s fine and all besides the back of the right side of my tongue hurts so bad still, it hurts to swallow anything. I can't chew, and like under my jaw line hurts and I can just feel how swollen it is like it's kinda closed up a bit. I don't know why it's like this or if it'll go away.
Should I go see a doctor?
For the last two days since, I am having trouble eating because it hurts all the way down. The first day after it felt like my lungs hurt too. I'm assuming I burned my throat/esophagus. I can swallow food, it just hurts. Will I be okay? How long will this last? Is there anything I can do to remedy it?
The roof of my mouth is red and super sore when I swallow. It feels like I have a sore throat but on the roof of my mouth. It's towards my throat but not my throat. It hurts when I swallow or put pressure on it with my tongue. I haven't ate or drank anything hot and it didn't get cut or anything. It has little indents when it's sore. I brush my teeth at least twice a day too. Any ideas?

The pain is excruciating. It hurts to swallow because it feels like my throat has closed but just on the side where the gash is. My ear is also in a great deal of pain. My tongue is completely swollen and the pain is constant. I called my dentist today and she prescribed an antibiotic. I have not gotten any relief so far and I had to call out sick from work today because it hurts so much. I feel like my dentist has no idea what she is doing.
It comes and goes, often appearing after eating, drinking or a lot of talking etc. the also hurts more when I swallow and the pain sorta momentarily travels to my left ear when I do so?? Also, no physical weirdness - no swelling, sores or discolouration.
My friend says she’s been experiencing the same thing so is it like contagious or something? Thank you!!
When I tough it my full back area of tongue fills with pain. Its like sore yet hurts all the time.
I have neck pain on the right and it hurts more when I swallow and pain goes down to my collar bone; also pain behind the right ear which runs down the back of my neck into my right shoulder.
Sometimes ( rarely though) I feel the pain has moved or is also being experienced in the left lower jaw.
It feels sometimes like my teeth are hurting.
Then took 7 days of mycins for possible infection. But now the pain is back, mostly at left base of tongue, and hurts to swallow, turn neck, or touch my carotid. Nothing really specific showed up on the CT other than "inflamation"???? (or node enlarged) at the bifurcation. Now last night was fine, but I sat down for dinner, and could hardly swallow my food. The pain kept me up most of the night. Now pain is getting severe with the ear pain and swallowing.

I've been having more sore throats than I normally do but it is always sore and I just live with it. I have been told ''it's nothing to worry about'' by ENT and a few GP doctors and also told that my mouth breathing causes them but they have done no tests on my throat or tongue. My blood tests have always come back fine but they were testing for STI's.
I have been like crying in pain because of it. It hurts to move my tongue around and it makes it hard to swallow even my own saliva. I have been to my doctor and dentist about it, both saying it will leave on its own..but it has been years...They said its a salivatory stone, caused by plaque type buildup that gets stuck and makes it hard to salivate...who knows. I wish I had an answer for you, and for myself.
I cant swallow solid foods, and I can only swallow fluids with a thin straw. Once I get the food past the back of my mouth it goes down fine ,its getting it past the top of my tongue that is the problem. I do not have a lump feeling at all. I get speach problems and my vision has gotten worse. I also get dizzy. I have ear aches and lose the hearing in my left ear. Is there any one out there with the same symptoms and if so what have they been told?
In addition, why do I have a layer of white coating on my tongue. There is also a sore feeling in my tongue and it hurts a little when I consume food. I did a comprehensive std test which comprises on syphillis, hiv, herpes 1/2, chalmida etc on the 2nd week after the exposure and the results were all negative.
i checked in the mirror this morning and there is a large swollen lump that hurts when i poke it, swallow, eat, or anything. it doesn't hurt to breathe, or restrict air flow in any way.
my questions are this:
What could it be?
Should i see a doctor? (no insurance/ very little money. would like to only if it's vital)
Is there anything i can do at home to help it go away?
When you wear your lower denture,if you feel lower jaw is more protruded or deviated to one side,it takes more effort to swallow, pronunciation takes more effort, tongue does,nt rest comfortably, these symptoms are all related to denture occlusion. If your dentist can not adjust the denture optimally, seeing a prosthodontist is advised.
2 days ago i woke up from a nap (with the fan on high) and noticed the left side of my throat was very sore. if had a bad cough the past 2 weeks from alergies. it still hurts when i swallow. it feels like a bumb on the uper back left side of my throat. right above my wizdom tooth. the other side has a bumb but doesnt hurt and feels like it is supposed to be there. i can feel it with my tongue. the bumb kinda feels hard like a bone is sticking out. it is also.
I have a pain, burning when ingested makes clicking noise, difficulty swallowing (when swallowed food hang and have to drink water to swallow) hurts down to the thyroid. (I did tests for thyroid and is ok) and also I feel tightness in my throat, I have the sensation of a foreign body, I also had trouble breathing and bitter taste. I feel a foreign body on the basis of tongue. As something to pull my tongue back up the neck.(left and right).
All week Ive had a sore under my tongue...Its really small and when i brush it become like a tiny crator. It hurts really bad when i eat anything. But especially when i eat Anything with salt. Ive been brushing it, rinsing with Hydrogen Peroxide and Listerine. After rinsing the pain goes down but it flares back up in an hour or so. I cant even fully rest my tongue in my mouth cuz when it touches my teeth or anything in my mouth it stings. How do I get rid of it?
i have this stuff that builds up on the back of my tongue. its chunky kind of and its usually yellow but sometimes turns different colors. it doesnt hurt. and i can scrape it off. but it comes right back. it doesnt really bother me except i dont like to stick my tongue out cause you will see it. it might smell cause i have bad breath. does anyone know what this is? i dont think it is thrush because i have read that thrush hurts and isnt easy to scrape off.
