i had a PVD last year with no complications ...am I in danger for having myopic degeneration ?
Avatar f tn For the last 3 years I’ve had 3 small blind spots in the center of my vision I’ve had many tests done to try and figure out why but nothing ever showed up. Each spot in a tiny oval around 1-2mm in size looking at my phone screen. If they are over a white line or an intersection between two contrasting edges the spots will flicker.
Avatar n tn Thank you for your response. I have already had four visual field tests done which came back fine. Hopefully the doctor will keep investigating until an answer is found.
Avatar f tn I started seeing wavy with both eyes , in the last 2 months i have seen a lot of change with my eyes. I am 36 years old with -14D in both eyes. Any recommendations?
Avatar m tn No. Dr. O.
Avatar m tn Optical cohdrence tomography showed flattened pigment epithelial detachment, resolution of neorosensory detachment, scarring in subfoveal choroidal neovascular with membrane appearing more compact and decreasein cystoid macular edema in right eye. Fundus fluorescein angiography done later showed staining of scar with decrease in leakage. He was advised repeat Avastin injection in right eye. On review fundus picture was stable in both eyes.
Avatar f tn The specialist said she can see the spot but there are no lesions and the bleed is inactive, so her working diagnosis right now is white dot syndrome with retinal hemorrhage and nevus of choroid of the left eye. She wants me to return in a week. I am really confused about what white dot syndrome is? Is there any treatment? Will the vision in my left eye ever return to normal?
Avatar n tn doctors say that eye is not damaged but there may be problem behind that eye.the problem is now i had water behind retina of my left eye also.i am very upset. i am feeling problem in my studies. can anyone tell me for how much this water behind retina remains.
Avatar n tn Im 28-year-old male with high myopia (around -7D in both eyes). I've been getting my eyes checked every few years and never had any problems until five months ago -decreased night vision, a bit different color perception and tree resembling scotoma in the very centre of my left eye's visual field along with flu-like symptoms. I rushed to the retina specialist, who found chorioretinal scars in both of of my eyesand an active inflammation in/around (not sure now) left eye's optic disc.
Avatar f tn Thank you for a valuable forum and resource for those of us with high-myopia-induced eye concerns. I'm 50 a lifetime history of high myopia (-14.0 both eyes). I've used soft lenses since I was a teen. My degree of myopia has been stable for the past 10 yrs. I've had a bit of astigmatism in the left eye for years, but it's been tolerable without toric lenses. I use drugstore readers for fine work (about +1.5), but don't need them all the time.
Avatar m tn In eye clinic that I had my Fluorescein Angiography test, there was another eye specialist who also examined my left eye and he said both the fluorescein photographs and his examination show that my eye is OK and he dose not see any problem.I returned my fluorescein angiogram + digital photography of retina to my doctor and he said that I have to perform yet another test , Perimetry. well I did that and returned the result to my doctor.
Avatar f tn My overall health is good (no diabetes etc) and retina is attached. Fluorescence angiography showed dye leakage which was attributed to avulsed vessel (s) and OCT showed an ERM. I decided to have a vitrectomy after getting the opinion of 2 retina specialists to release traction. That was 8 days ago. Endolaser photocoagulation was applied and SF6 gas was used. My concerns: 1. I’m in face down position.
Avatar m tn I had full Fluorescein Angiography done. The retina specialist confirmed CSCR and told me to be patient. She said it definitely is not AMD and I won't go blind. Optic nerve and eye in general are very healthy. Fluorescein Angiography also showed three other old but non-active fluid leak spots, but in areas that would not have impacted my vision.
Avatar f tn AZOOR shows up with dilated exam and special testing of peripheral retina Its not a diagnosis 5 retina surgeons would all miss. suggest neuroophthalmologist as your next consult with visual field tests.
Avatar m tn Hello, I am 30 years old, have high myopia (-14.5 per eye) and had in 2010 an Avastin injection due to Myopic Macular Degeneration on my left eye. Last week while playing basketball I've got hit on the right side of my face, the hit was not the strongest nor hardest (was against a bicep of the opponent, not a bone) but it was unfortunately "perfectly" timed. Immediately after the hit, I noticed a new black spot on my right eye (the part which was hit).
Avatar f tn 5) - over the past year, I noticed a marked change in my vision. After a couple of prescription increases, I requested an appointment with an Ophthalmologist. Using an Amsler Grid, he discovered I was seeing wavy lines in my central vision but was unable to determine a reason for this. The Ophthalmologist refered me to a retina specialist - to make a long story short, she is not able to find any reason for the visual disturbances either.
514381 tn?1216223653 You folks have been so helpful in the past. I have another question. I went for a follow-up visit with my retinologist after having Visudyne/PDT treatment for my persistant CSR symptoms. The symptoms (wavy vision, vaseline-like haze and bad low-light vision) have not gotten any better, and now I am having an awful time reading.
1778927 tn?1381878747 I began seeing a red dot suddenly out of the corner of my left eye back in June 2011. I immediately went to an Ophthalmologist who told me that he could not see anything but I seem to have abnormal blind spots. I was sent to a Retina Specialist. I was dilated and given Fluorescein Angiography and the doctor determined that I had CSR. I was told to wait about a month and come back. When I came back there was little to no change so I was told to wait longer.
Avatar f tn I needed someone with a conservative approach since other doctors wanted to do extreme laser treatments which would have “killed” portions of my eyes and would have caused loss of vision. Dr. d. was used by God to save my sight. Your situation isn’t the same as mine, but a good doctor will discuss with you all your options. Don’t wait. Seek a third opinion and forth if necessary until you find someone who is right for you. I’ve already said a prayer for you.
275184 tn?1211224813 I went and a Fluorescein Angiography done on both eyes today, because of a spot in my top right central vision of my left eye. The best way to describe the spot is if I see a closed door and look at the black line between the closed door and the door frame, the black line looks normal except for a spot where the white flows over into the black line. There was no leakage in the Fluorescein Angiography, so that is a good thing.
Avatar m tn Bullseye, doctor! As it happens, I saw my retina doctor yesterday. We performed a macular OCT and also fluorescein angiography (and I am one of the unlucky few who get nauseous from the dye). These images confirm the macular edema in my right eye is causing the image differences in vision between my eyes. He is going to re-evaluate me in two months and then consider treatment options. We've done a lot of laser in both eyes already. Any comments are welcome.
Avatar n tn They said there was change in the retina which they could see but did not know why it happened. I recently saw a retina specialist who said that the retina change was from scar tissue due to the cold laser treatment. He said it was often the case that the vision improved after the initial treatment but deteriorated after 4 to 5 years from scaring. He said my vision lost was permanent.
Avatar m tn Last year my surgeon said that my branch retinal vein occlusion has resolved completely. Is this possible? Because part of my vision is still blocked. Also I was Diognised in 2000 to suffer from CRVO how did this change to BRVO? I m 68 year old in medication for high BP.
Avatar m tn 2) He recommended against wait and watch and said if there is no improvement or the fluid accumulation under the retina gets worse after 6 weeks of Spironolactone, laser treatments will have to be done. 3) The blurriness in the right eye might take time to resolve or will probably never resolve to 20/20 vision like I previously had. 4) There is a chance of recurrence in both eyes. He said excessive stress is a trigger and the condition is inherited.
