774736 tn?1311331385 I was diagnosed with GAD earlier this year and have gone through horrific panic attacks, agoraphobia, and many other anxiety related nightmares but lately Ive been struggling with sleep deprivation...Every day for the past couple months I have not been able to sleep at a reasonable hour...I have to completely exaust myself to finally get to sleep and before I do, I go through a period of feeling "under the influence", as if im drunk or high...
1794093 tn?1357930759 I definitely understand the sleep deprivation. It really ***** :( I work overnights and have a terrible time trying to sleep during the morning/afternoons. Im also up every hour, or hour and a half, then still manage to work/do things around the house. I always thought the 2nd trimester was supposed to be the best, sure i dont feel sick anymore, but this has been brutal for sleep. Thats exciting about your ultrasound coming up, and really exciting that you are not finding out the gender!
1926359 tn?1331588139 m going down by a third a week-the doc said this was ambitious but I really want to be free so there you have it. If I can get a few nights good sleep I will be prepared to deal with the sleep deprivation again....Ugh. So easy to put in your body...so hard to get out. Wish me luck with the sleep fairies tonight....
Avatar f tn As a teenager I went through a year of sleep deprivation. I got about six hours of sleep a night. I felt very sleepy every day and even had feelings of confusion and derealization. Did I cause any permanent damage to my brain? In addition, has damage caused by oxidative stress and free radicals irreversibly increased my cancer risk?
Avatar f tn i always thought the physical withdrawal is the easiest part of getting clean. It's physical pain, so you can judge what's happening. The mental aspect of this is what kicks my butt on a yearly basis. The anxiety *****..feels like i'm gonna have a heart attach each day..but with breathing exercise and a lil walking...i managed to minimixe that. The depression hits as soon as i get time to myself, so i try to stop that by keeping myself busy...not always in the mood to do things..

1082476 tn?1275617999 Hello Everybody! I had a meeting with my psychiatrist a few weeks ago to raise some sleep issues that I'd been having. The constant tiredness brought on by staying up until all hours of the morning had, I think, actually helped the suicidal thoughts, emptiness, tearfulness and misery that I'd been experiencing because I was too tired to focus on them.

Avatar f tn So glad you feel like a person. Really looking forward to feeling that way again. Sleep deprivation seems to be the biggest thing for me right now. Avatar f tn My cervical spine MRI showed cervical spondylosis with foraminal narrowing. The possible side effects account for ALMOST all of my symptoms. I couldn't find any link between this and some of the weirder stuff like my aphasia, though, until this morning. I still can't find a link to anything spinal, since these are brain issues, but searching "sleep deprivation" along with my other symptoms provided an answer!
1549468 tn?1345468736 I have been like this my whole life, yet it seems to be getting worse as I age. I have been having seizures that are also getting worse, but sleep deprivation causes that. I am frustrated... I am tired... I am ready to crash...
