My mother had a stroke about 5 months ago and we are considering opening the blood thinning aggrenox capsules and giving her half the dosages with applesause. She is already on the lowest dosage available. It's always a crapshoot to take the chance to alter medication as your doctor will tell you.
The only thing aggrenox does is allow the blood to get through areas where the passages are very small due to calcification etc., so keeping the blood thin is important.
Does anyone know what to take for an alternative to Aggrenox? I had a TIA almost 4 years ago and was put on Aggrenox, well, my husband will be losing his job in a week due to the economy which also means we will be losing our health insurance as well. I asked my doctor if he could take me off it and put me on something else and all he said was he would prefer I stayed on Aggrenox. I don't think we can afford it because it is $305 for a month supply!
Aggrenox does have aspirin in it. It is recommended for strokes, as you already know. I'm not sure why the Dr has taken away the Aggrenox. Maybe he feels that taking aspirin is equivalent with less side effects? Aspirin does work well to help prevent stokes and heart attacks. So, there was no reason given for the change?
Baka gusto mo i-try ang live stem cell capsules. One month pa lang uminom ang mama ko ang hbsag niya ay bumaba sa 1.18 ang normal ay less than 1. FEU hospital ako nagpalabtest at isang clinic malapit sa amin,parehas nagnegative....Gumamit ng Korean Red Ginseng at finalow ko ung exact procedure na 3 times a day minsan sumosobra pa sa kagustuhang gumaling kaagad...marami na akong nilapitan na doctor dati at lahat sila ay nagsabing walang gamot ang hepa B... pero masasabi ko na marami nang gumaling dahil isa ako sa mga nakinig ng testimonial ng korean red ginseng...
hi, hello everyone can somebody tell me that totoo bang may pag asa pang mag non reactive ang taong reactive na sa hepa b? 10 years na ang asawa ko na may ganung sakit salamat sa Diyos wala naman kami ng anak ko. dito ako sa cavite nakatira,madami dito nyan minsa sa gilid ko lng ng daan kinukuha..gamot nga din daw yan sa hepa at sa may diabetes, pero ang sa akin may bato ako sa kidney.. 3 sa kaliwa 2 sa kanan, mabisa daw itong pantunaw ng bato.. kaya sumubok ako wala nmn mawawala kung i-try ko, 100% safe naman daw syan inumin at walang side effect higit sa lahat libre pa!...sa loob ng isanglinggong pag inum ko nito pansin ko nga ung ihi ko madaming lumalabas na latak na parang buhangin puti..

Does anyone know if it is ok to release the medicine out of capsules and mix the medicine up in juice? I have a problem swallowing pills and was not sure if this was an option????
I've found that Aggrenox seems to work without side effects. It's primarily baby aspirin, but also contains a drug that prevents platelets from sticking together. I've taken it twice a day since my stroke, and it appears to work, but who ever knows?

Since then nag start nako magtrabaho as a utility cadet. Last month nagpasuri ako sa doktor sa PGH at pinakuha niya ako sa hi-precision ng mga lab test gaya ng liver ultrasound which is normal nang malaman ko ang result at ito naman po ang result sa sgpt at sgot ko

SGOT/AST (KINETIC) 26.19 U/L
Bumalik po ako sa PGH at tinignan naman ng doktor ang mga result at ang sabi niya normal naman daw lahat.
