I just recently got my wisdom teeth out and was prescribed an antibiotic for it. i am currently taking the antibiotic and stopped taking the pain killer they gave me about 4 days ago. i have an upcoming test and was maybe going to take some adderall to help me study. i do not have ADD and am not prescribed adderall. i know it may be harmful but i have done it in the past and i seemed to be fine. i was wondering if maybe taking the adderall while on the antibiotic would be a problem?
For anyone who is on of has a family taking adderall XR, or even knows about the drug----how much is too much, my son in 9 yrs old and the doctor wants to increase the medication to 60mg once a day in the am....this concerns me, its out of the FDA recommeded limits..
I have these & I can't take it anymore...the rubbing of my tongue on the roof of my mouth & teeth due to the Adderall IR & XR...If I recall correctly, it all started when I switched from Adderall to the generic. Has anyone gotten any feedback to this problem?

I'm a 21 year old male and I have an oral issue where the cause is unknown. Apparently I have a habit of pushing my tongue to the roof of my mouth and feeling around as if there was bits of food stuck on the roof of my mouth. It almost seems like a nervous reaction like popping joints or biting nails. It wouldn't usually bother me, but I've been tasting blood lately, as if I'm actually cutting the roof of my mouth. Does anyone have anything to help me?
ive had a serious head injury in 2003 and have impacted wisdom teeth. i've been prescribed adderall IR (not XR sorry) few months before the head injury and adderall worked fine. could be physiological as one psych RN told me. Perhaps the head injury affected my ears as I have slight tinnitus and on and off ear aches. Your input will be considered (not as medical advice, of course). Thank you.
This may be a weird question. I was prescribed Adderall a few months ago for my ADD but stopped taking it because I'm afraid of becoming dependent.
I have a history of REALLY bad colds that turn into debilitating sinus infections. I have constant headaches, stiffness, pain, drowsiness, dizziness, congestion, and more. Coughing, brushing my teeth, and sometimes just moving make me puke mucus at least 3 times a day, usually 5. I get them 3-4 times a year, and nothing works.
Later a new doctor switched me from Adderall to Nuvigil, which ended up being much better. Years of Adderall started causing my hair and teeth to fall out. (Fortunately the periodontist saved my teeth.)
There was an uncomfortable transition period when we stopped the Adderall and hand not yet started the Nuvigil. I forgot the doctor had a plan and felt I was being jerked around.
Someone reminded me the doctor had a plan and I felt better.

For the last year or so, I have noticed that while I am on my adderall, 30mg tab po bid, I often can detect a strong amonia like odor if I sweat. If I take a hot shower while washing my hair I can sometimes smell it. I have also noticed that I have been having difficulty with bowel movements. In the past two weeks I have only had a very small movement every 4 days. I also have itching and burning on the outside area of my rectum.
I'm a lot older than you but I've taken adderall for about 5/6 years. I am able to concentrate and focus better than before....I've never felt like a zombie (at least not from the adderall....but I digress). It will cause insomnia if you take it too late in the day.
While playing ball my son got his front teeth knocked out and my preacher is a well known dentist while he fixed my sons teeth by putting stems in for free (you can't tell they been knock out great job) he said my son tounge could be easily fixed and needed to be and shoukd have been done. I told him what the other doctor said and he told me to insist on it and I did.
obsessive internet surfing, looking for home businesses (which I honestly believe will work, and may, but with an unusually high confidence. This is due to, in my opinion, a false sense of confidence, or; the lowering of whatever makes me cautious. Without a stimulant (amphetamine), I am depressed. I am strong willed, but even after 5 months of not taking anything, I still had anxiety and depression. This being said however, not the same anxiety that I experience with Adder all.
not personal experience with adderall....but it is normal to feel fatigue with adderall wd...it is not life threatening and for the most part it is a mental wd vs narcotics being both/mental and physical...the fatigue is common among narc wds as both drugs supply extra endorphins to the brain//many feel fatigue after narcotic cessation to be a physical symptom like the runs...but it is a result of taking endorphins away and waiting on the brain to "catch up" on endorphin production....
Hi Nikki, congratulations for getting back into college! Not an easy thing to do for someone with ADHD. Got a feeling that your early experience with meds was due to an over dosage. Doctors start out with a dose and then wait for information on how it is working and then adjust from there. Everybody reacts differently. It may be that you are more sensitive then normal. Also now, there are a variety of new medications out there,and it might take a while to find the right fit.
In your experience, would even mild narcolepsy result in excessive daytime sleepiness but only occassional sleep attacks? If I do not take Adderall I could nap at any point during the day, but sometimes I am just excessively tired and will lie down but I won't fall asleep, or at least not within 10 minutes.
Does narcolepsy exist in a very mild form?
I was wondering if anyone has any advice about getting off adderall...I have been taking it on and off without a prescription for about three years and with a prescription for the past five months. I was prescribed a dose of 30 mgs a day but I have quickly increased my own dosage to 70--80 mg XR per day. I know I cant manage my use of this drug and I have recently become really worried about my health (Im a 22 year old formerly athletic female)...
I am really sensitive to medications. Adderall was like what I imagine taking crystal methamphetamine feels like. At least I felt like how those people looked.
I have been on Vyvanse for a while now. And was worried when they doctor said it was very similar to Adderall XR. But he promised me that the issues I was having with feeling ill, insomnia, and no appitite would lessen on Vyvanse. And that the nasty, gross stimulant feeling I got from Adderall would go away.
About a month ago I began to get a bitter taste in my mouth and it's progressively gotten worse. It's to the point that almost everything tastes horrible..I can't stand it. I will literally shiver eating foods I used to enjoy because they taste so bad. Is this due to Adderall? I've been on it since Jan. 2020 with no issues, so I just don't get why this would start now. Does anyone else have this issue?? How did you cure it?

I wear a parftial upper denture and it is torture to take that thing in or out, right now I just want to know are those symptoms normal for this medication and when will I start feeling better, and also, the whole inside of my mouth feels really raw and it hurets some but when I try to eat or brush my teeth its way to much to bear. And I have this god awful taste in my mouth that I can't figure out....but its so bad that I have gotten sick twice from the taste of it.
it seems to be intensified when i take my adderall i love the feeling when i masterbate on adderall.
At the time that it started I had been occasionally using adderall recreationally. I am also a heavy drinker, but have never had any sort of chronic head pain. The headaches that I've had never felt quite like this.

He goes to three different doctors and they have given him so much medicine to include, butibital, adderall (which he took 20mg 3 times a day, phenobarbital, Nuerotin, tramidol, flexiril, baclofen, sonata......He was a profession and ran a million dollar a year business and now it is all gone.....he is on complete disability, his face is disfigured, he has lost all his teeth , due to radiation, and he also suffers from depression.
Why is it that my pupils become so extremely dilated after just a few hours of taking my daily morning dosage of one 20MG Adderall XR and one or two 5MG Adderall (Immediate Release) tablets???!!!!
It is terribly embarrassing to look anyone in the eye now. I never used to feel so self-conscious about my appearance & social acceptance/perception, etc.. It's like this drug is has turned me into walking & talking oxymoron of a person.
At age 5 she begain taking Adderall. This increased her focus abilities but later she developed GI issues. Now she is taking 40mg of Vyvanse. It seems to work as well as Adderall and has no GI side effects however, she now does this hand movement thing....its not a tick, and seems to be both voluntary and involuntary. Like sometimes she is aware of it but is drivin to do it subconsiously.
Hello, my name is Justin and I was curious about the effects of taking adderall had on motor neuron and glutamate function. I am currently in medical school and have been taking adderall for some time now and notice that when I am taking in caffeine along with adderall I experience muscle twitching within my arms, legs, and fingers. Previously to my arrival at school, I was checked out by a neurologist who performed a NVC/EMG and said everything was fine.
I used to be on a high dose of methadone many years ago, I now am on only 60 mgs a day and many days I only take 50mgs. I am also on Wellbutrin XR, and yesterday I just started Adderall, 5mg 3XDaily I had really hoped it would help pull me out of the very deep depression I've been in for years now. My depression is so bad I'm on SS Disability for it.
I just wondered how severe my case was. I was prescribed adderall 3 yrs ago. started at 10mg twice a day, i did that for about 6 month, then went up to 15 in the morning 10 after lunch....long story short i really liked the high and started taking it 3 times a week and now i take it daily, and on any given day ill take up to as much as 150mg to just 70 or 80. i believe my body is on the verge of a continuous overdose but at the same time i have some withdraw symptoms.
Vyvanse is metabolized differently, so could last longer in your system. It was done so you could not snort it like you can with Adderall. Adderall gives a stronger first "hit". V is smoother and takes longer to take effect so may not be as noticeable. Also the Dose of V should be 30mg compared to 10mgs of adderall XR to be somewhat equal.
