The skin is also hyperpigmented in spots, flaky and has similar texture to elephant skin (wrinkled and swollen). He also has a sweet horrible odour (especially earss) so I'm assuming a yeast infection. Not the thumbs, and only marginally with the 2 forefingers, but the other 3 fingers are quite wrinkled on each hand and think it varies during the day. No other symptoms so far as I'm aware. Just the fingertips and nowhere else, not even my toes. Indeed, I'm in my 50's but my skin is generally smooth elsewhere. I do wash my hands excessively many many times a day. After I take a bath or go swimming, my hands get extemely wrinkled. i know that its normal for your hand to get that way but mine is different. they wrinkle up SO much that they feel scaly. They also feel dry and tight. My mom says it could just be dehydration and that i should drink more water, but i have been drinking plenty lately. After that swine flu alert, i started using hand sanitizer. Could the hand sanitizer be the thing that effeecting my hands this way?

Ok, so this is my second post, and hopefully I'll get an answer. I tried a home remedy of using apple cider vinegar to remove the small wart on my nose. Unfortunately, I covered too big of an area (good skin near the wart) and the area got greenish yellow in color. It then peeled off, leaving a small hole behind. Here is a picture. The skin of the hands is usually thinner and more sensitive. It is also frequently exposed to irritants such as cleansers, detergents etc. Is this true in your case? Is there any underlying thyroid or hormone problem?
