Spiriva mg

Common Questions and Answers about Spiriva mg

spiriva

For me it turned my lungs to glue and I had to stop using it or stop breathing. I am doing well on 1000 mg. of vitamin B5, 500 mg. of C, and two droppersful of mullein extract daily. And no side effects.
I was put on spiriva and symbicort this past winter for SOBE. It helped a lot till about 2 months ago. I started having morning bronchial cough (like bronchitis, but no mucus, fever, etc.) that would wear me out before I even left for work. Would be okay the rest of the day. So I decided to stop the spiriva and the cough stopped. I tried it a week later (chest felt a little tight with Spring weather changes) and cough returned.
coughing phlegm from lungs for the past six months, have taken antibiotics with no results, did take predrisone together with SPIRIVA 18 mcg and ADVAIR 500/50 for the past month. Still coughing up phlegm and have limited lung capacity. Any suggestions comments.
I have emphysema. i use advair twice a day and spiriva one a day. The biggest problem for me is that I always seem to havemucus build up in the mornings. My doctor has told me to try mucinex, but that doesn't seem to work all the time. So i try using albuterol in the morning to help loosen up the mucus so that I can breath better.
The Pulmonary Doctor keeps having me try to use Advair but I get thrush in my mouth anytime I'm on Advair or oral steroids. So I try to avoid them if at all possible. I am currently using Spiriva HandiHaler which I believe is not suppose to have any steroids but I keep getting Thrush in my mouth ! It is a constant problem even just using the Duoneb, and especially if I have to take any antibiotics.
This is just something that I have been exeriencing the past couple iof months. I use Advair twice a day and Spiriva once a day. I also use albuterol (nebulizer) in the mornings to open up my lungs.
I also see a rheumotologist for UCTD and am on Placquenil and prednisone (5 mg or less QD during flares.) Was put on Spiriva and Symbicort. Had to stop Spiriva due to intolerable cholinergic effects. Am fine so far with just the Symbicort. Talked with Rheumy about value of CT scan and if it would change any of the treatments. He felt no. To me is just seems like a very expensive test and wouldn't really change anything. I don't have any clinical signs at this time of PH.

Here are natural supplements that are anti-inflammatories. I take 1000 mg. of vitamin B5, plus mullein extract, and MSM daily. B5 will also counteract the drying quality of albuterol. There are absolutely no side effects. I got off Advair because of very serious side effects which actually made my breathing worse. Symbicort is probably just as bad. They are steroids that throw your adrenals out of whack. Because of Advair I suffered serious adrenal fatigue which I am being treated for.

The azithromycin program I have read on the internet is on the basis of taking azithromycin for 4 days twice a day (250mg) and then 750 mg once a week for 9 weeks to totally get rid of the bug. I am so sick of feeling **** that I would at this moment try anything. The doctor has started me off on Spiriva but this has replaced my combivent. He said he did not want to poison my system with antibiotics!
She changed me to Spiriva as she said it lasts longer, told me to keep at the prednisone 40 mg for 2-3 more days before decreasing to 30 mg. Now she is pushing me to see a pulmonologist for proper work-up. Anyway, I thought you might want to know there is a difference between the various inhalers....... COPD has become so prevalent and the various pharmaceutical companies know they have a captive audience and their trade names can reap big bucks - till some become generic.
X-Rays do not show anything in the lungs I wanted my MD to give me Prednisone but he gave me (Diclofenac SOD 75 MG) and is not working with me, I don't know what i have (Asthma, COPD, PF, Emphsyma, Cronic Bronchities) and he do not seem to know too.
It is Lisinopril, 10 mg in the morning and evening. Other than this I take Spiriva once a day and use albuterol by nebulizer. I also take many supplements every day. I was fine yesterday after going to the doctor, in fact felt like a new person shortly after and I am assuming this is due to that shot they gave me. I felt great this morning when I went back to the doctor for a short re-check. I have another appointment for next Monday.
I have now been put on Spiriva. I have read that it doesn't usually work with ashma. Is it normal to have shortness of breath daily with ashma. I quit smoking when this all started two years ago and have not touched a cigarette since. I was hoping to feel better. I have never had such breathing problems as I have these last two years. I am trying to feel confindent that I was given the right diagnosis.
6 and our primary care doctor is going to order the Reclast IV once a year treatment for the osteoporosis. My husband also has COPD which he takes Spiriva for, hypertention that requires medication, arthritis that he takes Naprozen 550 mg for daily and Hialta Hernia that he takes Aciphex for daily. When he had bone scan in May last year the prostate cancer did not show that it had spread yet, unless it was microscopic.
Last year after a flare up while in FL, I had to go on two antibiotics then after returning home I went to a Dr who put me on Spiriva and pro air. I was feeling really well until last month I had another flare up while in FL again. The first antibiotic of zpack didin't get rid of it so the Dr in Fl prescribed 500 mg leviquin which is working, the infection seems to have passed. I guess I am wondering that since I was diagnosed about 15 years ago, what am I to expect next?

The prescribing doctor WOULD NOT take me off it so I just stopped taking it and made an appointment with another doctor. I have been taking 12.5 mg of Metoprolol and 10 mg Amlodipine for about 3 months. I have COPD and something was aggravating my breathing problems. I went to the doctor yesterday and he took me off the Metoprolol and put me on 100 mg of Losartan. He told me to just stop taking the Metoprolol. I questioned starting off with such a high dose of Losartan.
I went to a lung clinic and had lung function tests which came back telling me that I had COPD. I was put on Advair and Spiriva. After 3 months I went to a lung specialist who gave me all the same tests but told me I do not have COPD but rather mild asthma or possibly it's severe anxiety. He took me off the Spiriva but I have continued with the Advair. I have days where my breathing is ok and other days I am gasping and forcing myself to yawn.

I am on several medications that are barely keeping my airway open. I am on 20 mg. oral prednisone, advair (2x day), spiriva (1x day), zopenex in my nebulizer (1-2x day), albuterol rescue inhaler (use it at work if needed), protonix, and nasonex. I am trying to wean off the prednisone, but my breathing starts to get worse when I do.

I am now on 40 mg of Lisinopril per day. After 13 days of this my BP readings suddenly started being fantastic and remained that way for 9 days. I'm talking numbers (on top) like 106, 111, 98, etc. Then they started coming up again. I also started having some spells where I couldn't breathe. I do have COPD, but hadn't had any problems like this since I got over my pneumonia last winter. I do take Spiriva once a day, and albuterol by nebulizer for this.
5 mg, Effexor XR 150 mg, Buspirone HCL 15 mg, Lamictal 100 mg, Provigil 200 mg, Bisoprolol/HCT/z 10/6 .25 tab, Celebrex 200 mg, Spiriva, Lisinopril 10 mg and , Metanx and he's still depressed and anxious. He meditates every day but has not seen a therapist. Could the combination of all these meds be making him worse? Is a second opinion advisable? Thank you.

Fev1 was 43/54% which seemed very low Saw Cardio did EEG EKG all that, and a treadmill test I lasted 2ish minutes and sort of freaked out but said it didn't look like any sort of heart issue. Switched meds from adviar to Dulera and Spiriva Chest CT/angiography? Showed mosaic pattern that didn't change much during inhalation/exhalation and difference between upper lower lobes that they couldn't figure out "what it meant-if anything.
There actually are many people who are on prednisone for very extended periods of time, such as organ transplant patients - so, in reality, it IS possible to do that. I, personally, at one time, was on 120 mg (yes that did say 120mg!) a day of prednisone for about 1 1/2 years due to my very severe, uncontrolled asthma.
