my 7 month old is on amoxicillin for an ear infection. I just gave him 2 teaspoons instead of the 1 teaspoon as instructed.

I just got done with a prescription for 875 mg of amoxicillin twice a day for 10 days. Will that cure chlamydia and gonorrhea??
What's the earliest anyone has experienced symptoms? Overall pain (hit by a train), overwhelming fatigue, stiff neck, low grade fever? I was bit 3 times - have 2 rashes.They are all in the same area on my back and I didn't know they were there until my husband saw the rashes and one tick. Dr says it looks like 2 ticks were involved. If so, one got away on its own. I was on doxycycline but had an allergic reaction so I'm now on amoxicillin.

Symptoms of an allergic reaction to amoxicillin, a member of penicillin, may include anaphylaxis, hives, below-the-skin swelling, or asthma symptoms. Skin testing is the best method for diagnosing a penicillin allergy. If found to be allergic, the main treatment is avoidance of future use of amoxicillin and related antibiotics. Other groups of antibiotics with the same efficacy, may be used to treat the infection.
She should be managed by anti-histaminic and steroids which take care of the allergic symptoms. It is good she has stopped amoxicillin and shift to another class of drugs, other than Beta lactums. The symptoms may persist for a week or two. Erythema multiforme which is usually seen as circular rashes (target like lesions) and usually involves distal limbs can be seen secondary to amoxicillin. I've never had this reaction, but people react to medications in individual ways. I've read several posts about this problem with antibiotics, though I don't know if you can prove something like this definitively. I always say to trust your instincts and never to trust doctors when they talk about medication -- they really know very little about it, as is natural since they're not drug researchers.
My Daughter took amoxicillin for 1 week for an ear infection. She woke up the day after her final dose with a Rash over her entire body. By day three they had turned into big swollen welts. It did not seem to itch or bother her but I took her to the doctor and they said it was just a side effect from the medication and should disapear in 4-5 days. Well it has now been a week and the spots are still there.

This lasted 2 weeks and during this time, I was prescribed amoxicillin with the thought that I had a bacterial infection. The symptoms began to subside, I resumed the omerprazole and the swollen tongue, red gums came back with a vengeance. Does this sound like an allergic reaction? Could I be experiencing chemical burn from acid reflux. I am desperate! Could this be caused by taking the omerprazole with food instead of an empty stomach?
What are your current thyroid hormone levels? Be sure to post reference ranges with results, since ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report. You should be getting tested periodically for TSH, Free T3 and Free T4. Do you have other symptoms of over medication, such as weight loss, diarrhea, tremors, etc. Do you have Hashimoto's?

No. Amoxicillin (even in large doses) will not cause a termination of pregnancy. It's a pregnancy category B drug certified by the US FDA which means it's a safe best to take during pregnancy. In higher doses, it may cause some side effects such as diarrhea etc.
If a termination is planned, it is very important to visit a proper gynecologist, who can decide the best option depending on a variety of factors including mother's age, how far the pregnancy has progressed etc.
This sounds like it has 100% to do with the Amoxicillin, and not Mono combined with Amoxicillin and so forth.
Amoxicillin can cause joint pain although this is not a common side effect, but can occur and should NOT be permanent, but temporary.
If this hasn't subsided, this definitely needs to be further investigated by your physician.

Today, nine days after beginning to feel sick, I visited my doctor and was prescribed Amoxicillin 875mg tabs to be taken twice a day for the next ten days. Overdose Of Paracetamol often shows NO SYMPTOMS within the first 24 hours after the overdose. In some cases although there may be mild nausea and vomiting. If the overdose is large then liver function may start deteriorating leading to either of these; jaundice, confusion, and loss of consciousness. Death due to overdose of Paracetamol is rare but when it occurs it is in majority of cases due to liver failure.
I took 1500mg of Clarithromycin ER, and 1875mg of Amoxicillin that night. The following morning took another 1gm of the Clarithromycin ER & 1375mg of Amoxicillin. Still on Day 2 (only 24 post exposure) took 500mg Clarithromycin ER. The next day, today took Amoxicillin 500mg & Clarithromycin ER 500mg & Ceftiaxone 1gm IV (prefer not to explain but I am in healthcare).
I am not suicidal. I am being prescribed Lithium daily. I like to know as much as I can about my meds. I know the lethal dose of lithium is about 5gs or 5000mgs which is about 5 times what I am prescribed. I also have looked up the symptoms of lithium toxicity (not fun). But I can't seem to fine anywhere how long after a lethal amount or a small overdose (such as 1 accidental extra dose) on top of toxicity symptoms would start to show or when death would take place.
