So I immediately went to Tums, Maalox, Prevacid, etc. And like you have mentioned, it only slightly curbed the symtpoms for maybe a small amount of time, if any. I also tried these because it is said that since Adderall is a base substance, these products would enhance the absorption rate.

I find vyvanse and/or Ritalin to be helpful in terms of making me alert and functional which of course has the secondary benefit of improving my executive function issues. With adderall not only am I more alert but it also has a marked impact on my executive function and task management in addition to the wakefulness. It is unfortunately a little harder to sleep and more concerning is I seen to have developed a mild sore throat and am constantly clearing my throat all day.

High protein breakfast is a great idea. I do that everyday and I definitely think it helps. Over the past year, I've just been drinking a protein shake for breakfast. Anyway, I began to notice that my breathing problems were the worst and most noticeable on days that I took Adderall. Apparently, Adderall can make the symptoms of acid reflux worse which is why I feel like I cant reach a satisfying deep breath. I haven't read anything linking thrush and reflux and the symptoms of thrush don't fit my symptoms, but I did watch my larynx collapse when trying to breathe.

It really is best to work with a Dr when weaning from these meds. His pediatrician should be able to help you with the taper.

I run 2 - 3x per week for 3 - 5 miles, weight training 2x per week, and boxing and wrestling for 90min 4x per week. I take Zantac for acid reflux and Adderall XR for concentration and memory retention. I eat very well, don't smoke, don't drink. not personal experience with adderall....but it is normal to feel fatigue with adderall wd...it is not life threatening and for the most part it is a mental wd vs narcotics being both/mental and physical...the fatigue is common among narc wds as both drugs supply extra endorphins to the brain//many feel fatigue after narcotic cessation to be a physical symptom like the runs...but it is a result of taking endorphins away and waiting on the brain to "catch up" on endorphin production....

Adderall should relax people with ADD. It relaxes me. She's basically using (abusing?) speed and dumped her boyfriend for no reason, possibly because her endorphines were flowing like crazy and she thought she didn't need him. She might have a tough time getting off it and crash hard. Plus when she gets offensve about her meds, that's a possible indication of drug abuse. Does her doctor know she also drinks every day? I know this is NOT the way to deal with these problems, just a quick fix that Im going to have to deal with at some point. For sure you dont want to cold turkey of the suboxone, its best to taper down especially when your still at 16mgs/day. With the adderall, I only have some brief experiences with it, but I never had a problem when I quit. But I know of many people who have had problems, its an amphetamine, so its very addictive. Hopefully some more people come by with more experience with adderall, Im not sure what the safest way to detox off.

I feel that adderall 30mg helped me with wd off of vicodin. Gives me a boost of energy after a restless night and helps me focus. Also Valium at 10-20mg night to sleep. Clonodin to sleep too knocks you out .3mg or .2mg is enough, lowers blood pressure and helps with the shakes/cold sweats. But the clonodine can make you feel zombied out. I took .5mg clonodines, slept for 3 hours and was a wet noodle, couldn't stand walk or even fumble about.
