My son (32 y.o.) is addicted to "spice". He was a heavy pot smoker for years and got into trouble 5 years ago. He is on probation now so can't smoke pot and changed to spice since it cannot be found on drug tests.I know he is self-medicating, his son died 3 years ago at age 2, his dad was abusive and introduced him to drugs and he has had a bad go of it his whole life. Dropped out of school after 9th grade and doesn't have much education other than his GED. I am TERRIFIED.

Hi I have a friend who is smoking something called spice. Does n e one knoe n e thing about it. Its supposed to get u high like marajuana I think its also called k-2 or something like that. Im worried about him because its supposed to b like an insence or something but i guess people smoke it to get high. scence hes been smoking it he has bad memroy loss and im worried for him but he wont listen to me. I had a friend tell me it caused internal bleeding with someone she knows who smoked it.
She cries all night long and I have tried everything to get her to sleep, I have taken her to numerous doctors and no one knows what to do for her. She continues to have visits with her parents who are still smoking spice and I feel that she is somehow getting exposed to this drug while with them but I have no documentation to prove that she can be inhaling this drug, Does anyone know if and how babies can be exposed to this drug if they are around people still using?
Spice Gold I learned can really mess some people up, while some are fine smoking it some aren't. I would get a blood test just to be on the safe side. How long have you been smoking it for? and how have you tried calming yourself down? So far from what you described it is more than likely just anxiety that it's given you (it has very strong properties of that. stimulant properties).
A hemoglobin A1C test can tell your doctor what your blood sugar has been like for the past few months. They can also test your urine for sugar. If you have certain risk factors for diabetes, your doctor would be more likely to order more tests.
I'm making a guess here, but are you worried about diabetes because you've heard it makes you pee a lot? If so, I personally don't think that's your problem.

I tried smoking spice for the first time last week and I will never smoke it ever again. I am lucky to be alive. I have smoked pot for a while now and I have never had any problems from any kind of weed I have smoked, but this spice stuff was awful. When I took two small hits of it, I was fine and it felt like weed, but when I hit it again later on in the night it was a whole other story. I suddenly out of nowhere felt like I had no control over my mind or body.
So I've been smoking spice for quite some time now and just recently I have been starting to through up all the time. I can barely keep down food and even the smell or sight of it makes me puke. But when I'm high on spice I don't feel like throwing up.
My doctor has an assistant, not a nurse, who assists her with checking patient vitals, etc. the assistant makes frequent demands for a urine test...4 in the last 8 months which seem excessive to me. She gets quite testy if I am unable to comply and has left an unpleasant message on my phone once. Today she brought me a full paper cup of water and insisted I drink it. Am I legally required to submit to these tests? Is there a certain number of urine tests required per year?

I had a protected sex encounter with a sex worker about 3 weeks ago. At the third day of my exposure, i did an Urine Culture Test for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. Test result is negative. However, these few days i am having some weird tickling feeling on my penis. Sometimes, i can feel some sharp tickling at the tip of my penis, especially when i am walking. But, I do not feel any pain during my urination.
My questions are:
- Is the urine test on the 3rd day conclusive?

There is a drug called Bentyl (Dicycloverine) prescribed for IBS that can potentially cause a false positive. There may be others too. It also depends on how good the lab is that is doing the testing. Sometimes there's sloppy work or cross-contamination, particularly in the 'collection' phase.
I'd request a retest.
I've been going to a pain clinic for 2 years,for the last 5 times I have been given a urine tast .I've nothing to hide,but I had to pay 437.00 for the last test.As I am on disability and it is getting expensive.Last time I had to go in for a stimulator check they wanted me to take another urine test.I think that they are ripping me off.
Im in the UK and it seems the first step is the urine test according to my NHS walk in centre but you can ask for the blood test straight away if your really worried....but I think that depends on any symptoms.
Ive heard different opinions on the urine test though, I have been told that its no good by one or two people but then afew others have said its fine for an intial check.
Ive had a urine test and it was ok so Im just curious, as it was clear is that it? am I clear for diabetes?

They are also looking to see if you may be showing signs of diabetes or dehydration as well.
Don't worry about the silly test. If it's a urine test the medications will show up in your urine, especially the methadone. It has a very long half life. Please reconsider the way you are taking your medication and be honest with your self and the doctors. You will be much better off in the short and long run. good luck.
