I have been on Vyvanse for a while now. And was worried when they doctor said it was very similar to Adderall XR. But he promised me that the issues I was having with feeling ill, insomnia, and no appitite would lessen on Vyvanse. And that the nasty, gross stimulant feeling I got from Adderall would go away. And he was right about everything and then some. And believe me if there is a side effect to have I will have it.

Has anyone tried the drug vyvance for CFS...it is typically used for ADD. My lyme disease doctor suggested it and says those with lyme disease who suffer with fatigue has benefitted from it. Just wondering if anyone has ever tried it.

He prescribed Vyvanse to take in the morning then before bed I am supposed to take Topamax (migraine medicine) and Trintellix (an antidepressant) as well as a diet. I started on the Vyvanse mostly b/c I also suffer from ADHD and it is really great so far for my attention at work. However I am really leery of taking new meds especially if I do not need them and even so I would like to see how I react to one before taking others on top of it.

My son has been takiing this med Vyvanse for adhd, so I decided to take it to see if it would help me with my depression and anxiety, and it worked great, I didn't have any side effect to it. This is why I ask if its okay to take Vyvanse for my anxiety, right now I'm taking celexa but its not doing nothing for me anymore. I've been taking Celexa for the past 3 yrs and I think its time for me to change my meds.

t tell - there were at least two preschoolers left completely alone (sounds like three preschoolers actually) with no supervision? Good thing they're all still alive. I wouldn't label any of them having "mental issues", but would consider calling CPS on parents who "nap" while children are running around playing doctor in the bathtub.

My 16 year old son has been on vyvanse for 3 weeks. He cannot sleep, the doctor suggested putting him on clonidine to help. Has anyone had any experience with taking clonidine as a sleep aid while on vyvanse? Also, my son is extremely short of breath when doing any physical activity. He takes 50 mg of Vyvanse daily and was wondering if anyone has experienced this side effect with Vyvanse. Thank you.

Hey Linz, my psych had switched me to Vyvanse when it first came out, and at my next appointment I asked to be switched back to Adderral XR. The vyvanse did not work much at all for me, if anything it made me worse. So now I'm back on Adderral, and doing alright, or as alright as I can be doing (unfortunately meds don't make everything ok).

my step son is supposed to take vyvanse and clonidine, but he has been out of vyvance for 3weeks now and seems fine taking only clonidine.

The problem is that my doc prescribed me 60 30mg capsules so im trying to figure out how many 30 mg capsules is 70 mg vyvanse which i know that a 30mg vyvanse is 10mg adderall and 70 mg vyvanse is 30mg adderall.Is 7 30mg vyvanse capsules 70mg dose .I switched from taking 30mg adderall twice a day im going to have to call doc tommorroww.Any help in figuring this out .Thank you Im trying to get 70 mg vyvanse out of these 30mg capsules 1 70 mg or 1 60 is the right dose for me.

If you have ADHD and a prescription - no worries even if it does show up. If you don't ....then this search showed that, "Vyvanse is detectable in urine up to 3 days after ingesting Vyvanse. Vyvanse is detectable in hair samples for months after ingestion. Though Vyvanse itself only stays in your system four hours post-ingestion, the active drug d-amphetamine stays in your system for 40 hours.

i have a 5 year old boy that currently has adhd, but for the past three weeks he has become very very defeint some time to the point that he gets aggressive, could he have odd along with his adhd, right now he is on 40mgs per day of vyvanse for adhd. his doc, gave him .1mg of clonidine to help with his aggreesion. does clonidine help with odd??how long does it take to see improvements??

My husband took Vyvanse for 14 months for adult ADHD. Vyvanse is not a good medicine for people with high blood pressure and you might talk with your doctor and see if there are alternatives. Beta blockers do antagonize the effects of vyvanse. Maybe a calcium channel blocker or an ACE inhibitor would be better--but first check and see if Vyvanse is a must for you.

But if sge is abusing it she will likely start to complain about having an extremely high tolerance for the vyvanse...

Has anyone experienced this? I also noticed that Vyvanse lasts about 6 hours for me so my Doctor gave me 20 mg Adderral to take in the morning and then I take the Vyvanse in the afternoon. I am also trying to quit chewing and was wondering if nicotine has an effect when taking these medications? It seems when I take Adderral or Vyvanse the cravings increase! If he truly displays these conditions, he may well require pharmacological treatment, so it is not a good idea to take him off. However, having said that, Vyvanse is an unusual choice for such a young child, and Abilify is an unusual choice to treat generalized anxiety. I would suggest that you obtain a second opinion.

On the drug test aspect, Vyvanse is out of your system exponentially faster than Adderall. The half life of V is 47 minutes compared to a half life of 9-14 hours for Adderall. Example for those unaware how half-lifes of drugs work. 2 subjects; 1 takes 30mg of V, other takes 30mg of Adderall at 12pm.
