Within hours I get sinus blocking then lots of green goobers from my throat the next day and if unlucky cold like symptoms for a day or three before it clears up, I jut take throat sweets and flu remedies. Having been together for many months I choose to avoid giving oral pleasure. Yes I know I should discuss it but in doing so I'd like to know what we should do next, is it the doctors, is it the pharmacy or is it a clinic?

fever,chills,body aches and slightly enlarged neck glands.I have been taking some flu remedies as well as advil.Now, flu symptoms went away but my lymph nodes mostly on the left side are very swallen and painfull.Can somebody tell me what that could be.Thank you so much.
If the sore throat is caused by a bacterial infection such as strep, the above home remedies will still provide relief from pain, but like with a virus, it won't get rid of the bacteria causing the infection and in order to do that, you will need an antibiotic. your doctor is the only one who can determine if the throat problem is caused by a virus or an infection.
I woke up today with a serious migraine , fell back asleep and woke up with a sore throat and plugged nose along with dental pain in my jaw.
She took a pregnancy test and it came up negative. She also just came down with a very sore throat, slight fever, and body aches. She will not take any medicine because she thinks she may still be pregnant, and does not want to hurt the fetus.

she said there was no way she had a sore throat so shortly after the antibiotics she had given her but i told her it was not a long time at all... she has some infection in her ear and throat still so she put her on Clarithromycin for 10 days... her throat seems to burn now when it hurts and her ear aches, she has been taking it for 3 days...
It started with a sore throat and headache and pain in his sinus region as well as phlem in the back of the throat and a cough started. Do you have a cough. After the 3rd attack, I nursed him back to health with plenty of bed rest, 4,000mg of Vitamin C per day, home-made turkey soup and plenty of juicy fruits like citrus (oranges and lemons; the lemon was squeezed in his herbal tea) and berries (strawberries, blueberries..etc).
Top left of throat permanently sore (poss vocal fold?) and throat generally is tickly but no infection there. Had chest infection which is now clear. Blue asthma inhaler caused coughing and laryngospasms so was stopped. Steroids helped the original chest problems but don’t help the “new” post-chest infection cough so were stopped. Been prescribed omeprazole twice a day, but again, no help.

Am 30wks and have a really sore throat. Any ideas?
I am almost 20 weeks pregnant and I've had a sore throat, nagging cough and really bad congestion for almost a week. To top it off I just woke up with pink eye yesterday. So I have prescription eye drops for that. I've been taking Robitussin which doesn't seem to be helping the other symptoms at all. Does anybody have any baby safe remedies?
