Avatar m tn Afterwards my cough came back and I saw a doctor and he told me do not use flonase which makes me cough. I am confused?
Avatar n tn s flonase spray and Astepro, spray ?? 15%.
Avatar n tn We are glad you are working with your doctor as that is your best source of medical help. As to swelling on the sides of your nose, our body can , certainly react in unusual ways, can't it. Here is an older question of a similar nature answered by a MedHelp doctor that I'm attaching for you to read. https://www.medhelp.org/posts/Family-Health/Odd-swelling-on-side-of-nose/show/228206. He suggests a sinus CT. Has this been offered to you or are they trying the Flonase first?
Avatar f tn My doctor suggested Flonase, but I am allergic to sulfur (used a sulfur mask once and my whole face swelled huge, used to have to brush me teeth with sulfur water and my entire mouth would get blisters) and I noticed that Flonase contains sulfur in its makeup. Can I use it?
464237 tn?1315670793 t want the infection to get even worse. How is it ok to use flonase for bacterial infection? Have any of you used flonase for infection. My infection is not allergy related, it came from a cold that was going around. Thanks so much for reading. and yes I have been using nasal irrigation along with all of the other home remedies I have found on the internet.
Avatar n tn Tough question. There are many reasons for post nasal drip and tinnitus. If your nose is still running, could it be sinusitis? Do notice any weird smells from your nose? Headaches? A chronic sinus infection will cause post nasal drip. But it could be that one month with Flonase isn't long enough to get your symptoms under control. I would say 2 months would be more reasonable to decide if there is something else. this type of therapy takes a while for things to set in.
Avatar f tn Than you for your information. Guess I am not making myself clear, but could long term use of Flonase be the cause of the follicultis? Thank you.
Avatar n tn Twice in the last six months using Flonase my mouth filled with blood from sinuses. Is another medication for sinusitis available?
Avatar m tn ve had this really weird fizzing sensation off and on at the back of my throat all day. It feels like a handful of poprocks are at the top of my throat/back of my mouth. It's a really weird suggestion. I have some acid reflux problems, but I've got a prescription acid reducer that I take for that daily so I don't think that's the problem. Could the Flonase be the cause?
545538 tn?1295992017 Thanks Jack! I can't use Prednisone because of a platelet disorder, but I'll check into the Wet Gel or Wet Spray.
Avatar f tn Try to avoid Afrin type nasal sprays, I cannot confirm if they are safe during pregnancy or not, but the issue with this type of spray is that you can only use it for a few days at a time. Long term use of Afrin nasal spray can acutally cause your congestion to get worse, so it's only recommended for 2-3 day use and that's for normal, non pregnancy use. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Flonase...isn't that addictive?? Just use a netti pot. I think there are low dose zinc lozenges and supplements. I'd get a 2nd opinion r research more, but imho & recent experience: sore throat came on and went away on its own. So how about just trying a little extra water and orange juice, or squeeze fresh lemon into warm or hot water? Would you give your baby flonase for stuffy nose? If not, don't use it for yourself either. Think about the fact that you can have a baby...
Avatar n tn Hello~If you wear glasses, it could be the nose pieces, you may have a slight allergy to plastic, if that is the case, then put some nose piece foam on them, they can purchased at the optometrist, if this helps, then you have found and corrected the problem. Other than that, I really don't know what would cause it.
Avatar f tn Starting today, a ticklish feeing in the back of my Thais has appeared and I continue to get the urge of wanting to cough. Over all my instances of sickness, I have done all the recommendations like a saline gargle, and drinking tea. Could you please assist me in finding out what is going on and what I should do.
2114467 tn?1358210256 i'm curious if it is ok to use flonase. also, is benadryl ok to use. I just finished using my netti pot for nasal allergies. I'm trying to be careful about drug interaction; I haven't started the boc yet.
Avatar f tn No worries! I've had 2 sinus infections and this past wk a kidney infection, the flu and pneumonia. Was hospitalized for 9 days. I've been on major doses of meds and they are all safe for pregnancy! I've also been on Flonase and double dose of the z pack. Along with many other meds. They were all prescribed by my obgyn and they said no worries for anything. Dr's are very cautious when prescribing meds during pregnancy!
Avatar n tn Thought I was having a heart attack at age 32! After continued use of the Flonase over the next week the issue persisted and I could barely sleep. I stopped taking it and the heart issues I was having went away immediately.
Avatar m tn Hi everyone, I would like to ask whether the use of Raglan in pregnancy due to the morning sickness can have negative effect for the baby? Because I am throwing out everything I can't eat, I even couldn't drink and was in hospital last week, and the doctor said I have to take Raglan. I take the medicine now and I feel better but I'm worried for the baby.
1939607 tn?1324289300 Over the next few days, I kept feeling better, until all that was left was a tickle in my throat. I kept taking flonase, etc., because of continued sore throat, and the throat got worse not better. The pain switched every day or two from side to side, deep in my throat and seemed to move down from the palate level (far back of throat) to the lower throat. Painful swallowing continued, and I felt swelling in my throat. I had vomitting, and congestion, both of which further irritate the throat.
Avatar f tn I am hoping between those two it will help. I heard a humidifier helps and we use one in the fall and winter but it dries up so much. What can I do? Should I go to a ENT?
Avatar m tn Dr. Prescribed Flonase for vertigo. The way to apply, he said, was to have head down and use the opposite hand for each nostril.
Avatar n tn Normally my symptoms are pressure and tightness above my eyes, especially above the right eye. To get rid of it I start out with Claritin-D then if needed flonase, saline sprays, and Ibuprofen. They don't seem to give me complete relief. I have had this problem for long time. As I mentioned in my last post, when I am away from my home area (southeast Michigan), I feel a little better. Such as, when I travel south to other states, or east to Toronto area, I feel better.
Avatar f tn The longer you wait, the better chance the Flonase has of being absorbed into your nasal cavity. The most common recommendation is 15 to 30 minutes to wait to blow your nose after using. https://www.webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-1474/flonase-nasal/details Let us know how it goes!
612551 tn?1450022175 About two months ago I had to go to ER for an early morning (3AM) nose bleed that I couldn't stop at home. I woke up with the condition from an otherwise sound sleep. I suffer from night time nasal congestion and frequently use an Afrin-type nose spray once at bedtime... I also use saline spray and try to get by using just that for a few nights - not sure what I used the night of the nose bleed. I also note I am on Coumadin (blood thinner) due to a heart condition.
