actonel fever

I am having fever at every Thursday that goes after taking paracetomol till Sunday. My whole weekend is going of like this since a month. It is making me weak. Doctor gave me an antibiotic but again next week it recurs. Body aches mostly knees and ankles [ i suffer through osteoporosis and joint pains too but the pains were not troublesome earlier] Can anyone tell is it viral or anything else.

I am 3 years post breast cancer i had lumpectomy chemo rads i have taken tamoxofen for 2,5 years now on aromasil i had a bone density scan and was told i had low calcuim levels, now on calcuim sandox and actonel asked if i had osetoprosis and was told no have read around actonel and have not taken it yet as of the side effects please can you advice thanks.

I take once monthly Actonel. While I was pushing the pill through the foil blister, it broke. I did not take that pill for fear that it could cause stomach problems. My question is would it have been safe to take? Also, if I contact Proctor & Gamble, do you think they might replace the pill. If it was a daily pill, I wouldn't worry about, but I just lost a whole month of medicine due to a faulty package design.

i currnetly am taking actonel for my bones the past 3 years and klonopin i per night and take alot of vitamins such as B compex etc. no alcohol consumption but i do smoke half a pack of cigarettes per day no other medical conditions known 6 months ago all my blood workups were normal . I have taken fosamax and actonel and have had stomach problems and aching bones. My doctor is thinking about the yearly injection of reclast. How safe is it and will I have more problems with my bones aching - I can't sleep at night a lot from the pain. Right hip replacement. I'm on requip, lyrica, cymbalta,celebrex, just starting actonel plus vitamins & calcium. thank you. I'm 76, female. I have osteoporosis of the right hip and osteopenia of the left hip. I have peripheral neuropathy (familial), and two bad knees.

I am just tired of taking medicenes that seem to cause other problems. I think I have the GERD from taking Actonel even though I followed the instructions to the letter for taking the Actonel. No longer take it. Just take calcium.

You might want to ask your pharmacist for more specific directions as far as the timing of your meds. I take Actonel once a month and my pharmacist said it was fine to take it at the same time as my levothyroxine since Actonel is also supposed to be taking first thing in the morning. Don't mix meds unless you get an all clear from a pharmacist.

He wants me to see a rheumatologist but an available appointment will be months away. I am 75 and have been on Vytorin for at least 5 years as well as Actonel. My bone scan last year was good for someone my age. What should I do while waiting to see an arthritis doctor? How serious could this be?

t believe that at my age , this is a huge problem for me. I am taking Paxil and for the last 10 years I was taking Actonel, until my doctor suggested I stop because of medical reports showing after long use, it stops working. I know the 2 problems are not linked, but still remain a concern. Is there a medication to stop me from my late night binges. This is when I eat the most. It seems there would be an appetite supressant that would be helpful.

Suzanne, Happy Birthday! I too often wonder how I got old so fast.lol Time flies I guess. I will check out that website. The drs won't let me take things like actonel or that class of drugs as my osteoporosis affected the bones in my jaw and they are afraid to take the chance as with those drugs there is a risk. I was disappointmented about the forteo. I think that drug is more dangerous than its worth personally. Are you still working as an RN?

it seemed to bother my esophagus (bumping, reflux) so my doctor suggested actonel. i took one pill a week ago and since have had increasing sensation of a lump in my throat, and like I'm full of phlegm that I can't ever swallow down. I can eat so of course I am swallowing. I'm off all drug right now but throat/phlegm sensations feel settled in, especailly bad at night, and are anxiety provoking.

m 40 years old and recently found out that I also have osteo penia in one of the vertabrae in my lower back and my doctor wants me to take Actonel...however, those bone density medications can really exacerbate the reflux problems.

Thank you for the response. I think I have had about every GI test done. Who checks hormonal endocrine imbalances. Metabolic issues, etc? I have had 4 thyroid nodule biopsies done now. I do have severe Osteoporosis and a new Internist I am going to has ordered a new bone density test. I have been having bad neck, low back and hip pain. I don't think my Endo doctor has been following up on that like she should but I won't take Actonel or Fosomax.

They are given generally prescribed orally and include Fosamax, Actonel and Boniva. They can cause some severe stomach distress as they did for my father. When this happens there are injectable forms of bisphosphonates. Ibandronate (Boniva injection) is injected into your vein once every three months, and zoledronic acid (Reclast) is injected once a year. If approved by your physician these treatments do not cause stomach distress and you do not have to remember to take a tablet.

I have had very little problems with Prolia. I've done 4 injections over the past 2 years. Just a little bit of bone pain for the first 2 wks after the injection then, it goes away. That said, unfortunately, for me, my DEXA did not improve and my osteoporosis in my spine (the T-score) did not get better. Now, my doctor is sending me to a 'bone' clinic that apparently specializes in bone disorders such as osteoporosis.

Thank you. Wish I had seen this yesterday as I had an appt. with my GI doctor who says it is IBS but does have me set up for a hydrogen (?) breath test in two weeks. There has been no blood detected in my urine which was checked in the ER twice recently. I have had stools checked, endoscopy and colonoscopy with biopsies. I see an Urologist today and will discuss this with her. I also read today that taking Vit E and Calcium can cause kidney stones.

Actonel, plus Vitamin D3-ANALOG from Denmark for bone re-mineralization (which is not available in the USA yet, but has been used all over Europe with lab proven success), and Crestor for high cholesterol. I had to come to Panama to be diagnosed with Hashi/hypo because my USA family doctor would not run any test except TSH, even though I repeatedly asked him to do the thyroid panel. He said the TSH was normal so no need to test any more.

no its a low grade fever and not dangerous. I would take some tylenol to bring it down the fever and make you feel better. If it continues for more than 2-3 days call dr and inform them and see what they say. If it goes up or you get more symptoms call the dr asap.

I've been feeling icky all day. Threw up this morning because I was so bloated and it was as if my food from last night hadn't digested.. I've been running a fever all day 99.8 degrees fahrenheit.. I've called the doctor and labor and delivery and they say I'm fine still in the safety zone.. I've taken Tylenol around 12 its now going in 4.. And has still yet to go down.. I'm 36 weeks Friday and I'm just worried.. Anyone else have a fever and told not to go in?
