Please help. on 11/16 I got a yeast infection that lasted 1 week prior to my period prior to my period. By 11/30 i got a sore throat which lasted for 30 hours. I then did a self examination of my throat and found white patches on my left tonsil. On 12/03 I went to the ER. The doctor said that he believed it was Tonsillitis. He did a culture to check for strep throat. The results were negative. He prescribed amoxicillin 500 mg 3 times a day.
Hi, Just a query about male yeast infections. I suspect that this is what my bf has, I've been hunting around the net and all the symptoms seem to fit, not to mention that we have unprotected sex and I am prone to getting them. But no two web sites seem to mention all the same symptoms, which is quite frustrating. So what I wish to know is, can yeast infections cause it to sting when you pee? Dr told him it was a bladder infection, but that was a few mnths ago and the ab's have done nothing.
Did you go to be seen and get properly tested for yeast or did you just think it was yeast and self treat? Most folks don't have easily recognizable triggers for herpes actually. Only time will tell if you will notice any patterns to yours.
many things can cause genital issues including yeast infections from antibiotics. there are also some issues that can cause this that occur after viral infections too ( the type that frequently cause upper respiratory infections ). at this point she'll need to be seen again. they need to look past herpes since she isn't sexually active and start doing a more thorough work up.
Yes yeast infections can cause cuts as I have chronic yeast infections for over 20 yrs. Cutting out gluten and Dairy helped with that for the most part. It is possible that it could be bacterial vaginosis did she do a swab for that again to see if it went away or not? If it is BV then you would need another antibiotic. So to me it sounds like the skin is sensitive right now and because it is itchy its causing the cuts. Do you have over the counter dufflican?
Your vagina should have a smell though, and you should become familiar with the normal smell so that you can tell in the future if it changes. Bacterial vaginosis and yeast infections can arise spontaneously, without sexual activity being involved. Did you check for a tampon? I know it's gross, but if that's your problem it should be an easy fix. You can put gloves on if you're really grossed out by the idea. You should see a doctor before resuming sexual activity, just to be safe.
I've read a bunch of places that yeast infections can cause blisters of this type if left untreated for too long. should I be worried about herpes?
The thing is that only up until about six months ago, I have only had maybe 3 yeast infections in my entire life (I always got BV instead). Now, not only do things not feel right down there, but my discharge is slightly different too. It's very, very frustrating! My primary OB told me that I may have dyspuraneia (sp) due to the vaginal tear (ulcer). Sex isn't painful, it's the afterwards part that stinks- the swelling, raw feeling and tenderness near the posterior fourchette area.
It seems like syphilis could theoretically explain the blisters/mouth sores, but not the scrotal tingling, and yeast the exact opposite. I would've thought herpes would show up for sure by now in a blood test, and cause more itching/pain than it has. 3. Is constant scrotal tingling a sign of herpes? It seems like that should only be happening during a prodrome, but I've read in some other people's herpes stories that they too experienced that for awhile after being infected. 4.
I used anti-yeast infection cream on the skin as i thought it might be thrush related. The doctor said it doesn't look like classical herpes but there was no yest present internally either. Today, now that my period is over, I noticed a clumpy discharge. Also, this morning I rigorously scratched the area, perhaps opening the skin so now it hurts to pee. What is going on???

Another question is am I supposed to feel any different after clearing it up? I hear Yeast Infections affects lifestyle and I've had it for a few month I don't notice anything different. Best Regards, Michael PS: I have Crohn's Disease (auto-immune disease) so that may be the reason I got Yeast Infection in the first place.
Both toddlers butt cheks are filled with these bumps. At first I thought it was a yeast infection because it started on my two year old who does get them when she has dairy, now my 3 year has them too and no cream or remedy seems to be working. I've tried neosporin, triple antibiotic, butt paste, vagisil, air drying, soap and water, etc. Any ideas as to what this could be???? My husband also has 2-3 bumps too, his are gone now. The babies have hundreds...
Hi: From the scenario you describe, it is highly unlikely that you have herpes. It sounds more to me like you weren't completely over your yeast infection and probably not lubricated very well while having intercourse with your partner. Could even be associated with the shaving as well. I wouldn't worry too much, but if it bothers you, go to the doc and have it checked out.
All web searches on yeast/fungus/candida infections in men seem to imply it occurs only on uncircumcised penises. Can it occur at all on a male who is circumcised? If a male has jock itch, can the penis be involved (itching), again -on a circumcised male?
He told me to start using myconazole cream twice a day (don't laugh but it's used for vaginal yeast infections ... o.k.... go ahead and laugh ROFL!). I started doing this and then at night before I go to bed I use an ointment called PureLan100 (100% lanolin ointment) that a hospice nurse gave me. It took a couple of weeks but it did clear up for me. I stopped doing this ritual and it came right back so I continue to do it so I don't look like I have clown lips. Mouse P.S.
I am a 35 year old female that has been having monthly yeast infections since I was first pregnant with my daughter 6 years ago. They happen every time during midcycle, I develop a rash of red circles on my body, cracked corners on my facial lips, that eventually form clear blisters and a yeast infection on my vagina, that results in a bright red rash, then turns white and some clear blisters arrive. I have been tested for both types of Herpes, HIV, etc. and the results were negative.
Sometimes the use of antibiotics is a definite no-no. Fungal Infections - Like yeast infections. This is an area of great disagreement. In general, yeast infections should be treated locally and with probiotics. If they are out on the skin, generally topical treatment is enough. These should not be suspected of causing a relapse. Parasitic infection of the bowel - Many of these cause enormous stimulation of the immune system.
I am worried I might have acquired Herpes, although I have not had any characteristic blisters. So, I have a question I can't seem to get straight about initial Herpes outbreaks: Can an initial, symptomatic, outbreak result in a rash on the scrotum and thighs only (i.e. no blisters at all)? I find conflicting info on this. People on these forums have suggested Herpes could be a culprit for any sort of genital irritation since it affects people so differently.
i keep thinking its herpes but i read everywhere that when you fist come in contact with the herpes virus that it takes 2-20 days to have an outbreak. i have also read that you can get blisters from yeast infections (in server cases) the only person i could have gotten this from is my boyfriend but he took a std test prior to our relationship and has been with no one since. i have no fever or back pain or anything.
over the past couple of days i have been getting these blisters, that when they are popped this clear liquid comes out. These blisters are on the palm of my hand. They are very small and in a group. some are single and others are packed together. there only on my hands not on any other part of my body. If anyone knows of has experience this before plz a comment it would be greatly appriciated.
i read a little about herpes and yeast infections. i am very prone to yeast infections thats y im thinking about that as well. i get them with antibiotics or changes of soaps or ne thing little like that. i just have never had sores. i have in fact though had the slight cuts around the vaginal opening. wat do you think it cld be??
I am 27 year old female and have had these blisters on feet since i was 16. They start up small then getting bigger as the liquid fills up. At that point the pressure is too much then it bursts. After it drains and the skin is peeled, you can see a tiny hole that seems to lead into the flesh. The blisters are painless and do not stop me from walking around but the few times that it has gotten infected, it has caused me great pain.
Blisters are not common with yeast infections. I get yeast infections often. The concern here is that the blisters were "extremely painful" and no testing was done. please switch doctors and get a full STD panel .
relax yeast infection is painful, think of it as when your throat hurts but now put that pain in your penis. Same thing ok, well the difference is herpes causes blisters and a yeast infection pain and swell, thats wat all infections cause, if u dont feel that then your most liekly clear. Please rest plenty, and I hope i was of some help bye.
I've read that some males have had success with monistant (which is used for female yeast infections). You can also put baby powder down there to try and keep it dry.

Also, the girl that I had the encounter with has chronic yeast infections. I have no external symptoms. There is no rash, no bumps, and no blisters in the genital area. The only symptom is irritation that feels like it's "inside" the penis, in the urethra. This irritaion occurs daily, but is not constant. There is no discomfort during urination. What do you feel is the most likely cause of this? Thank you for any help.
