I would not recommend drinking Slim Fast. I love Slim Fast. I have a tub in my desk right now because I used to use it as quick meal replacement when things got busy at work. I haven't touched it since I got pregnant. Too many chemicals in the ingredient list. And it contains aspartame, an artificial sweetner which isn't good for you especially if you're pregnant.

Try walking at a reasonable pace. Also look into yoga as it's low impact and done at a slow very deliberate pace.
Be sure to watch what you eat as well - might also help the e-coli infection.
Im being admited to the hospital cause one of my sons kidneys are larger than the other and he has fluid in his tummy, im only 34weeks and they may or may not keep him inside me. Has anyone had this problem? How can this happen to him? Im so sad about this:( my poor baby something can happen to him they said.
You should be concerned and might want to use the day after pill to prevent the sperm from reaching an egg. However, the risk is lowest after the period for many women. Just on the odds it's very slim. A good idea would have been to go to the drug store and purchase spermicide to flush with, probably too late now. I would have her contact her doctor just to be on the safe side as said above asap. She probably can still take a pill to prevent pregnancy.
I think I will need to switch abx. I remember the PA saying that the Bicillin is excreted by the kidneys, which would be a big relief to my gut. I had gallbladder pain early on so Rocephin wasn't a good choice then. It might be time to switch to IV Rocephin. Last time in, my doc said I was okay to switch if needed.
I will also ask about cholestyramine and welchol. My Lymie friend who I saw yesterday also recommended the cholesytramine.
Pain management is complicated and knowing the reason why your father is taking the meds he is prescribed as well as the long-term goals and effects seems like something you have a right to ask about.

Just wanted to add that I, and a friend of mine, too, upon first trying Slim Fast thought there was magic in the shake, and thought we could eat whatever we wanted and take the shake and it would somehow do the work for you. Heh, well I learned you can't do a meal and a shake and that the secret is that it is about 200 calories per can, and it fills you up with protein, vitamins and minerals, so you don't get hungry.
I am a 24 year old female. For the past month or so I feel starving all the time. It's the feeling of a gurgling stomach and intense, sickening gnawing hunger pain underneath the gurgling. It makes me immediately start sweating, I get hot and feel that I'll be sick (faint, throw up, etc.) if I don't eat immediately. I run into the kitchen and drink milk and eat oatmeal, peanut butter toast, etc.

Im a 25 yr old male currently weighing in at 16st (100 KG) 5ft 10,
For the last 3 mths i have been ging to the gym 6-7 days a week for 60-120mins a time doing mainly cardio workouts burning between 500 - 900 calories per session i also sometimes do the clasess Body Attack (cardio) or body pump (weight training) i did these classes and gym routine for 11 weeks and didnt see any results for killing myself every day at the gym and 2bh its a little disheartening i was watc
It started in my lower back then went to under my ribs. The right side at my ribs hurts the most. Lately ever time I eat I get a knott (spasm) in the middle of my ribs at my stomach. I have had a Cat scan, blood work, pelvic ultrasound, ultra sound of my kidneys and there is nothing abnormal. I know there is something wrong. I wouldnt have pain, other wise. Sometimes I will get sharp pains after eating and I have to wait a few seconds and then it goes away.

No, I don't think it will affect kidney stones, but.. Slim fast has horrible ingredients, and I would not feed it to my dog. From their website, they list Hydrogenated soybean oil, High Fructose Corn syrup, etc. Soybean oil will make you fat, and so will high fructose corn syrup.Suffice to say, stay away from Slim Fast! Eat whole foods instead. At best, these drinks may cause rapid weight loss, but they are not healthy and usually the weight comes back later.

Thanks for taking my question. I'm 69 female, still working full time, and have lone AF for 4 years. My specialist here in OZ tells me to take a pill(Tambacor)and wait for my heart to 'settle' when I have an attack. I have had a stress echo which was normal, an ultra sound which was normal, I have good blood pressure 130/80, and an angiogram showed my arteries to be normal.
I am 47 years old woman, very active and slim (at list before). The past to menstrual cycles (regular), after my period ends, in about four or five days, my breasts start getting sore and specially heavy again. In the same proportion is my belly. I always had this symptoms around a week before my period starts (could deal with this). To add more misery into it, I gained 6 pounds and can not get rid of them.
