1540549 tn?1292975313 the vomiting and generally the answer is that when we vomit the vagal tone of our heart (the nerve that goes into our hearts) gets stimulated and sets off almost a vibration that can start a fibrillation on us.....but Ken is very right when he said that its up to your doc to make the call on when to head to his/her office or the E,R,....our vagal nerves are funny little things and can cause all sort of heart issues.....
662972 tn?1270166301 She has 26 animals 11 outside big unfriendly dogs that only she can interact with which is ok, 6 inside little dogs and 6 or7 inside cats now she lives in older 2 bedrroom 2 bath trailer which is fine but once you walk in door all you smell is cat pi$$ awful and her house is a plum mess something you would see on tv hoarders that bad. She loves her animals and takes care them but not house.
393685 tn?1425812522 I would just like to extend my support for the MedHelp community to please attend this important feature from Dr. Ken Holtorf on thyroid disease and A1C levels. This will be valuable information on a variety of levels whether insulin resistance is - or is not part of your conditions. This meeting has been a work and progress for me speaking with his office.
Avatar f tn Dear Ken: Thank you for answering my e-mail. My BP is 100/60 sincde 2004, I had a second stent placed and a week later I feel some chest discomfort. Called my Cardio and he switched me from Propanolol to Isordil. The chest discomfort is from time to time. I asked my Cardio if this was the reason to make another CAT. He replied again to wait until early May. What do you think? I will be travelling for Easter!
3828469 tn?1358462325 I'm watching an episode where this lady has a week old baby boy and her hoarding is so bad there are dead rats everywhere! Like seriously how are these people allowed to take their kids home and keep them!?
Avatar n tn Hi Ken, I thought I posted a thank you as soon as I got your response, but I don't see it here. Hope you got it nonetheless.
Avatar m tn yes it could. See a Dr. right away. All they have to do is a blood test and you will know.
Avatar m tn My mother is 87 and she has e coli in her kidneys which went septic into her blood. My question is her blood pressure was 90 over 82 with pulse at 88. How dangerous is this?
Avatar f tn The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air. OSHA has limits of something like 25 ppm for people working in industry, apparently over that amount of ammonia in the air is bad for the lungs. As they were talking, the meter went over 25, then over 40, then over 60, then I think it stopped in the 70s or 80s.
Avatar f tn So, I will become a grandmother next year around the end of May (her due date per her LMP is May 26th) and my little Robin will have a niece or nephew that is only 7 months younger than she is :) Please keep my daughter and grandchild in your prayers. My daughter is not a particularly mature 21 year old-she smokes and has been doing a lot of drinking since she turned 21 in July. I pray she stops smoking and drinking and puts her baby first...
Avatar m tn All or almost all EKG require interpretation by a radiologist or if the technology a computer evaluation. Regardless, the EKG report should be corroberated with other tests and relevant clinical signs. What appears to be a medical problem based on your post is A=E and that relates to left ventricle filling time. For some insight the "E" and "A", the "E" is early filling and represents normally about 80% of the filling capacity.
1551327 tn?1514045867 It does make a difference picking up the phone and telling someone you are in a bad way and that you feel you want to die or things would be better for everyone if you weren't around any longer, or that you can't take it anymore. I had all 3 and more of those thoughts and feelings very real inside of me. It's not something you can laugh off, but it is something that changes in intensity throughout the day. It is never a good idea to leave someone alone with thoughts like that.
Avatar f tn Before this pregnancy I used to keep a very very clean house. Like, show room model home clean. And literally I swear the day of conception the lazy a s s switch turned on because i can't think of anything less enticing than sweeping or picking up. Anyone else experienced this? I need to figure something out because I used to be so tidy and I'm only in my 1 trimester and if it keeps going in like this I'm gonna be on the next episode of hoarders!
Avatar f tn But me I would just go to a family members and stay there for a bit. Hoarders have a weird attachment to their items.
Avatar n tn In may last year I had mastectomy for widespread dcis, cells were 100% ER and PR positive, but weakly ER positive and strongly PR positive (I hope I am translating this correctly), and I started taking tamoxifen in august. Before I started the tamoxifen a suspect endometrial polyp showed on the ultrasound. I had the polyp removed three weeks ago and have now been diagnosed with simple endometrial hyperplasia. I am supposed to take provera for 4 months (then have a D & C).

Avatar f tn So.... my husband's parents are hoarders and I've never been to their house but our daughter has. She's 3 years old. We have a little boy on the way and I just don't know if I want my kids going over there especially if I'm not allowed to.. Idk how bad the situation is and I know my husband is embarrassed. I've never talked to my in laws about it. They make me uncomfortable as is. I have been distant from them for the last couple months.
Avatar f tn Hi Ken, thank you so much for the valuable info… Her leukemia doctor refused to see her while she was warded for her hyponatremia, though the A&E doctors and him did communicate. We also asked if he had any other patients showing similar symptoms after taking Gleevec but got no response. Would appreciate if you could find out whether there’s increased risk of hyponatremia from LT use of the drug. What kind of specialist should I take my mum to for her low sodium problem?
Avatar m tn t get a good deep breath, my GP and Cardiologist thinks its Anxiety as my ECG, Blood Tests, Chest X Ray, 2D Echo with Color Doppler and Stress Test all came back normal, so He put me on anti anxiety and anti depressant and anti biotics for Sinusitis (sinus x ray showed Sinusitis), BP is 130/80 to 120/80 with BP meds, recently I have noticed constant Rapid Heart Beat, is this all because of anxiety or what?
