Avatar n tn Hi, I am a 33-year male with a normal weight and with a healthy diet (low fat, no soda, no can food and no fast food). From about 3 years ago I am having a dull stomach pain while sleeping, which causes sore throat and much discomfort and restlessness. When the pain is not so much, I feel better throughout the day until falling asleep again. If the pain is more intense this remains during the day.
1494095 tn?1288784877 I am a 40 year old woman. I have two children, one is 19 and the other is 12. I recently (about 4 days ago) developed some sort of pain in the upper "stomach?" area. The pain is made worse by pressing on the center of upper stomach (approximately 3-4 fingers below the sternum), it's also made worse by movement such as bending, sitting to standing or standing to sitting, laughing, or talking excitedly.
Avatar n tn About 3 weeks ago, I started having stomach pain in the middle and upper middle quadrants of my stomach after napping during the day. I thought it was from eating right before napping, so I stopped that, yet it doesn't seem to help. The pain only happens when I nap during the day, never after waking up from sleeping at night. It doesn't always happen right after I wake up either. Yesterday, it started about 6.

1423902 tn?1282666102 It sounds like you are having a panic anxiety attack. They frequently happen while sleeping or falling asleep. All the symptoms your describe are very common symptoms of anxiety and panic attacks. Are you anxious? Do you have stress or other problems during the day? Get a good physical exam and discus these symptoms with your doctor. Check out the anxiety forum for more info.
Avatar f tn s most likely round ligament pain. I had it really bad w my last baby. I would almost come to tears from the pain when I rolled out of bed, moved suddenly, sneezed (that was the worst). Unfortunately it's very normal when prego & won't go away until U give birth. Look it up online so it's easier to visualize where the ligaments are. Think of the ligament as a rubber band any sudden movement it will pull & snap back and hurt U.
Avatar f tn m lactose intolerant/gluten intolerant, but these are the same type of pains. I feel the pain in my upper tract (just above my stomach) and then in my stomach and down into my intestines. It hurts the most when I drink or eat, so needless to say i haven't eaten much in the past 3 days. I've never experienced this before and I wonder if all the stress I've put myself under over this HIV thing has caused me to get an ulcer or something.
Avatar f tn Hi. I'm 34 year old mother of 2 young children. For the last year, I haven't been able to feel normal. Last September, I was vomiting so I went to the doctor and she ran regular blood work and it showed urobilinogen in my urine (4.0). She did an ultrasound of my gallbladder and liver and it showed no abnormalities. We did urine again a week later and it was down to 0.2.
Avatar n tn It gets worse when i lay down, i can feel the bubbles or air in my stomach and it sounds like watery and air moving around in my stomach. then if ive been laying down or sleeping for a while, when i first get up, the gurgling acts up. The gurgling subsides a bit when i sit normally but i can never just lay down and relax when my stomach is acting up when i do lay down. Any suggestions?
Avatar m tn The upper sac can not digest food it just sits there, and with some people after a big meal if slouched over with the stomach and esophagus in a compressed form, the olower esophagus can literally dip into the upper stomach contents, in most cases due to the closer proximity it is easier for stomach acids to jump up into the esophagus.
Avatar f tn Here and therre tonight ill get a sharp pain on my left lowrr side of stomach very quickly. A fre mins later ill get one on my left upper sidr. Off and on all night... Now my stomach feels likr its cramping. Not like a period but its not normal to me.
Avatar n tn Why it has not settled in these 5 months? I always thought antibiotics cause lower stomach pain but pain is in the upper stomach and is very severe.
Avatar f tn The stomach pain doesn't wake me at night. I only get the pain when I am awake. The pain comes and goes. I will try to cut down on fried food to see if it will stop hurting. It has been hurting for about a week. I am going to take Pepcid for a while to see if it will help.
Avatar n tn the treatment for these hasnt seemed to make it better. the treatment for the h-pylori helped for a while. she has had blood work done a cat scan and a upper GI....any ideas?
Avatar f tn about 8 months ago i started getting this weird pain/cramp/stomach discomfort that would only happen at night time. after being asleep for a little while it becomes this uncomfortable ache in the upper part of my stomach just below my sternum. it is not really constant but more so when i breath in. it can best be described as somewhat like the pain you get in your side that stabs you out of no where if you breath too deep. this has a little less stab to it.
Avatar m tn Starting about two months ago when I missed a couple of prilosec doses, I started having nausea, then severe upper abdominal pain. A GI specialist put me on 40 mg Protonix but I continued to have these "attacks" of severe pain or sick stomach feeling, usually after eating, but sometimes on an empty stomach and occasionally at night. I had an upper endoscopy and bloodwork which showed nothing except signs of GERD in my esophagus.
