At this point, there is really no effective medical therapy for hair loss. If your hair loss is associated with tinea and seborrheic dermatitis then the underlying disorders need to be addressed first.

ve had this for months now, and finally after expermimenting with different diets i found that food was not causing it. The seborrheic dermatitis that is all over my hair is also all over my face and now spreading to the back of my ears and side of my neck. I finally concluded the reason why i get it. It seems everytime i was my hair even if i use just water i get a flair up. Shampoos and conditioners only make the matter even worse. The longer my hair is in water the worse it gets.

I'll be honest here. I masturbated 4 years and I feel like i lost essential fluids which are causing hair loss now. But now I don't masturbate, I am keeping my diet healthy. In those 4 years I remember, my water intake was low like I drank 2-3 glass of water. But now i am drinking 8-10 glasses of water daily and i dnt feel thirsty.
My scalp is itchy and full of white little flakes and its causing hair fall daily. I have brittle and dry hair.
I was diagnosed by my dermatologist as having Seborrheic Dermatitis however all medications that I have tried have not been working so my doctor has precribed quite a strong medication called Azapress (a generic medication for Imuran). Thus, my questions are as follows:
1. Will this disease ever go away?
2. What is the success rate for this medication to deal with Seborrheic Dermatitis and what are other options?

The fact that there is associated hair loss,a fungal infection and seborrheic dermatitis have to be considered here .These are conditions that usually involve the scapl and may lead to hair loss.
Take antihistamines for the itching. Also, continue using the topical medications and try to observe your condition. If there are any possible known triggers like abrasive soaps and cleansers, food, heat, smoke and alcohol, avoid them as much as possible.
Some in my family have seborrheic dermatitis. It cleared up on a gluten free diet (no wheat, barley, rye and possibly oats). I'm not saying it will definitely work for you, but it's something for you to try - if it works - no more medicine! If you try the diet, follow it 100% for several months to see if you get improvement.

I have one very small section near the front of my head where I have just noticed a small area of hair loss. The area is only a couple of centimeters. The scalp in that section is slightly pink compared to the rest of my scalp. It has been itchy for the past few weeks.

i am also experiencing a lot of hair loss ...my hairline has receded and my hair has thinned...ive tried shaving my hair...but the flakes come back along with my hair...they also seem to grow quite slow....i consulted a dermatologist- he gave me a shampoo for dandruff and tinea versicolor ... but its not helping...my scalp becoms even drier when i use it..being just 17 im really worried about the hair loss thing.....can anybody help??

Your daughter has a previous history of eczema and this rash on her scalp may be seborrheic dermatitis. Has she been assessed along this line? Seborrheic dermatitis should be managed by frequent and vigorous shampooing. Are there other similar skin conditions in other parts of the body such as the chest and axilla. Good hygiene is a good prevention for the flare ups due to seborrheic dermatitis.The cause of this condition is unknown.
As for the birthmarks, how would you describe these?
I am also having a little pain in hair frollic's when i drag my hand thru them.

This may be a mild form of seborrheic dermatitis. Seborrheic dermatitis presents with overproduction of sebum by the sebaceous glands. In most cases, they may present with scales and may affect other parts of the body like the chest and the face.

There is no psoriasis, or seborrheic dermatitis. The bx just said inflamation my scalp just feels tight . There is no patches of hair loss , it is pretty even all over just more thin or the left side. There is no flaking or itching just burning and tingling. The area that is red you can see tiny little viens comming to the top of the scalp . Alot of the scalp looks pink like I have had a sun burn. I had my hormones checked last week normal.
