Avatar m tn For a few dollars you can contact a lawyer, if you feel the necessity or you can go to a library that has legal references and statutes for help. It is not difficult to search, and the librarian can be of help. Hope that helps.
Avatar m tn My big fear is epilepsy Oxy use to make me shake and bite my tongue but since i been on 200mg Lamictal it has stopped I read Flexeril may cause seizure but then I also read the opposite. Even if I am not epileptic I like to play it safe as my Doc is out, and the pharmacy worker never seems to know anything. So does Flexeril increase seizure risk or is that just for (diagnosed) epileptics? I don't want to add it to the oxy and have a attack.
489924 tn?1209491123 She then went up stairs and talked and joked with her grandfather. He had jammed his finger and it was bleeding. SHE HAS NO PROBLEMS WITH BLOOD! She was sitting. She stood, and flopped back in the chair, and shook for 10 or so seconds.Shes never had anything like this. No history of seizures on her dads side. On my fathers side her grandfathers our great great uncle may have had them. Felt tired afterward and didnt remember what happened. Felt fine later that night.
Avatar n tn Hi Jinkies, you are a smart woman to not fixate on just one disease when there are so many autoimmune disorders out there that can cause these problems. Be sure and stop through and let us know how the search is going and don't give up looking. Be your own advocate - it is worth the effort.
Avatar f tn ve noticed increased seizure activity and forgetfulness. Also, irritability and nervousness. Has anyone else had this or similar experience? Also, if so, what/if anything helped?
Avatar f tn Only thing I can suggest is headaches can sometimes be caused by heart or circulation problems. Since he's on blood pressure meds, could be they aren't doing the job, even tho they were switched recently. It would also be good to know the body chemistry basis for how come his potassium is low all the time, but I don't know what kind of doc can investigate that. That would be my input on this.
Avatar f tn A few minutes after that she had a grand mal seizure. (First seizure ever). Rushed to the hospital by ambulance. She had 1 seizure in ambulance, 2 more in the ER. Cat Scan showed nothing. She was put on seizure medication, but seizures continued. She was also given bacterial and fungal medication, in case of encyphillitis, etc., Ran every possible test imaginable, all came back negative. Spinal Fluid showed elevated white blood cells. Doctors could not figure out what was causing her seizures.
572072 tn?1217126880 My 2 year old son has been having seizures since he was 6 months old. They have worse over time. Today I took him into the hospital (his dr's office was not open today) for swollen tonsils to get meds in him before the illness got worse as his seizures get worse when he is sick.
Avatar f tn My very healthy 3 year olds son recently had a grand mal seizure and is now having drop seizures. His MRI showed a cerebellar tonsillar ectopia and adenoid and tonsil enlargement. Does anyone know if this combination could cause a seizure? Or whether the cerebellar tonsillar ectopia alone could cause a seizure? Thanks!!
Avatar n tn Hi, Good suggestion. We have a bunch of search enhancements we're looking at doing, and this is one. One thing you can do right now, is we've added a search box to every forum that searches just in that forum. For now, you can go to the expert's forum, and search which will give you just posts from their forum. Not ideal, but a step closer.
Avatar m tn I have been told by the cardiologist that migraines, fatigue are symptoms of NCS, and that the seizure meds with this condition probably has made it worse. Most people do just faint, but there has been neurological events recorded with tilt table test.. I have found material that recommends anyone that has seizures or fainting needs to have a cardiac work up as well as Neurolgical work-up. Search it (NCS with seizures) to find the info you need. Thanks Let me know what you thing...
Avatar n tn I have had numerous tests ran and everything was normal? Usually after i get that experience i get severe migraines. What could this mean?
Avatar m tn I never thought or imagine that I would end myself and I don't want to die, but at the same time I want to die. I don't know how to explain it. I've been thinking about suicide for a while now, but its not everyday that i think about it. I'm in the US Army Reserve and every time it is drill weekend i think of suicide. I want to get out of the army but I don't want to suffer UCMJ and I dont want to talk to my First Line Leader or Commander about it.
Avatar f tn last update, he has a cist and is on antibiotics for the cist and infection..thank you for the help..

Avatar m tn Many times, you can have an aura and never have a seizure. Now, I can have a seizure and not have an aura to warn me.
Avatar f tn I'm a 32 year old male and I've been suffering from grand mal and partial complex seizures for almost 20 years. I take Keppra and Lamictal, and thought I don't have any problems getting and keeping an erection, I find it almost impossible to ejaculate when I'm with my partner. Even when I masturbate, it takes a lot of time and concentration to achieve orgasm.
Avatar f tn This needs ruling out by an EEG and MRI brain to search for any focal lesion particularly temporal lobe. Anxiety seems to be a big problem for you and needs medications called anti anxiety drugs like benzodiazepines to relieve the symptoms. Your neurologist is the best judge and please cooperates with him in achieving proper therapy. Hope this helps. Take care.
Avatar f tn I have been using a different online seizure diary for my son and have found it very useful. If you search seizure tracker on google you should be able to find it. It is free and creates really cool graphs that compare medications to seizure activity. I have been emailing the reports to our neurologist prior to our appointments. It make all of our appointments much more productive.
Avatar n tn All because of Lamictal and Abilify. Recommend that you do a search for Abilify side affects. She should be weaned off that dangerous drug.
Avatar n tn I have an idopathic seizure disorder for 35 years without seizure for 28 years. I have never had an abnormal EEG, CAT, CT, MRI or PET of the Brain. I was on Dilantin for over 30 years and transitioned to Lamictal 4 months ago however developed rash and had to be dc'd. I have been on small dose of Klonopin and Paxil 37.
Avatar n tn You can confirm this possible drug-induced seizure by doing an online search of each medication, for side effects and interactions, using the EXACT spellings as printed on your documentation. As for his needing to return to work, your husband almost died. Most employers will understand the seriousness of a "brain seizure," a week in the hospital, and now heavy sedation.
Avatar m tn I have never seen any patient in any kind of arrhythmia having a seizure. Pre-syncopy and pure syncopy, yes, but never a seizure. Could the medicine he was taking have this affect? Did he take this medicine for awhile, while all of this was happening, and then came off the medicine and improved? You really need to think about this.
Avatar n tn I had Epilepsy diagnosed and my first seizure at age 30 - my social life improved. I cared more about what my life and work was doing to me. My guess is that any beer or alcohol is hirting your son. An average seizure is over in within 5", though mine are longer. There is info on first aid for epilepsy. Definitely if he falls protect his head against anything hard or sharp. During or after a seizure he may have mucus which can be relieved by turning him to the side.
Avatar n tn He was taken to the hospital because of dehydration caused by having Dengue for 6 days, at the hospital he was treated for Dengue only, but then he started shaking involuntarily for 2 days, the doctors started the search to find out the cause, all blood exams where made and nothing (there was a time one exam said that his calcium level was low, but then they repeat the blood test and apparently it was a lab mistake).
Avatar m tn One is a simple partial seizure. A simple seizure is the one in which the patient is aware throughout. And partial means, only some body parts show movements. The second one is Sleep paralysis. I was wondering if you have got your EEG done. EEG is a good test to show epileptic discharges in the brain.
Avatar m tn What's the differences between CNS depression and depression? May i know what's the causes of depression? Does it relate to the neurotransmitter? Diazepam is an anti-depressant? It enhances the effect of GABA by binding to the benzodiazepine site on the GABA A-receptor. After binding to the receptor, may i know what's the next mechanism? GABA is an inhibitory neurotransmitter? If GABA is an inhibitory neurotransmitter, how does diazepam can cause anti-depress?
