Common Questions and Answers about Yeast infections blisters

yeast-infection

Avatar f tn Blisters are not common with yeast infections. I get yeast infections often. The concern here is that the blisters were "extremely painful" and no testing was done. please switch doctors and get a full STD panel .
Avatar f tn Its not yeast . Yeast doesn't have blisters , I know that for a fact because I've suffered from many yeast infections lasting 3 months+ sounds like either genital warts (which can be lazered off) or herpes which can be itchy in the beginning stages (no cure for that !) Get checked out && find out where your man has been . Best of luck .
Avatar f tn Your vagina should have a smell though, and you should become familiar with the normal smell so that you can tell in the future if it changes. Bacterial vaginosis and yeast infections can arise spontaneously, without sexual activity being involved. Did you check for a tampon? I know it's gross, but if that's your problem it should be an easy fix. You can put gloves on if you're really grossed out by the idea.
Avatar n tn All web searches on yeast/fungus/candida infections in men seem to imply it occurs only on uncircumcised penises. Can it occur at all on a male who is circumcised? If a male has jock itch, can the penis be involved (itching), again -on a circumcised male?
Avatar n tn Hi, I thought it was yeast and self-treated as I've gotten them before. I'm pretty sure its yeast but since posting this I did experience another OB. Initially it started off as a yeast infection and the meds for it stopped the itching and treat it but I realised that the itching persisted and it felt more like how I felt when I had my primary OB. I was still taking the acicyclovir since my first OB around June 8 I've just increased the intake during this OB. I'm treating the Y.
Avatar f tn I recently started birth control and apparently bc can cause yeast infections and rashes can be formed due to yeast infections but I have no symptoms of a yeast infection. I’m very worried, please help!
Avatar m tn Has she visited the gynecologist regarding this? Your best bet at narrowing down the problem would be there. Regular yeast infections might not always be yeast. I don't know what the blisters could be. If she hasn't already, talk to your wife about making an appointment. These symptoms sounds pretty painful and frustrating to have to deal with every time you have sex. She (and subsequently you) shouldn't have to be suffering through it needlessly. Do you use condoms? Lubricant?
Avatar f tn Yes yeast infections can cause cuts as I have chronic yeast infections for over 20 yrs. Cutting out gluten and Dairy helped with that for the most part. It is possible that it could be bacterial vaginosis did she do a swab for that again to see if it went away or not? If it is BV then you would need another antibiotic. So to me it sounds like the skin is sensitive right now and because it is itchy its causing the cuts. Do you have over the counter dufflican?
Avatar f tn I agree, be seen monday for proper testing for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally for starters. do you have a regular partner? have you ever been tested for herpes before?
Avatar n tn More than a year ago I started getting yeast infections after being on antibiotics. In April/07 was the first month that the symptoms were different. ie I had a lot of pain, noticed blisters and the Monostat cream did not clear it up like it did previously. Anyway, I started getting an "outbreak" every 6 weeks. I went to the Dr. in July/07. He looked at the bumps and thought I might have hsv. He admitted he didn't ahve much experience in his practice with it.
Avatar f tn So I've had yeast infections and UTIs and bacterial vaginosis before but never this bad. It itched at first and without thinking I itched the crap out of it (my vulva) and now I'm swollen and I have red painful lesions. I wouldnt call them blisters, more like sore bumps because they do not have puss or anything of that nature. It doesnt itch anymore, its just terribly painful. I also have white discharge, dry, cracked skin on my labia and peeing *****.
Avatar n tn I used anti-yeast infection cream on the skin as i thought it might be thrush related. The doctor said it doesn't look like classical herpes but there was no yest present internally either. Today, now that my period is over, I noticed a clumpy discharge. Also, this morning I rigorously scratched the area, perhaps opening the skin so now it hurts to pee. What is going on???
Avatar f tn ve read a bunch of places that yeast infections can cause blisters of this type if left untreated for too long. should I be worried about herpes?
Avatar f tn Has anyone had multiple yeast/BV infections? I've had 3 so far and I think I'm having another! I'm going to ob tomorrow and I'm sure I'll get some meds. It's frustrating. Anyone Else?!?! Please help.
Avatar f tn A swab of the first lesion (tiny paper cut like cut) was taken within 24 hours of it appearing. Then when the blisters appeared ( a couple days later) a swab was taken of them within 12 hours of them appearing. Both swabs came back positive for HSV1. I've had quite a few vaginal bv and yeast infections over the past few years and am quite familiar with thier symptoms. That said, I will go and get tested for these again.
Avatar f tn I was having servere pain in my middle back in the right side so at 1 am on the 5th I went to the er at that point was 22 weeks and 4 days they admitted me into labor and delivery where they found out the pain was due to a kidney infection they kept me on an IV with antibiotics until I was discharged this morning they sent me home with more antibiotics to take to finish fighting the infection but since I got home this morning my vagina has been kinda itchy when I itch it it hurts could that be a
Avatar f tn go and be seen and get properly tested for yeast and bacterial infections thursday.
Avatar f tn s extreme and not common for yeast infections. You sound like you also may have more going on. A rash like contact dermatitis or yes, a different fungal issue than yeast. You need to go back to your doctor about the sores that are spreading. Are you sexually active?
Avatar f tn Monistat works like a charm for yeast infections! That's what my doctor told me I could take. Just over the counter. He recommended the 7-day treatment. Baby is protected by the bubble she's in, so the medication does not get to him/her. Perfectly safe! Unless as previously said, you have any other complications. I would talk to your doctor before you do anything. And like they said, anti biotics are needed for a bacterial infection. Good luck!
Avatar n tn In your case, you have not mentioned any of these. I would say that yeast infections or a localized bacterial infection may be likely as you are engaged in outdoor activities and likely sweats a lot. Mild irritation and injury in the area may also increase the chance of getting bacterial or fungal skin infections. Do keep us posted regarding your progress.
Avatar f tn I'm 36 weeks pregnant. I gotten alot of yeast infections during my pregnancy. probably around 4 , Ive just got treated for one but I believe I got another again.
Avatar f tn It was just red mainly from scratching. I treated myself with a 3 day yeast infection kit that didnt seem to do anything. This itching and burning lasted about 8-10 ten days. I'm not sure what to think since there were never any bumps, sores, or blisters. Yes, I'm sexually active so I know its possible it could have been herpes. I've been tested for all curable stds and they all came back negative. Is this a usual sign of herpes...meaning no bumps, sores, or blisters?
Avatar f tn I am almost done with the antibiotics for yeast and bv infections but still have itching, burning, and tingling down there. My doctor called me yesterday with results and said everything came back negative expect for cold sores. She said it's a very common thing for everyone to have. I understand cold sores is a strain of Herpes (HSV -1) so is it possible that my test for HSV-2 is a false negative. Did I test too early? I appreciate any input anyone has.
Avatar f tn hello...dosomebody kknow...diferents between-yeast infection and bacterial vaginosis?
