Avatar f tn I will go back to using botox for my migraines now that I'm SVR, but I think to use the drug in a party format invites abuse and just for people to forget that it IS a drug. It has great promise for people with neurological issues and works great for wrinkles too, but I wouldn't feel very comfortable using it outside my doctor's office.
601038 tn?1240252893 At least we can laugh lol Im glad I have company in that department. My mother has a very rare desease that makes her neck shake all the time. She takes botox injections in her neck and it helps a lot but it's for medical reasons. Im waiting for them to come out with a new study saying how bad it is. I figure if I get wrinkles I earned them, no big deal. Some people are so vane.
401095 tn?1351391770 I have desperately wanted to try Botox for my migraines but ins. doesn't cover. Please let me know how it works for you. I know you are not getting it in your head but I'm curious as to how well it works in the body in general. Good luck to you and I truly hope you find relief.
Avatar n tn Hello, The advertised creams have not proved in efficacy to tackle under eye wrinkles. For undereye wrinkles, botox shots and collagen fillers have proven to be very effective and hence I suggest you to consult a dermatologist and discuss it in detail. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar f tn am I going to take some *hit over this one but yes I have used Botox a few times for my forehead wrinkles but I wear bangs so not something I will do again ... and during one of my daughter's stints in rehab I had my eyes done. I did it because I was so tired of people saying "are you tired" " you look tired" "are you not sleeping?" Well no as a matter of fact my daughter is an oxy addict and I haven't slept in months!!
1663373 tn?1333635989 I had to share that I had botox injections for headaches yesterday (no they didn't take out any wrinkles). It was 32 injections around my head and neck and my NL whom I love and have so much respect and trust for told me not to expect anything for 5 days well I felt better today than I have felt in forever!! The pain and muscle tension is not completely gone but the change in myself is huge. I am praying that it continues to get better.
1068968 tn?1256169388 Saw my NL yesterday. He's awesome and we're working together to try to keep me out of the OR. He's done studies on Botox injections for headaches and has had very good results with this on all types of patients (migraine, Chiari, brain trauma, cancer patients, etc). Our goal is to control my symptoms and keeps me out of pain as much as possible so I can remain functioning and narcotic free. Has anyone tried Botox? I'm still researching it myself.
Avatar f tn Hello. I recently (2 wks ago) recieved a minimal amount of botox in my forehead. I knew at the time that I wanted to get pregnant soon & researched the risks but couldn't get any clear info on whether or not it would be harmful to a fetus if I recieved the botox BEFORE actually getting pregnant. The Dr. who injected the botox seems to believe that it is safe for me to try & get pregnant right away. Now that I have had it I feel that it was a mistake.
Avatar f tn I am so glad I finally made the connection of Botox to hairloss. I went without Botox for almost 12 months because of the pandemic. I thought staying home and being more relaxed was making my ebrows and eyelashes grow again. My eyebrows thickened up and were dark- they were amazing and my lashes grew in and were long. I had Botox just before Christmas and have noticed my ebrows literally shedding. They are sparse and I have had to fill them in with liner. I think I am done with Botox.
Avatar f tn Other treatment methods include prescription acid creams or peels, stronger retinoids such as Retin A, Botox( botulinum toxin) ,non invasive or carbon dioxide laser and a surgical facelift. 333144 tn?1314271378 I see tha adds for cellulite and wrinkles and I keep wanting to erase the wrinkles of the ladies face with my mouse. I am so easily distracted and easily amused I guess.
212161 tn?1599427282 carried on with it myself. They are not as strong but do keep skin fresh looking. I dont think it does much for wrinkles, just gives a fresh look. I have had botox, it is almost painless, iv had it many times & it is definately worth it.
1913502 tn?1330388192 Botox is not a solution for dry skin although it does plump up those wrinkles temporarily. Personally, I don't think it's a good idea during tx to add something toxic to our bodies including our skin. Botox is made from botulism. The best thing you can do besides drinking lots of fluids is keep using moisturizer, wear a hat, cover up and use sun block while in the sun. I found rosehip seed oil to be great for my face.
Avatar n tn The doctor will remove a layer of skin so that the new layer can thrive and fill in the wrinkles or spots. During the consultation, the doctor will observe your skin tone which determines the correct laser needed to eliminate your age spots. You will have to give it at least a month for the results to show because the skin cell turn-over time is about 28 days. ref:http://www.articlesbase.com/medicine-articles/laser-resurfacing-for-age-spots-and-brown-spots-472827.
Avatar f tn Hello, Retin A is tretinoin which is basically used for acne and it may cause dermatitis, redness, irritation, genitourinary, hepatic, ocular and nervous side effects. I suggest you to consult a dermatologist before using it for wrinkles. You can also go in for botox treatment. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn I'm the Mom of a 19-year old who has endured severe chronic pain 24/7 since age 14 1/2. Eventually diagnosed with RND (subset of RSD), which I think now is classified as CRPS-I, he (we) have tried almost everything except the most-invasive stuff. His pain is in both knees. His best results have come from physical therapy. He does 2-3 hours of a specific program daily just to maintain function; it does not reduce the pain at all however.

Avatar f tn Over one year my skin has become a bag of wrinkles - my facem my arms my legs - basically all over. THis is very depressing as I seem to be withering much faster than all my contemporaries. Yet I have always been conscientious about exercising and eating the right foods. Can anyone shed any light on this or is there no solution to this deterioration? ... I am 54.
Avatar f tn Hello, Apply calamine lotion and good quality moisturizers on the face. If the wrinkles persist then botox injections and collagen filling or laser treatment may have to be tried. For this I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist.
