thankyou,i am with contact of my doctor ,he said there is no solution for damaged vertibras,but calcium and vitiman d and alendronate sodium/cholecaiciferol tablets will help spine and bones from further damages but what to do with prednisones i cant stop them because of asthma and taking of them will damage other bones isnt there any other solution instead of prednisones, i know there is nothing accept these because my doctor told me:(

Hi I have MENS and had my thyroid, parathyroid and lymph nodes removed because of MTC. Have your calcitonin levels been checked? I have done a lot of research on it and if appears the only way to prevent the MTC from occuring is to remove the thyroid. I'm not a Dr however I researched it a lot because of having it.
I took my first dose of Alendronate and then experience significant muscle pain for the next 4 days. Does anyone know if I should expect this to happen each time I take it or is it something to happen for the first few times until my body adjusts to the medicine?
Do you mean Fosamax (alendronate)? If you do, its for treating bone problems like Osteoperosis by adding bone mass and slows bone loss. I use it for Osteopenia.
My son was exposed to one of the strongest opiates available and he is 3 healthy, and too smart for his own good. Remember, the doc prescribed the meds for you by weighing the benefits vs. drawbacks. Good luck, rest, take care of yourself, and don't stress too much it will just make the preterm labor worse.

Dry mouth and hypothyroidism is very common, and your dentist or physician should have known this ahead of time if they kept up with current research. Several things will help if you wish to save your teeth:
1) Biotene or Oasis gels, they are basically salivary substitutes and will help keep your teeth hydrated.
2) NON-alcoholic mouth rinses. Cutting out alcohol almost completely from your diet as well.
After reading each one, I catorgized, in each class, which ones I would be willing to try and which ones were out of the question. Weight was the first on my list of side effects. There was no way I was going to willing gain weight. If it said weight gain, it was out. It may have made my choices slim but that was important to me. How can you say this? I consistently made a distinction:
In my first post I referred to "dessicated thyroid, such as from Natural Sources".
In my second post I referred to "any OTC product for hypothyroid" and "non-sanctioned thyroid remedies".

A friend of mine has recently started taking raw thyroid and swears it is improving her symptoms. I am unsure of taking such supplements and don't know much about them. I have done a little reading and research about it them but wanted some info from anyone that has done extensive research or has knowledge on this subject.

My mom, grandma, and great grandma on maternal side all have had thyroid issues. Paternal grandmother has been on synthetic thryoid for decades.
Most ppl il use all free and clear I got my mom to switch from tide bc my babies are very sensitive.
the endocrinologist did a serem calcitonin level which was 225 and the rest of the thyroid study was normal.....so it was suggested to me I have my thyroid removed.....he said the FNA usually are not reliable.......whould I jump to have this removed.......jonistone
