throwing up blood lap band

I have been vomiting for the last 6 days. I don't have any other symptoms. I can usually keep liquids down in small amounts. Occasionally, I can keep small amounts of soup down but that's about it. I am not pregnant. I do have a lap band that I have had for almost 5 years. I don't believe it's causing the vomiting. I'm not getting stuck and throwing up. I am throwing up from my actual stomach, not my pouch. There has been no fever, headache, chills, or heartburn.

I initially found out about my diagnosis by going to my doc and getting a second opinion on the Lap band procedure. My blood pressure was high and he wanted to up my atenolol. I advised my doc I am too fatigued now and would not want to up the med if possible. He looked at my past labs and noted my liver enzymes have been abnormal for some time and ordered a Hep panel. I'm certainly glad he did. Anyhow, my general practitioner thinks that the surgery would still be a good option.

I too get mucous coughed up after eating. I have had a lap band for 8 years now.(waste of time for me-lost only a bit of weight and struggle to keep it off even eating less)I am interested that others think this could be associated with the lap band. Maybe a study needs to be done.

I had lap band surgery about 2 years ago. I have lost over 100 pounds. I exercise 4-5 times a week for approximately 90 minutes. I do cardio, water aerobics, wt. training, spinning, yoga, body pump, and "boot camp" training. My biggest problems continue to be that I still use food as my drug of choice and have a problem feeling satisfied when I can't eat enough to medicate my pain.

However the incision on my left side is still pretty sore and looks kind of raw. I put a band aid on it over the weekend and it appears to be leaking or something because when I removed the band aid there was stuff on it. I am not sure if this is normal or not. Has anyone had this happen?

I am considering having the lap band surgery. I am on 75mg Levothroxine. I continue to gain weight. I went to a weight loss center and only lost water weight. I spent several of dollars each month but could not keep the weight off. Have anyone been successful with the lap band surgery having thyroid disorder?

A month ago she had to be hospitalized because she was below 100 pounds(97). She is up to 108 now but far from better. Constantly throwing up as if the food isnt completely making it down. I had my lap band placed in 2009. I would throw up on and off. I couldn't ever figure out what i could eat, something I ate today I would throw up tomorrow. It was extremely frustrating. I did lose 60 pounds in 6 months with the band but i couldn't get anymore off. I tried to exercise but could not do any type of abdominal exercises without getting charlie horses in my stomach which were extremely painful.

My daughter had lap band surgery. Two weeks later the lap band had to be removed because of infection. After the lap band was removed it came to my attention that her pre operative lab work had shown she had a UTI. My daughter is 20 years old, weighed 166 pounds with no health problems. We have heard of no one else who had to have their lap band removed this soon after surgery because of infection. It was not the incision sites that were infected but the lap band itself.

Well i have been throwing up a lot these past weeks and he said i could of broke a blood vessel and that's why it happened.

Well i didnt go to the hospital because it wasnt a whole lot and it didnt continue the next day i figured it was from throwing up too much since iv been throwing up everyday and iv never thrown up so much before i will be talking to my doctor about it. Ive nvr heard of ppl throwing up blood from a UTI. Ive heard of peeing out blood but thats a whole different story. Id call my doctor and be seen for a 2nd opinion hun.

Today was my 2nd time throwing up blood. First it was yellow then some red Started to show. Im a first time mommy so im not sure if this is normal!

Is your throat raw? Have you been throwing up a lot? Either way I'd tell your doctor, if you're throwing up that much that your throat is raw you should probably get checked out!

Hello, I'm a 26 year old male. I consider myself to be a moderate drinker. I work from 8 to 5 so a typical day I might have a couple glasses of wine (about 12-16 ounces) with dinner( I eat really healthy). On average, I might have a long island (for example) a few nights a week (on weekends & maybe one night a week). Today, Sunday, I had a mixed drink around 2 pm with maybe 2 ounces of Vodka with 6 ounces Orange Juice.
