I am 3 years post breast cancer i had lumpectomy chemo rads i have taken tamoxofen for 2,5 years now on aromasil i had a bone density scan and was told i had low calcuim levels, now on calcuim sandox and actonel asked if i had osetoprosis and was told no have read around actonel and have not taken it yet as of the side effects please can you advice thanks.

I take once monthly Actonel. While I was pushing the pill through the foil blister, it broke. I did not take that pill for fear that it could cause stomach problems. My question is would it have been safe to take? Also, if I contact Proctor & Gamble, do you think they might replace the pill. If it was a daily pill, I wouldn't worry about, but I just lost a whole month of medicine due to a faulty package design.

i currnetly am taking actonel for my bones the past 3 years and klonopin i per night and take alot of vitamins such as B compex etc. no alcohol consumption but i do smoke half a pack of cigarettes per day no other medical conditions known 6 months ago all my blood workups were normal . I am just tired of taking medicenes that seem to cause other problems. I think I have the GERD from taking Actonel even though I followed the instructions to the letter for taking the Actonel. No longer take it. Just take calcium.

However, in a person with GERD, who is on acid-suppression meds, but who may or may not be following a GERD diet, who may or may not be taking meds for other conditions (and those meds may impact the gastritis, etc), it may be weeks, to months, to years for gastritis to clear up, unfortunately. It's a very individual thing, and something that can be very hard to predict.

I have gastritis (caused by autoimmune pernicious anaemia) but it's asymptomatic. My mother on the other hand has had VERY painful gastritis (due to bile sneaking into her stomach - bile gastritis). It was by accident actually that she found out betaine HCL with pepsin supplements and digestive enzyme supplements got rid of gastritis pain. She was takes both supplements to prevent severe GERD but the bonus was gastritis pain slowly went away (took a year).

I have taken somany tests including endoscopy, scanning etc., other than this gastritis i didn't get any other disease. So this frequent stomach pain, motions, back pain body pain etc., all are because of gastritis only or are there any chance of other diseases also?

I am a health 24 year old female but have reciently been diagnosed with gastritis. I have had it for about 6 weeks now. i have had blood test done and and ultrasound- both coming back normal. I am so ill i find it difficult to drink water let alone eat and am rapidly losing wieght. i have been put on 20mg omeprazole a day and anti neasea pills but they havent made much of a difference. im going back to my GP on Monday to get a referal to a gastroenologist.

Hello I was diagnosed with gastritis, im on kapidex have been for about 2 months now, and still nothing, it keeps coming back. i have had an upper gi done a cat scan and blood work and supposively they all showed up normal. im thinking that my stomack doctor is starting to be wrong because it keeps coming back. I have gastritis and fibroImilgia (sorry I can;t spell). When I drink alcohol or take asprin or pain killers. I get alot of bile flowing. You might want to ask your pharmacist for more specific directions as far as the timing of your meds. I take Actonel once a month and my pharmacist said it was fine to take it at the same time as my levothyroxine since Actonel is also supposed to be taking first thing in the morning. Don't mix meds unless you get an all clear from a pharmacist.

I have taken fosamax and actonel and have had stomach problems and aching bones. My doctor is thinking about the yearly injection of reclast. How safe is it and will I have more problems with my bones aching - I can't sleep at night a lot from the pain.
