actonel and aspirin

I have osteoporosis of the right hip and osteopenia of the left hip. I have peripheral neuropathy (familial), and two bad knees.

i currnetly am taking actonel for my bones the past 3 years and klonopin i per night and take alot of vitamins such as B compex etc. no alcohol consumption but i do smoke half a pack of cigarettes per day no other medical conditions known 6 months ago all my blood workups were normal . ANY IDEAS WHAT CAN BE GOING ON WITH ME ?

I am 3 years post breast cancer i had lumpectomy chemo rads i have taken tamoxofen for 2,5 years now on aromasil i had a bone density scan and was told i had low calcuim levels, now on calcuim sandox and actonel asked if i had osetoprosis and was told no have read around actonel and have not taken it yet as of the side effects please can you advice thanks.

I take once monthly Actonel. While I was pushing the pill through the foil blister, it broke. I did not take that pill for fear that it could cause stomach problems. My question is would it have been safe to take? Also, if I contact Proctor & Gamble, do you think they might replace the pill. If it was a daily pill, I wouldn't worry about, but I just lost a whole month of medicine due to a faulty package design.

Has anyone ever had their cat on low dose aspirin for a long time? Our twelve year old cat was diagnosed with as heart condition, along with other things. The vet says she'll have to be on heart meds and high blood pressure meds for good, and is considering aspirin, also. He's hesitant because the aspirin can cause other problems. I'm wondering if anyone else has had any experience with a problem like this.

I have read so often that you should not take Plavix and aspirin, but it seems to also be common to prescribe both plavix and aspirin in certain situations. I am worried and confused. Thanks.

I tried taking aspirin with it and it caused me to have internal bleeding, so of course it was discontinued. Now I would only take aspirin if I felt that I was having another heart attack. The latest precaution about Plavix is to not take omeprazole with it (Prilosec, Prevacid or Nexium). Hope that helps, but you really need a cardiologist.

You might want to ask your doctor about taking enteric coated aspirin. Sometimes aspirin can give you stomach problems and some doctors are ok with patients taking enteric coated tabs to prevent that.

Ok so i checked everywhere for baby aspirin but they have none so i got normal which is 300mg and im quartering it of which ends up been 75mg.is this ok?

Well it depends on why you take aspirin and how often and what dosage. It's just a warning that can be overlooked. But if you take aspirin everyday at considerable dose well then you have more concerns but you should not worry about taking aspirin to relievve headache, pain or fever. DO NOT USE ASPIRIN. aspirin is a blood thinner and your blood is thin enough with chemo.... it is DANGEROUS... If you use spices for food that is fine.. ginger can be used sometimes to control nausea. Again DO NOT use anything with out checking with your oncologist.....

You might want to ask your pharmacist for more specific directions as far as the timing of your meds. I take Actonel once a month and my pharmacist said it was fine to take it at the same time as my levothyroxine since Actonel is also supposed to be taking first thing in the morning. Don't mix meds unless you get an all clear from a pharmacist.

I have been on the Baby Aspirin Therapy for one week now and have found that my heart rate has dropped by about 20 beats (normally in the high 90's to low 10's). Even when moving around (100-125), it is staying low (high 80's) which is very unusual for me. Unfortunately, it doesn't stop the palps. Oh well. Also, have headaches and that sick to the stomach feeling. Will this normalize? I'm not too sure about this whole aspirin thing.
