Hello I have an 8 1/2 year old little girl. She has been having a lot of stomach pains and can not poop regularly. Her doctor now has her taking an adult dose of Miralax twice daily and she also takes Nexium 20 mg every morning. There seems to be no visible trigger to the pain and it is all over her upper and lower abdomin. Is there any thing else we can try since none of this is helping. We have been dealing with this for several years and it just gets worse.
(im almost 19 now) For a month or two ive had horrible stomach pains bloating a feeling of fullness even after going to the bathroom..Yesterday i went to the doctor he took xrays and discovered there was a ton of stool in my stomach. It was so much that it scared me. The doctor told me to take miralax saying it will help me. However my stomach still hurts so much and im still so constipated. What else can i do?
How old is your son? Are these baby teeth or adult teeth? I wouldn't pull any adult teeth unless absolutely necessary. Yes, the wisdom teeth could potentially fill in that space but there are complications with that. As the wisdom teeth come in, they don't move sideways into the space but rather, they tilt in and lean in sideways which causes problems with the jaw bone.
i get really bad pains in the left side ofmy stomach and the bottom of my stomach and i don't no why it really horrible some times it hurts so much i can't sit down or stand any think i did the pain wont go and it makes me feel really sick i went to the doctors but they blame my bowls but i don'y see what this has to do with my bowls. any suggestions what could be wrong. ???

t, and can spend a lot of time trying. It can also cause gas pains. Children can develop a ulcer and this may be what is wrong with your son. Giving him Maalox is putting a bandaid on the problem, and you want to know what the probblem is. My son had one at 12, it devestated me because I thought an ulcer at 12! But they said it is fairly common. I think he needs to have an endoscopy so they can look inside and view his stomach and find out exactly what is going on.
Hi. I'm 34 year old mother of 2 young children. For the last year, I haven't been able to feel normal. Last September, I was vomiting so I went to the doctor and she ran regular blood work and it showed urobilinogen in my urine (4.0). She did an ultrasound of my gallbladder and liver and it showed no abnormalities. We did urine again a week later and it was down to 0.2.
colitis but my doctor who does my paps said my uterus is shaped funny so try positioning on my stomach but my fiance was born with his right testicle in his stomach but they brought it down & the doctors said he might not be able to have children but i know people who have had this issue and have had kids. What advice could you give me?
Wow! I have to say how nice it is to know you are not a freak and that other people have this horrible problem. I can go back as far as 7 years of age and remember having anxiety, It's so sad to think a child would have to deal with such a thing. I now take Lexapro and feel alot better. Not 100% but I guess as good as it's gonna get for me. I recently noticed alot of anxiety signs in my 9 year old daughter. It's apparently something you can pass on to your children.
They are kind of like Occupational Therapists that see the child weekly in all different environments, they use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy type methods for children, but they also are great support to the family aswell, acting as advocates and can refer to other people if necessary.
My step son has mental health issues and we got the support above through the Paediatrician.
Since yesterday I have had very uncomfortable pains in my stomach, sometimes when I move into a different position I get shooting pains in my belly and if a certain amount of pressure is put in my belly it hurts, I haven't had any bleeding but still worried and unsure what it could be. Also I'm wondering if it could be constipation? Before becoming pregnant I had regular toilet movements but now I'm finding it very difficult to go and even break wind, could these pains be related?
My son has been having severe stomach pains. ONe lasted a week ago on sat. evening for about two hours i almost took him to ER. No fever no vomitting just pain. I mentioned this to his endocrinoloigst last wednesday.
Today the same thing yet this time he vomitted. glucose level was 387 he has been higher then this with no stomach pain etc. I know when levels get too high or you have keytones you could vomit.
(in children) In adults, this type of thing would show up as an Axis II personality disorder. In children, particularly 4 (very young for this kind of diagnosis, ADD/ADHD as well - and I would hold off on the meds until a second or third opinion is obtained..cheaper than treatment I'm sure...) ALSO - (I have personal experience in this - my 5 yr old girl had wild tantrums, and I was very worried,, and took her to different drs...
But it is best to know as it can build up in your mind until you know.
i did not have the intense pain in the chest.It seems that this is the deciding factor.A anxiety attack can have simular symptoms ex arm pain dizziness upset stomach elevated pulse. I have been into weight lifting for a long time and i realize that my pain came from the intercostal muscles between the ribs.Also my pectoral,chest, gives me pain but this is muscular.
well my aunt was about 45 when she got bowel cancer.i keep pressurng them to do more but they have now said they wll do a colonlospy but i may have to wait a few months but he dont want to do xrays or scans because it may make me more anxious.i have seen about 10 different drs now but non seem too bothered but it just make me feel worse when see the amount of weight i have lost and other symptoms like burnng stomach pain really bad gerd.needng to sleep much more and stomach pains with nausea.
Sorry to hear about your children. Generally people do not develop myopia until they are into adulthood. Myopia in young children is an indication of some underlying health condition. I know your opthamologist said there is nothing wrong. I would get a second or third opinion - including one from a natural/alternative practioner. Myopia in very young children is generally caused by inability of the eye muscles to focus for reasons that are not well understood if understood at all.
I looked up treatment of children after the above post. It appears that there are centers that specialize in treatment of children with liver disease. It isn't recommended that children under 3. Triple treatment isn't approved for treatment in children. The current treatment approved for children is Peg and ribavirin. There is lots to consider before treating someone so young. I personally would not unless it was life threatening. Remember people can live with hepatitis C.
I think it is too young to push it and can see him just having accidents on purpose once he sees baby in diapers. And putting him in a big boy bed...I think it is too early and I dont want to have the fight of getting one to stay in bed while teaching a 3 month old to sleep in a crib. i just think it is too much at one time and dont want AJ to feel like the baby is causing these changes. lastly, pre school. Everyone wants me to send himto pre school as soon as the baby is born.
