But everything's fine and all besides the back of the right side of my tongue hurts so bad still, it hurts to swallow anything. I can't chew, and like under my jaw line hurts and I can just feel how swollen it is like it's kinda closed up a bit. I don't know why it's like this or if it'll go away. Should I go see a doctor?
My tongue has become white and furry fealing with splits in it which hurts when i eat. Can you please explain what it is.
And yes as Margot stated, could be a throat issue and it hurts to swallow...... Look for more signs if possible.....Such as trouble chewing, head tilt during eating, pain while swallowing, chewing on just one side, etc. I'm sorry that I can't think of anything else.....Come back and let us know......
Currently I am feeling like I can't swallow?? Without gathering saliva or drinking something I CAN'T swallow. I feel like I get no air and almost like my tongue may even be stopping me from swallowing. There feels to be something choking me at times or pushing on my windpipe and I need to really chew my food before I swallow. I have had ultrasounds and they came back fine as did the scope inserted through my nose to see in my throat.

this only happens when I swallow. Very painful and hurt my inner ear too when this click happens. My tongue feels stressed out and like there is a foreign body sometimes pressing on my tongue way in the back. Drinking water has become a project and eating sometimes hurts too when i swallow. Hello, I often have what feels like something in my throat is dislocated and I have to pop it back into place or it hurts bad and I can't swallow. This is higher than my thyroid, I went to an ENT and he said it was probably my hyoid bone. This has started happening more frequently in the past year and become more painful. I have had dental problems, I had two metal crowns on the right side in the back of my mouth one on the top and one on the bottom.
Use two tablespoonfuls in mouth swich for 1-2 minutes and then swallow as needed. After a day my tongue was improving. I never thought it would work.
recently it really hurts for me to swallow and it looks like my tonsils are swollen. Also I feel like the thing under my tongue is also swollen and from the outside it feels like I'm starting to grow "a double chin" from the swelling up. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this and know what is wrong and give any tips of what I could do to handle it.
This time it was thought to be a fungal infection. Fluconazole tabs and Nystatin swish and swallow for 7 days. Tongue coloration developed two days after the mouth soreness. Soreness is gone, but tongue coloration persists. Been taking the anti-fungal meds for four days... Common thread seems to be related to antibiotics. Are there fungal cultures that can put a name to this tongue over growth? Are Fluconazole and Nystatin wide spectrum enough to kill any oral fungal infection?
hiya, i'm alessandra i am 11 and one day i woke up with a black little dot on the side of my tongue it hurts when i rub it or even touch it what is it? what do i do? help, please!!
I have been like crying in pain because of it. It hurts to move my tongue around and it makes it hard to swallow even my own saliva. I have been to my doctor and dentist about it, both saying it will leave on its own..but it has been years...They said its a salivatory stone, caused by plaque type buildup that gets stuck and makes it hard to salivate...who knows. I wish I had an answer for you, and for myself.
the first thing that seemed stange and made me think of possible std infection was some weird bumps on the back of my tongue. there is a lot of them. but only in the rear. the part that isnt covered in bumps has been discolored with some sort of stuff. however, the stuff comes off. the bumps don't hurt at all. nothing really hurts. the other reason i am worried is because ive had a bad stomach ache. however, that is the only "flu like" symptom.
All week Ive had a sore under my tongue...Its really small and when i brush it become like a tiny crator. It hurts really bad when i eat anything. But especially when i eat Anything with salt. Ive been brushing it, rinsing with Hydrogen Peroxide and Listerine. After rinsing the pain goes down but it flares back up in an hour or so. I cant even fully rest my tongue in my mouth cuz when it touches my teeth or anything in my mouth it stings. How do I get rid of it?
The pain in my neck under jaw line has been persistent since december and it hurts to swallow now. My question is if hiv pos would these be typical symptoms after just six months?
About 4 days ago I noticed that i got little cuts on the corners of my lips and that there was a little white thing on it that looked like a pimple but it isnt, and the tip of my tongue reallyyy hurts like crazyy. I have noticed that there are little white bumps on it .. and i usually never have that. And im not sure if this has something to do with that but my tonsils also hurt like a mother. Its so hard to eat and drink and swallow because they feel like theres a knife stabbing them.
But, today I just noticed a red spot forming towards the back of my throat near the that thing that hangs down but towards the side. None of it hurts though but it happened to form now when this thing on my tongue was around. I also have a canker sore on my gum at the front upper of my mouth, which that one of course hurts. I'm just freaking out now that this red spot formed, though the tongue looks better.
Am on the Boceprevir-Ribavirin-Interferon combo-pack and have noticed that when side-effects start piling up, I begin to get not only the craziest dry-mouth (especially at night) but my tongue gets all bumpy and hurts and feels like its cracking at time. Which then makes it difficult and painful to swallow. It tends to go away after about and hour being up but, goodness, it's so strange!
yesterday as i was looking in my mouth to see the back of my throat i had to stick my finger in my mouth to hold my tongue down and i noticed it wasnt my throat it was the back off my tongue that hurts.
Just about 2 months ago I began developing strange allergic reactions. They have occurred on my feet, hands, back of knee, upper thigh, lip and now tongue. I have gone to the doctor before and they said it was contact dermatitis. I have not figured out what I'm allergic to yet and am still waiting for a call back from the allergy department. Last night, I woke up at about 3am with a swollen tongue. It really freaked me out.
I can't see or feel anything abnormal from the other side of the tongue. Sometimes the pain is so bad I can barely swallow, and I've embarrassingly found myself drooling lately because of saliva buildup. Advil helps the pain. About four weeks ago, I had what I thought was the flu (severe body aches, fever, and dry cough) but docs diagnosed as strep throat, even though my rapid culture came back negative.
The symptoms I am having are a crazy sore neck everytime i turn my head a certain way it feels like my neck is so tight i cant breath, My tongue feels like it is swollen and when i swallow it hurts. I find that these symptoms are worse at night. I could handle the neck pain i think if it didnt feel like my throat and my tongue didnt feel like they were swollen. Has anyone ever expierenced this before. I tried to explain this feeling to my husband but he didnt get it.

A few days ago I realized it really only hurts on the left side, and it's really not so much a sore throat (although my throat does hurt when I swallow) but a sore tongue. My tongue hurts towards the back and also at the base but again on the left side. I looked at it today and there is a lump at the back of my tongue. What is this?
they are red, kind of big, and there are tons of them. they hurt really bad, feel something in my throat, and it hurts to swallow. i also might have a fever and have been sneezing alot with a stuffy nose. im not sure if these symptoms match, but im worried about what i might have. also, over the past few years, my throat has been extremely dry all year round and my voice has become verryy hoarse. please help!!
She said that I had aspirated some stomach acid and it had burned my throat. I had a barium swallow test done, which came back completely normal, despite my long history of really bad heartburn. Because of my remote location, a trip to the ENT was very expensive and I declined to go. Eventually it did clear up and heal and go away, and I went on with my life. Fast forward to last week, I've been feeling a bit stressed and noticed my heart burn and IBS acting up a bit.

The back of my tongue has been the biggest issue. There is major swelling on one side of my tongue.. it hurts terrible to reach back and touch, let alone swallow. I've been having to spit out saliva because it hurts for bother swallowing all the time. It's different everyday, but lets say one morning it'll be the left side of my tongue that is swollen and painful... and it will hurt the majority of the day.
