I've noticed with allergies, some OTC medications work and others don't. It depends on your body. Claritin doesn't do a thing for me, but it relieves my husband's allergy symptoms. So consider trying an OTC medcation and if that doesn't work... try another one. (welcome to the frustrating world of allergies!)

Well I have had Hashimoto for the past 10 years, and I also have had allergy problems and have taken Allegra D for the past 4 years. I don't think allegra had anything to do with my hashimoto/hypothyroid.

In the first place Zyrtec tends to make you drowsy and Allegra tends to perk you up. It would be pretty weird to take them together. I take Zyrtec daily and when my allergies act up I take a single dose of Benadryl which is short-acting. that works well for me.
Hello I have for a few years had numb feet on the top of my foot from my ankle to my big toe and numb across the top of my foot above my toes, sometimes its numb then burning and tingling and when I stretch my toes to a point like a ballerina it feels like it is very stiff inside maybe a tendon or a nerve, Do you have any ideas please, I have been to my doctor asking for about 2 years and still no idea. Any suggestions?
s when I decided to try the Allegra for the Paxil, problem. Just to let you know, I ended up taking 1/2 of an Allegra and the symptoms went away again. I woke up this morning feeling fine. The zaps usually start late in the day and are not bad.
Just to reassure everyone....I have a doctor appointment Monday morning at 9am!!! I will not, however, take another Paxil! Thanks for all you help and input..

Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
Even though I was getting painkillers for legitimate chronic pain (neuropathy), I finally told my doctor that I can't use pills responsibly any more and that he shouldn't give me any more.
It was an incredibly difficult thing to do, but I finally did it.

I want to be a classical ballerina and their weight is very low. I am almost 5'6 and weigh around 112 pounds and my goal weight is 105. Are there any serious health concerns having a weight that low that i should be aware of.

My big toes stick up and every time i wear shoes that are like ballerina flats, etc. my toe nail is really sore after. Sometimes it's sore for days. Does anyone know if anything i can buy to help avoid this problem?

Congratulations! If you were my patient, I would advise you to take the absolute minimum medication that you can get away with during the first trimester especially. BUT having said that, Allegra is pregnancy category C which means that it CAN be used in pregnancy if the benefits out weigh the risks.

One of the girls (17) who is a ballerina and in perfect shape, sits on his lap often. He rubs her feet her legs her back and her hair in fornt onf his entire family and no one seems to think its weird. She is very aggressive and always expects hi mto hold her hand even when he is holding his GFs hand (like in a movie theater) and he lays next to both of them in bed for hours at a time (supposedly) talking.
Something alarming happened today. I took two allergy pills around 10:00pm. Around 12 pm I had a baowel movement. The stool looked... fluffy. Not diareah (-sp?) like, but spongy. There were two white things floating. When I looked closer I realized they were the allergy pills I took. It was Allegra D. Could this be the reason they haven't been working like they used to? I mean, they hardly looked like the outer coating was gone. Should I go to the doctor? Be alarmed? That was kinda freaky.
Benadryl is safe.
I would sit tight till they open. These are such new drugs and only your Dr can give you the green light. You don't want to risk SVR unless you know for sure.

I have really bad allergies and can usually get away with just Zyrtec but this year they are way worse and my doc told me to switch it up and try Claritin or Allegra the Allegra seems to work the best when I also take a sudafed but don't take the combo one just plan Allegra and plain sudafed.
