Venlafaxine tablets

Common Questions and Answers about Venlafaxine tablets

I am taking modified release venlafaxine tablets and have recently noticed that I am passing the tablet undigested. Also, the white powder is still in the casing. I have read up on the side effects and it explains that it's normal to find the tablet, but it dosen't say anything about the powder remaining in the casing. I'm worried that i'm not getting maximum benefit from the medication!
i have been on 225mg Venlafaxine for nearly 3yrs now. I dont find that the tablets help my depression at all and i would like to try someting else. However i have already tried most anti-depressants and anxiety tablets with little results. Is there any new medications that i could try? Also for the last few weeks i have started to get withdrawal symptoms although i have taken the correct dosage everyday. I have in the past ran out of my meds and been very ill as a result.
Hi, if you are excreting the tablets as such it means you are not digesting the tablets. You will need to consult your doctor to rule out malabsorption syndromes. Blood tests will help detect infections, besides stool examination which will reveal fat malabsorption. Bacterial overgrowth is tested with a breath test. Please discuss these issues with your primary care physician when you happen to meet him. regards.
Knew going totally cold turkey wouldn't exactly be the cleverest thing to do, so instead of removing granules gradually from the 75mg capsules, which I've now read a lot of people have had to resort to doing, I found some old 37.5mg tablets, and took those for two weeks, before finally running out, and stopping totally. I'd started to experience very frightening and vivid dreams, a couple of days after dropping down to the lower dosage, but nothing much else aside from that.
ive been on venlafaxine over 3 yrs, 150mg. recently ive been recomended to try a colon cleanse for my candida, and need to no if taking it will be ok with the venlafaxine ? its contents are magnesium oxide, its called oxy powder a colon cleanser. any advice will be good , thanks.
Can I take 2 75mg tablets of Venlafaxine HCL (not ER) at night? What might be the problems with doing this? My prescription says 1 at night, 1 in morning. I had started this prescription 2-3 months ago and stopped because they made me very sleepy durng the day. I'm starting again and can already feel the 1 75mg pill taking effect (I had stopped any antidepressants for 3 months but now determined I had better start again). Thank You.
I hav taken Effexor Hcl 150 mg generic called Venlafaxine HCL ER Capsules 150mg, for years. A new doc wrote for the same medication in tablet form by mistake instead of the caps. Will it work the same for me?
first day I tarted it I was a bit nervous and what not, the doctor has me on 75 mg tablets 2 times daily. So I took 1 tablet yesterday morning, I was nervous about it, just afraid of any negative side effects. then throughout the day I felt okay. then I took it at night, went out to the store, came home, laid down, and started having a panic attack, first day on the meds so thats understandable. Then this morning I wake up, take it at 11:00 am. I've felt anxious ever since.
I am a 21 year old male who has been lowering my dose of Venlafaxine slowly, i took it down to 75mg a few months ago and stopped taking them a few days ago... I am still getting those "head shocks". How long is this going to last? In two days i have a very important showcase gig with my band. Freaking out here, i need to be able to function. What should i do?
Ive been on Venlafaxine for about 2 years. Im now down to 37.5 every other day, which I know is an incredibly low dose, but if I try going any longer without them I get the dizziness or brain shivers. As others will know - its awful! I lasted about 4 days before, but the dizziness did not let up for the whole 4 days, so I gave in and took a tablet - the dizziness stopped within 30 mins!
I've been on venlafaxine for about 5 years now and it has largely been a success. However, recently the pharmacy had changed the branding of venlafaxine quite regularly. It has gone from 37.5 mg Effexor to Teva and now to Viepax. These are the standard release tablets not XL or XR. I sometimes feel that it makes a difference when I do change but could be more psycho sematic. Are these brands the same tablet or does it make a difference?
Does anyone take any of the meds larazapam or venlafaxine? i am on them and wondered if anyone gets side effects and also i dont feel i'll ever be able to come off larazapam because my anxiety is so bad if i dont have it. 25, 37.5, 50, 75, and 100. Also, the extended release forms of Venlafaxine capsules come in many strengths too: 37.5, 75, and 150. Most of the tablet forms will contain Lactose and Gluten. Some of the extended release capsules do not contain neither Gluten nor Lactose. It will help me very much, if I know the dosage form and strength. We might be able to find you a supplier that do not use Lactose and Gluten in its Venlafaxine. Thanks and be well.
Take Cuprofen 400mg tablets for headaches, no problem as quickly hit the spot. Not heard as to whether one should be cautious about painkillers as take mirtzapine & venlafaxine (aka califionia rocket fuel) myself.
I am happy to hear from you again. Reclipsen tablets contain Lactose. Both the white active tablets, and the green inert tablets contain Lactose, but no Gluten. We carry the "Paddock" brand of "Polyethylene Glycol 3350 Powder for Solution 527 GM". There is no Lactose or Gluten in it. The "D-Amphetamine Salt Compound XR 10 MG" capsules that we carry at Walgreens do not contain neither Lactose nor Gluten.
I have seen my doctor about these symptoms but they seem to put it to stress and possible side effects from my tablets. It gets so bad where I can't take my son on a short walk to nursery and have to take a cab. Can you help? Thank you.
Firicet: 2 tablets every 4 hours clonazepam: 1mg. tablets a day; x3 a day venlafaxine: 1 150mg. tablet a day gabapentin: 300mg. tablets a day; x2 a day ambien: 1 10mg. tablets at night prazosin: 1mg. tables at night; x2 a night ------------------------------------------------ What kind of physical and mental reaction can one experience while taking these heavy medications?
My doctor looks like a mad scienstist with his white coat and wiry hair sticking out either side of his otherwise bald head. "Venlafaxine is not addictive" he tells me cheerfully "Only 3 in 10 patients experience discontinuation symptoms". This is the same doctor who told me to give up smoking by eating an apple every time I craved a cigarette. I am worried. In desperation I cut my remaining tablets in half, and take half a tablet a day before stopping altogether.
I usually take Effexor (venlafaxine) tablets. When i picked up my prescription last time I was given Viepax instead of Effexor. Presumably these are a cheaper generic version but are the ingredients identical? Eloise.
Their goal is not to eliminate hot flashes altogether but to diminish their intensity and frequency. Vitamin E 800IU daily, Vitamin B6 200mg daily or Peridin-C 2 tablets 3 times a day, are over the counter agents that may be of help. There has been some research with the use of the medications; venlafaxine (effexor) an anti-depressant, bellergal and clonidine, for treatment of hot flashes, these would need to be prescribed by your physician.
I am taking one capsule effexor xr(venlafaxine) 150mg & Neuxam(alprazolam) 0.5 mg 1 & 1/2 tablet at night prescribed by Psychiatrist for about 12 days for anxiety and my condition has improved a little bit as I am starting to have a good mood.My urine color has changed to dark and I have nause. Before starting the medicine I had upset stomach, gas & acidity. Is my dark urine color due to the medication? should I stop the medicine?
1 tablet - 75 XR 1 tablet - 150 XR 1 tablet - 37.5 venlafaxine hydrochloride (??) The thing is that in the last months the pharmacy didn't get the 75 XR for some reason so I was given only the other two. Well, I haven't paid much attention to that and I just started cutting the pills "happily". That is until today, at the pharmacy, when the pharmacist told me I can't do it because it nullifies the extended release effect and pour it in my bloodstream uncontrolled.
Vitamin E (up to 1200 IU a day) , Vitamin B complex 200mg daily , Peridin-C 2 tablets 3 times a day or ibuprophen. Black cohosh has also been used but has estrogenic properties that may not be recommended for women with a history of breast cancer. Their goal is not to eliminate hot flashes altogether but to diminish their intensity and frequency.

The name is venlafaxine hcl 37.5 mg tablets, my doctor gave me a low does because i did not want any thing that strong, because i take enough pills that make me sleepy. Does any one know about these pills; if so pleases let me know if you ever taken them before .
I got them from abroad and my doctor does not know I am on them. I also take Venlafaxine 75 mg morning and 37.5 mg at night. My question is how do I wean off the diazepam. My tablets cannot be separated as they are in capsule form. I really want to stop them but cannot visit my doctor. Could I just stop taking them? Or take them every other night for a week and then stop? Your advice would be valuable.
