Avatar f tn thankyou,i am with contact of my doctor ,he said there is no solution for damaged vertibras,but calcium and vitiman d and alendronate sodium/cholecaiciferol tablets will help spine and bones from further damages but what to do with prednisones i cant stop them because of asthma and taking of them will damage other bones isnt there any other solution instead of prednisones, i know there is nothing accept these because my doctor told me:(

Avatar n tn Hi I have MENS and had my thyroid, parathyroid and lymph nodes removed because of MTC. Have your calcitonin levels been checked? I have done a lot of research on it and if appears the only way to prevent the MTC from occuring is to remove the thyroid. I'm not a Dr however I researched it a lot because of having it.

143746 tn?1301274822 I had surgery in December 2011 and they removed one parathyroid adenoma and 2/3 of the right side of the thyroid. The calcium levels returned to normal and I am now taking synthroid. Nevertheless, I am still having migraine symptoms. They are pretty much just as bad as before. So, do you think that the hyperparathyroidism could have caused the migraine condition? If so, why do you think I am still having migraines? Did it change my threshold or something? What can I do?

Remember, the doc prescribed the meds for you by weighing the benefits vs. drawbacks. Good luck, rest, take care of yourself, and don't stress too much it will just make the preterm labor worse.

There was no way I was going to willing gain weight. If it said weight gain, it was out. It may have made my choices slim but that was important to me. Then, you have your list, you are informed and you can work with your dr according to your list.

I consistently made a distinction: In my first post I referred to "dessicated thyroid, such as from Natural Sources". In my second post I referred to "any OTC product for hypothyroid" and "non-sanctioned thyroid remedies".

There was just a presentation on it in a major liver conference. Quite soon we could be reading better informed opinion than mine. ; ) Bottom line though, they may not get approved.
