actonel patient assistance

I take once monthly Actonel. While I was pushing the pill through the foil blister, it broke. I did not take that pill for fear that it could cause stomach problems. My question is would it have been safe to take? Also, if I contact Proctor & Gamble, do you think they might replace the pill. If it was a daily pill, I wouldn't worry about, but I just lost a whole month of medicine due to a faulty package design.

could anyone give me ideas as to where or who i would contact to get some patient assistance for acute hep c treatment? I am not working, cannot wait on s.s. disability. I try to do some construction work when available, but it is really rough.

I am 3 years post breast cancer i had lumpectomy chemo rads i have taken tamoxofen for 2,5 years now on aromasil i had a bone density scan and was told i had low calcuim levels, now on calcuim sandox and actonel asked if i had osetoprosis and was told no have read around actonel and have not taken it yet as of the side effects please can you advice thanks.

Suzanne, Happy Birthday! I too often wonder how I got old so fast.lol Time flies I guess. I will check out that website. The drs won't let me take things like actonel or that class of drugs as my osteoporosis affected the bones in my jaw and they are afraid to take the chance as with those drugs there is a risk. I was disappointmented about the forteo. I think that drug is more dangerous than its worth personally. Are you still working as an RN?

I was reading the post about suboxone prices ,someone wanted to know if the was any assistance for the cost . i currnetly am taking actonel for my bones the past 3 years and klonopin i per night and take alot of vitamins such as B compex etc. no alcohol consumption but i do smoke half a pack of cigarettes per day no other medical conditions known 6 months ago all my blood workups were normal . I contacted Brystol Myers Squibb and applied for the Patient Assistance Program. Right hip replacement. I'm on requip, lyrica, cymbalta,celebrex, just starting actonel plus vitamins & calcium. thank you. I'm 76, female. I have osteoporosis of the right hip and osteopenia of the left hip. I have peripheral neuropathy (familial), and two bad knees.

Without the patient assistance program I probably wouldn't be SVR - when my insurance refused to let me extend, they coudln't have made it easier and didn't even make me feel bad about needing them to help.

I am just tired of taking medicenes that seem to cause other problems. I think I have the GERD from taking Actonel even though I followed the instructions to the letter for taking the Actonel. No longer take it. Just take calcium.

I am also on Copaxone - can I suggest that you talk with them again at Shared Solutions and ask what criteria they use for patient assistance? They fund for people without insurance or underinsured through NORD - national organization of rare disease. Unfortunately it sometimes takes more than one phone call to connect with the right people at SS to get help. If you can't work it out with SS you might talk to your neurologist about other options.

There are so many drug assistance programs out there for us in the US who are not on medicare/medicaid or live in Massachussetts. I'm thinking it might be helpful to start a thread of some of these so everyone is taking full advantage of the drug companies' generosity. Ok, you know I'm being facetious with that comment - they want us to take their drug and are bribing us to do so by helping with the copay.

I am searching out any possibilities for financial assistance for a patient with multiple nonunion compression fractures of mutliple thoracic vertebra the worst being T6. His care includes Fentanyl 100mcg/hr patches being changed every other day. His insurance has lapsed and the pain in unbearable. What financial assistance is out there for this patient?
