when i finish the bottle i have she is putting me on wellbutrin xl///her plan is that by upping the wellbutrin i will finally be able to get off prozaci have gone from 60 mg prtozac to 10 mg but cant seem to get off it and i hjate it,its killed my sex drive. Wellbutrin XL is a time released medication lasting 12 to 24 hours depending on which one you are on. You do not want to chew this medication as it could cause other problems. Tell your brother that this medication could make him very sick. It is not perscribe for him. It is not a recreational drug. If your afraid your brother may take them, hide them where he can't find them.
Did you taper off the Wellbutrin or just stop?
You're not supposed to just stop that. You should taper off. I don't know anything about Cymbalta. The info that comes w/ the script says some about stopping it.
I would google and research some info on the wellbutrin and tapering off it, side effects, etc... You could be having withdrawals from it. I did from stopping too fast.
I had sweats too, more when on it than off, but for awhile too after i stopped.
I was very recently prescribed Wellbutrin XL, after trying several medications that have not helped [including Wellbutrin SR]. When I saw my doctor, she simply said 'I'm putting you on Wellbutrin twice daily' and I assumed it would be the SR. But what I was given was XL, with the instructions to take it twice a day [morning and around noon]. My doctor's office is closed today, or I would have asked her. I did ask the pharmacist, and he said that yes, this is okay.
My dr, said she looked it up in her book, and Wellbutrin XL 150mg, is only prescribed for SAD and to quit smoking. She did not want to prescribe the XL at all no mater what I said. She prescribed me Regular Wellbutrin 100mg twice per day. I do not want the regular wellbutrin as it will make me shakey, and I will not follow through with taking 2 pills per day...
what is the safest way to wean off wellbutrin 300 xl?
About 3 days ago my doctor added wellbutrin 150 mg XL for four days then 300 mg XL after that to help with my depression following the loss of my dad. My question is I only have about 6 days more of the xanax will i be addicted after taking them for that short of a time? I never take them during the day. I am afraid to stop until I see how the 300 mg of wellbutrin in gonna effect my sleep.
Can you please tell me if Wellbutrin XL will help with anxiety issues. Or can the medication Cymbalta be of better use?
Hi. I take 60mg cymbalta. 1mg Ativan. And 150mg xl wellbutrin. I'm kinda not happy cymbalta is very impossible to get off of. But. It's the only drug that worked and no side affects. I've been on everything over 20 yrs. suddenly developing panic attacks ,anxiety and depression. Maybe Iam wrong but would like off the cymbalta but how ? Plus I do suffer scalp issues and hair loss and it drives me nuts.
Hello, i was taking Wellbutrin Xl 300mg for 2 yrs. the last 6 months i was taking a generic brand. However, i became very depressed i the last 2 months. i was hospilized 3 weeks ago. They took me off of Wellbutrin and now i take Celexa and Remeron. However, i dont like their side effects. So today i switched back to Wellbutrin. Can i do this? i took it around 9:20am this morning, then 20 min later i began to feel lightheaded and my heart was racing. Is this normal?
Whenever I try a new drug for symptoms,I always have bad side affects which make me nervous starting anything different. My question is,my Dr. wants me to ween off Wellbutrin XL 300 to WellbutrinXL 150mg for 14 days and to add Cymbalta 30 mg for 14 days at the same time.Then to increase Cymbalta 60 mg daily and stop Wellbutrin. I've read a lot about Cymbalta and don't know if I should do this.
My doc prescribed Wellbutrin XL since the Lexapro made my depression even worse, excessive sleeping, etc. My question is - can I still take 1 mg of Klonopin to help with anxiety, prevent panic attacks?
I've taken Wellbutrin before for a bad depression and know that it makes a person more energetic but also jittery at times.
Any advice? Could I combine Lexapro 10 mg with the Wellbutrin XL 150 mg?

m on 225 reg. Wellbutrin. The XL, extended release tablets stayed in my system long into the evening strong and kept me from being able to sleep well.
I take it first thing in the morning as soon as I wake up.
Within the last 2 weeks I started tappering off of 75mg Effexor XR, stopped taking my birth control pills, started Metformin for insulin resistance and 150mg Wellbutrin XL. I am doing all of this because my husband and I are trying to have our first child. I suppose it would be best to add that I have taken Effexor XR on and off for the last 5 years, went up and down from 75 to 150. I have a love/hate relationship with this medication.

I was on Wellbutrin xl for about a year but lost my insurance and was unable to afford it. It worked great except for an occasional panic attack. My doctor decided to try some different meds that would be on the walmart generic plan for $4. First it was zoloft that has awful sexual side effects, and in turn would cause problems with my husband. Now I am on celexa which I absolutely HATE!!! I am so tired. I started off on 150 mg generic Wellbutrin XL which was not doing much...so I was upped to 300 mg. The sweating is unbelievable! I wake up in the morning drenched. My doc and pharmacist both say it is a side effect of the Wellbutrin and that it should go away. It's been 3 weeks now and I am still sweating a lot! I take mine at night because I don't want it to affect my sleep. Although I see a lot of people take it morning...so I don't if I should be taking it at night .
Wellbutrin 150 mg xl worked great for me while quitting smoking. Today I am tapering off the wellbutrin and I have 60 quit days from the cigs. I also lost 8 lbs in 2 months, however not sure if it was the xl or sr or even the current 75 mg hcl that I'm currently on now.
