The acid reflux is a big problem for me too. I am still tapering Pantoprazole but acid reflux is there and most likely caused by the multiple medications I am taking. I am taking Pantoprazole and all other medications in the morning/except the statin/, Plavix at noon and Ranitidine at night. Horrible coctail and there is no escape:) Please, let me know how your blood work went.

So here's my story. I never had heartburn before in my life. I was prescribed 40mg of prednisone for 5 days and was never told to take an antacid or ppi while I was on it. Fast forward to the 6th day I was woken up to chest pain and my heart fluttering. I wasn't sure what it was and couldn't fall back asleep until hours later. I went to the ER two days later for the chest pain and they gave me an oral steroid to take along with 2 weeks worth of famotodine to take.

It is not all the time, mostly in the evenings. I do not know what is causing this but i wonder would it be the fact that an not eating much in the last two weeks. (I am not starving myself) i am just VERY VERY worried about something and can not eat. I am eating 1 meal every 1-2 days. Would not eating cause my symptoms?

Hi I am nineteen yrs old and for the past six months I've had pain while urinating and just a month ago foamy urine development. The urinalysis was normal. A renal ultrasound performed was also normal as was the results of a prostate exam. The urologist said not to worry about it. I am being weaned from pantoprazole with ranitidine. It seems that now that we have reached the pantoprazole every third day stage, I am getting weekly bouts of diarrhea, especially if I drink more than one cup of coffee. Is this a side effect? The diarrhea wakes me at night.

The gastro report says they biopsied a polyp in my stomach which was benign, and they found my stomach acid is too high in my osophogis (sp). Doctors prescribed to many antibiotics which led to my acid reflux. I used to have diarrhea 5-6 times a day if I ate a meal or if I ate a meal late. Is it common for pylori to cause such persistent diarrhea? I did a colonoscopy and an endoscopy. The intestines were fine but I was told I have gastritis. I have also been informed I have GERD and iron deficiency anemia. Starting to think this might be chrons. Been on pantoprazole. I've improved but I still get diarrhea maybe 1-2 times a day and its been at least 10 months since my eradication. Any suggestions?
