I am still recieving bids for our hotel plus I have been in touch with the American Cancer Society who was so much help for us last year For those of you who want to come but are worried about hotel finances, many of the hotels I have seen will let you have up to 4 per room. Even if they will only allow 2, I am sure that we can get around that. And those of you either flying in or taking the train, please do not worry as we will make sure that you will have a ride.

As some of you know I live in Chicago, and have been helping Chris search out ideas for accomodations. Looking into renting a house? or downtown condo? That way we can keep expenses down for everyone attending,and have the space to hang out together. Just trying to get some idea, of how many attending already have a place to stay, and how many are willing to share?

I just wanted to make sure that everyone saw the post about the hotel and reservations. I am getting ready to send out reminders to everyone that I have not heard from. I do realize that it is a little early but I am also trying to get a rough estimalte of how many we are going to have. If you want to bring someone with you that is fine and if you would like to share a room to help defray the cost, that is also fine.

Hope Bron is doing well with the pregnancy, and that you two have a wonderful visit. Trying to get organized for my Canada trip, I leave on the 22nd, and return Oct 2nd..will only be 3 weeks til we pick you up at the airport!

On 6/27/16 i was walking on Michigan avenue in chicago from the water tower to east onterio street, a major shopping district of this city well lit and with plenty of foot traffic. it was about 9pm and i was walking home alone from dinner. I had a bug bite on my left shoulder. literally right before i walked in my hotel i thought, "what if someone poked me with a needle in that arm."?

Yes definitely a hotel! Maybe go into the city .. we live in a small town so maybe a trip to Chicago or Milwaukee ... thats always fun and lots to do.

Just letting you all know I am leaving for 4 days to a course in Chicago. I am going with my best friend(who has my old job), and we are sharing a hotel room. I am SO looking forward to this trip. I need a break from the reality of my life and have some "me" time. I am really having lots of trouble with my leg and foot since Sunday. The front of my calf hurts and feels like water is running down it. I never had this sensation before.

The meeting location was changed from the hotel to the Loyola law school. I already felt the panic set it...I was told it was a "quick 5 minute walk". OK, a quick 5 minute walk, turned out to be a very difficult 1/2 hour walk. I pushed myself WAY too hard, and am severely paying for it. We went to China town for dinner, and the escalator was broken. I didn't think I would make it too the top. It was not only physically difficult, but mentally embarrassing.

He has suffered his whole life with what he considered an allergy until he was dx with VR by a very reputable ENT in Madison WI. He grew up in Western Mass, has lived in Chicago, Virginia, Oregon (Portland) and now Madison, WI. All places he has lived offer NO relief. He has literally been sneezing, congested and in chronic "allergy" mode since December. He has a career that will offer a job literally anywhere. WE have 2 small children so moving to Iceland, not an option...

Well I have had Hashimoto for the past 10 years, and I also have had allergy problems and have taken Allegra D for the past 4 years. I don't think allegra had anything to do with my hashimoto/hypothyroid.

In the first place Zyrtec tends to make you drowsy and Allegra tends to perk you up. It would be pretty weird to take them together. I take Zyrtec daily and when my allergies act up I take a single dose of Benadryl which is short-acting. that works well for me.

s when I decided to try the Allegra for the Paxil, problem. Just to let you know, I ended up taking 1/2 of an Allegra and the symptoms went away again. I woke up this morning feeling fine. The zaps usually start late in the day and are not bad. Just to reassure everyone....I have a doctor appointment Monday morning at 9am!!! I will not, however, take another Paxil! Thanks for all you help and input..

Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.

Hi! Congratulations! If you were my patient, I would advise you to take the absolute minimum medication that you can get away with during the first trimester especially. BUT having said that, Allegra is pregnancy category C which means that it CAN be used in pregnancy if the benefits out weigh the risks. Hope this helps!

Loratadine is considered a placebo by many doctors (and many patients that I have talked to). Zyrtec and Allegra are good choices. Since Allegra just came OTC, it will be much more expensive the Zyrtec generic. I take Zyrtec. Take care and feel better. God bless.
