Throwing up blood lap band

Common Questions and Answers about Throwing up blood lap band

throwing-up

I initially found out about my diagnosis by going to my doc and getting a second opinion on the Lap band procedure. My blood pressure was high and he wanted to up my atenolol. I advised my doc I am too fatigued now and would not want to up the med if possible. He looked at my past labs and noted my liver enzymes have been abnormal for some time and ordered a Hep panel. I'm certainly glad he did. Anyhow, my general practitioner thinks that the surgery would still be a good option.
http://www.chasefreedom.com/lapband.html offers a good review of this procedure I copied it below.... "Lap-Band" Information and Review The Lap-Band is an inflatable banding system that is placed around the upper stomach to limit food intake in severely obese individuals. The Food & Drug Administration (FDA) gave BioEnterics' Inamed unit permission to market the Lap-Band in June 2001. However, recent concerns have surfaced regarding the safety of the medical device.
when i got it in i got sinus problems... crusty blood etc and my body hated it when it was in constent throwing up.. theydidnt know why. after they took it out after a month i got cronic pain in my arms neck legs etc found it hard to get up in the morning, would often miss things because of the pain.. i also as well have post nasel drip ever since op..then i was told oh u just have stress. then my mental status changed and my bf wants to leave me ..
I'd go for gastric or lap-band or something but think a decent surgeon wouldn't touch me with a ten foot pole right now :) Anyway... thanks for the education! I guess I could try the smaller Ambien, and then try to sleep first. The 10s work for 6 hours or so.... if I take it at 2 in the morning then I am going to be having a tough time getting going for work. Thanks!!!
Sometimes she just lies on the floor and cries until it subsides enough for me to pick her up and hold her on my lap. If it is her shoulder, arm or wrist, she can't use her arm. Sometimes the pain can start somewhere and spread to another location in the same 'episode' (with more than one place hurting at a time). The pain lasts for about 20 minutes then subsides. It's just heartbreaking to hear her cry and ask why this has to happen to her and why does she have to have this pain!!!
They will have you check your Complete blood count and see if your immunity stays up and your lymph nodes are ok. They can take you off if necessary but you will get worse if you don't take the meds for TB too. So, I think I would try to take them and stay on them if you can. They may make you feel sick but if you go off of them the TB may become resistant so you have to either go on them or not. I would ask these same questions to your doctor before starting. Hope this helps.
Honestly yes I am afraid of being put under and the pain but I am even more afraid of throwing up after the surgery as I hear that's common. I have a vomit phobia! Please please tell me your experiences with this surgery. I feel like docs always play everything down. So scared. Thanks all!
Although it wasn't communicable that way I really didn't want to tell her I had had other ways I could have gotten it in the past so I just waited when they did my blood test and she said she'd do a liver panel but not the hep test....Then my enzymes came up in the 200s on my physical and then she ok'd it and there it was.
Unfortunatly I will HAVE to continue the shots for 3 more months, I have to get prepared to stay at the hospital for atleast 1 day or 3 if the lap ends up being an open suregery, plus I have to get blood donors.
I had a gallstone attack in Nov 2005 had no idea I had gallstones. It did make my blood pressure go up. I was in the hospital for 5 day's because my blood pressure was so high! I had never had problems with high blood pressure nor do I now. I did have them removed while I was there. I guess you can say I had them and didn't know it. If I had known that's what it was I would have had it done LONG AGO. I also had some episodes like you after eating just thought it was the pizza...
dizzy and feel like throwing up. I feel light headed and like I'm going to tip over. I really wish I knew the cause. It almost feels like when I try to focus when I'm dizzy it makes me feel like throwing up even more so. All of these symptoms and noone seems to put a name to this horrible problem.
At time I called dr I was not throwing up. By the time my hubby got home I was throwing up. He called dr got answering service and told her to tell dr he was taken me to ER now wasn't going to wait for test the next day. I had acute pancertitis.spent four days in hospital. Thanks so much for responding to my question and sharing your thoughts with me and the others in this chat!! Sorry I have not responded as I have been sick wiht flu. Goodness sakes, I am becoming useless on the farm here not being able to get back into my "normal life"!! I am still having the pelvic pains, which have worsened because of throwing up from flu. I have another "personal" question and I am a bit embarrased to ask, but I want to know if I am okay or not.....

Sunday with my feelin my son's hurt I had the craziest dizzies, chest pain, pain in my left hand, my hips hurt. My body was wound up tighter than a rubber band on one of those toy planes. Bandida is right! The mind affects our body and our sugar by the way. I have never been able to shake that feeling on my own. I got out a book that is helping me now. Eckhart Tolle's "Awakening your life's purpose". It calmed me a bit. Reading the steps, step 3 especially, helps.
) Shysana: Feel better! I've had a cold since last week & I'm getting closer to O. It doesn't make it easy to be "in the mood" ;-) Take care! Guesito: Great news! Candie: Are you using opks yet?
I've had an ultrasound and a saline erection due to the main problem I have (shrinking penis) and the doctors found nothing untoward with either the tissue or the blood flow. It doesn't happen all the time for me but it is a regular occurance.
I had the worst rash all over my chest and along my band line. i ended up breaking out in hives all over my body it got soo bad. I'm allergic to 3 different Victorias Secret bras. My doctor sent me to the hospital, they ended up putting me on steroidal lotions, 2 different ones- westcort cream and triamcinoline. they worked. My rash is back with a different bra now. Does anyone know a brand that won't do this???
even if it's not picked up in blood tests, that's what it is. So.. he took more blood, for more invasive tests and I have to call next week to see what those tests are. But whatever they say, it will be Lovonex. (I thought as much) Sam.. Are you taking your shots after ER or after ET? Juana.. how bout you? I get my first box of goodies tomorrow.. woo hoo.. youd think it would be a Mink coat for how much I paid. oooh.. sumpin funny..
i am just making an appointment with my consultant to be checked out , but would like to know how long it is before the pain goes. my seven month old baby keeps standing up on my lap and really hurting my stomach as he tries to climb me.

and he said I had most likely strained my neck while lifting. So whenever my neck and shoulders would tense up during a particularly strenuous rep, the strained nerves in my neck would cause a headache. He said if I just quit working out for a while and gave my neck a chance to heal, I would be fine. In any event, I stopped strength training for a couple of months, and when I started up again I was okay. Previously I had tried taking a 2 or 3 weeks off, but it wasn't enough.
Well I also found something called Compulsive Skin Picking. Which it is but if you search it up on Google, its more of a mental thing, not a hormone imbalance that a drug would take care of it. I recommend not to take any prescribed drugs for this problem, because I can already tell you NONE will work. Probably just a medication that would mess with your mind or make you depressed. Try these helpful hints that I'm going to be trying out also...
I have had a total hysterectomy, so that is NOT an issue... About once a year, I end up in the hospital, very sick - throwing up uncontrollably. Was just in the hospital in July for a week... And they can never figure out what is going on..?! This is driving me nuts. Some of the MDs have suggested that I am just depressed - which is somewhat true -- as time goes by without a diagnosis - I do get discouraged... Any suggestions?????
I will be very upset if my RE wants to do a lap for a small cyst I have. H e saw it in March ,wanted to do a lap in april, I went for surgery but was told that the cyst was not in the way and instead he was going to do a trial retrieval.
