What is the difference between xyzal and zyrtec

Common Questions and Answers about What is the difference between xyzal and zyrtec

xyzal

It was $89.00. I asked the pharmacist what the diff was between this and zyrtec....she said that the 2 mirror each other....identical. Biggest difference was the outrageous price. I opted for the zyrtec and had her put the script back in stock.
The advair does not help but I need it anyway for my asthma, and so with rhynocort for my nasal allergies. Zyrtec is what I take for my indoor and outdoor allergies. I am done with Claritin and Alegra which does not help with my allergies. I take vitamins C, Calcium with D, iron, magnesium, and also take Fish oil and garlic pills. Tonight I decided to skip all the pills including vitamins and hopefully the coughing will be less frequent.
I spoke with them a few times and they felt that my sinuses needed to be taken care of and the meds for anxiety- well, I quit them and felt a bit better. Then I was off to ENT. My first thought was- what the heck is going on- I have this bad sinus infection , on meds for that for 20 days- it never goes away- was told to take celexa- (which I took at the same time as the anti-biotic)- and then started having attacks, tingling in my fingers and toes, and then I am being sent to a pyschologists?
I too am hoping that it is approved for chronic uticaria so that we can stop the struggle with insurance companies. The medicine is so expensive and no one could afford the injections without insurance. I only hope I can find the cause of the problem so that I don't have to depend on getting these injections for the rest of my life! I am relieved that I am not alone in this battle and it is nice to hear everyone's experience and possible answers to this horrible curse!
There are really two possibilities for what you all are facing and I'll explain simply. The first is what the symptoms are, and that they are recurring. This leads me to believe it is either something that you are all frequently ingesting, whether through diet or normal breathing, or it is something that is dormant in your cells.
Substances Causing False Positives According to a report by the Los Angeles Times New Service, a study of 161 prescription and over the counter medications showed that 65 of them produced false positive results in the most widely administered urine test.
No matter what time I go to bed, 10pm, 1am, 3am and take my Xyzal and Flucin-cream, I have for the past 6 days woke up between 7:43 and 7:48 am. No alarm, no usual schedule of that, nothing. My current dermotologist takes over a month to get into, and he seems convinced that its an allergy thing and wants to run a allergy test on me. I think it has nothing to do with allergies.
For anyone with exercise-related hives, it seems important for you to distinguish between Cholinergic Urticaria and Exercise-Induced Anaphylaxis (EIA). The latter is less common but can be very dangerous, and may require carrying an Epi-Pen. For those of you who get light-headed or restricted breathing along with your rash you should check this out. Great running article on EIA & CU: http://runningtimes.com/Article.aspx?
For a few weeks now I have woken up with hives on my legs, arms, stomach, and so on. I've tried zyrtec and claritin and neither has really helped. Xyzal seems to work the best. The keep putting me on prednisone, because it is the only thing that will make the hives go away.....I am younger then most of you as I am in middle school......it is so frustrating because I am missing so much school.....any advice???
within days Oh, I should tell you that the itch would move from place to place on my lower arms between the elbow and the wrist and sometimes backs of hands with every episode, different location. It takes a few days to go completely out of the system, but it's worth a try to anyone who has this. Last night, I drank some Kroger generic brand diet lemon-lime soda, thinking MAYBE the Coke brand could be the problem and not the actual aspartame.
This is my second day taking these and the only difference I've noticed is that I don't get the hives on my torso as bad as before although I am still getting them badly on my arms and legs. I'm going to continue with these two supplements on a regular basis in hopes for some improvement. My older brother has this conditin where he can't absorb Vitamin B12 through his stomach and gives himself an injection every month. He never had hives though.
However it is important to realize that there is a difference between a true allergic reaction and a side effect of the medication itself. Antibiotics, as all other medications, have potential effects; both helpful ones like fighting off bacteria and unwanted "side effects". We know that certain antibiotics tend to cause more vomiting, abdominal discomfort and diarrhea than others.
Come to find out, I slow down on my selenium intake, the itch... not so bad and I KNOW that is what it is... The doc was testing me for the flu, in which I knew I didn't have! And then, he calls to tell me he's prescribing an antibiotic because he thinks I have a virus... I refused the antibiotic, searched for a new doctor for future reference and laughed at them.. they thought my selenium poisoning was insane, and they were prescribing a freakin zpac for a VIRUS???
Considering I have had sucralose daily for 6 years I think it will take weeks to detoxify my body. I will post again and give an update. If the sucralose is not the culprit then hopefully the frozen water bottle & cold packs can provide you some relief.
I have been under a lot of stress all year and I don't thing what is going on now is any worse. I wan't to try to get to the botton of this but from commets on the board I don't see any clear coarse of action or known strategy. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear. My email is ***@**** Thanks.
My theory is that our skin is really a little like a dry river bed that cracks when the water drys up. And that the micro-mechanical cracking as our skin drys is what causes our mast cells to degranulate causing the itch. Just wondering if this rings true with the rest of you.
However my experience with doctors so far is that they focus on treating the symptoms first and THEN try to figure out what the cause is. But as is my case it sounds like the doctors can't even figure out how to treat the sypmtoms and may very well never get around to figuring out the cause. We are all on our own in that pursuit and we must continue to communicate our findings and failures to each other.
The newest and most successful product to keep blepharitis under control is TherTears SterLid which both removeds the oil and debris but also is antibacterial. It is over the counter, available on the internet. (disclaimer-I have no financial interest in this product). Works better than baby shampoo.
SEE YOUR DOCTOR to determine if the above regimen is safe and proper for you, especially the oral benedryl as the dosage is above the recommended amount. Do NOT do this regimen while taking Doxepine also. Partial relief should begin within 5 minutes, complete relief when the combined effect of the oral benedryl kicks in (20-30 minutes). Relief from the itching should last approx 3 to 6 hours. All the benedryl WILL make you sleepy.
I have now gone about 30 hours without touching my ears and it has been extremely difficult, because the itch is close to unbearable at times, and it is especially difficult at night because I get woken up by the intense itch and I have to remember to just bear it. I don't know how long it will take or whether it will even work, but I am going to give it my best shot. I was able to quit smoking many years ago, and I can telll you that this is just as difficult, if not more so.
I have been keeping a candle burning all day and it seems to mask it and at least the odor is some better than smoke...Let us know what the test shows. Gool luck and God Bless!
